Hi Medhi, in my shool i made the same test as you. The voltage between live and neutral is 230V so i put a 10k resistor between live and earth and it popped the breaker for more then 6 classrooms with ongoing lessons🤣😂😂. It was the funniest thing. I knowd that this is gonna happen but the lesson was just to boring.

Well, i do also have a GFCI at home, that doesn't trip at all. I mean i am still a student, but last time when i made finnish my high voltage power supply with a metal housing, the arcs jumped to the exposed metal which didn't trip the GFCI or FI as we call it. You sure do a lot of traveling and having fun! Here in Israel we have the same GFI system. One GFI protecting the entire apartment. If it trips, the only way to figure out which circuit is the culprit is to switch off all the breakers, flip the main breaker back on and flip up the breakers one by one. Guess it's safer than just protecting washroom and outdoor circuits only, but a bit of a nuisance to restore power.

I'm thinking I might also make the trek from Canada to Open Sauce, but I'm not sure how I would present at a booth. I teach rocket science and engineering online to kids of all ages, and create lots of content for my classes, but haven't had any great ideas for how to create it for a booth... We shall see!
