Thank you so much! The art of this movie was so wild and a visual treat! I love all the sci-fi meets fantasy elements here; Poor Unico being mislabeled all the time, though! THE FLUTE BUG BISHONEN AS KNIVES yessss -- I can totally see that! And ahhh, yes, the themes were pretty on point here! I feel the "apprentice" and Knives may have gotten along well in another world! :P This movie was way more than I expected and I really enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! Loved the reaction & discussion! This was an excellent treat to catch up with. 🥰 Potentially, sound sensitivity representation in an 80s animation? Amazing. I really loved the different colour palette of this one and that contrast of the beginning focusing so much on foliage in the environments – and moving to the ‘stone.’ Visually, I loved this one. And I thought we’d have Unico going into space! I agree that this one was definitely influenced by the beginning of the sci-fi/mecha lean of the 80s. Poor Unico “goat-cat-sheep-pony” 🤣 Am I gonna at some point stop linking works to Trigun? Not today. 😆 My first thought with the flute-bug-bishonen was Knives! Especially with the on-going themes of environmentalism and – very explicitly – worker exploitation and worker rights. That whole puppet march sequence had a very specific metaphor in mind. Looking forward to the next entry! 💙 (Later today 😆)
