I actually like occasional rants as long as they have rational foundations and remind you to stop and use your common sense. That works out perfectly in your case and stays funny every time. But more isn´t necessarily better. Angry rants work best if you don´t see them coming. So maybe lower the frequency but boost amplitude :D

Serious question: So a regular battery is only good until the electrolyte has free positive and negative ions in them. But why don’t these positive and negative ions come together to form pairs by themselves?

RE recycling non-rechargable batteries - nobody does. Even very green recycling places say just landfill them. As far as I can tell municipal recycling programs take them out of the recycling bin and landfill them. The cost to recover any usable materials from the batteries is many times the cost of just getting virgin materials, and there's nothing particularly harmful in alkaline batteries anymore - carbon, steel, zinc. LiIon should be recycled but it's hard to find a place that will take them.

I should negotiate these. I was trying to get freebees for viewers from Raycon but they don't like the idea. I think sponsors are worried people won't sign up if they wait for the draw to see if they win. Maybe they would be ok if I limit it to patrons only.
