The story does keep getting better and better, doesn’t it?! I’m sorry you’ve had to go through depression and I cannot imagine how that would feel to deal with it long term. The toxicity of friend groups and social circles can be a lot and I hate that it did that to you. I’m glad that you were able to cut ties and free yourself– that’s so important and I definitely draw some motivation from Rei as well. It isn’t easy but I’m happy you got away from that environment! Thank you for the kind words and the comment on here; this was SUCH a good episode!

And this is why its one of my favorite anime, all of the episode until now were flawless but the story keeps on surpassing itself and i relate so so much with this story due to my own experiences its even hard for me sometimes when i watch it, i've been though depression for years and im not even totally out of it for various reason such as harcelement for almost all of my schools years i've had to quit school when i was in high school and do home school although i loved studying and tried to bare with it, i've had so many toxic friends that would manipulate me too a point of me breaking and this episode really resonate with me because i've had a moment similar as the one Rei had where i just let it all out and thats where i've personally cut all ties with all the toxic person around me and its been such a liberation. The thing when you're really deep in a toxic relationship is that its so hard to end it, you're afraid of a lot of thing espacially when you're alone, its really not an easy thing to do.
