I don't think it's a good idea. There will be cross-channel interaction no matter what. That could be positive or negative. Although, if you choose one subject you find important and which contributes to everyone, I think that would be a good idea.

I think that's a fine idea, especially doing it on a separate channel. All work and no complaining makes Mehdi a dull boy, you know. As for the name the only thing i could come up with off of the top of my head was "Sadaghdar says", but that might not be the best SEO-wise ;-).

I would do it, you have a great personality, and even when u are angry at "free engery hacks" or something its still enjoyable. And it would be another source of income if you need it.

Off topic but I have another idea for an electronics project that might sell some oscilloscopes, assuming it is possible. Can you use the function generator from your oscilloscope to generate a single in household wiring that will allow you to trace wiring behind walls. For example, Ideal or GreenLee circuit tracers. Extra points if you can trace the single generated with a normal radio, or cellphone or something.

Hello, definitely try it at least! As long as you would enjoy doing the videos and the views would not be a problem, I don't see a reason why not to do it. Personally I would be excited to have more videos from you, whatever they would be about. And I am quite certain I am not the only one! Some people would surely find it interesting and enjoy watching those videos, and that's what it's all about, isn't it? :) Moreover, you could have a break from your main channel from time to time and eventually it could become popular enough to be your second source of income, you never know. By the way, "Mehdi's Spews" sounds great. :)

Had a blog and an audio blog for a few years. Eventually all the criticism of my “thoughts” made me close it down. As long as you really don’t care about the comments you should be fine. I remember you had a video about changing brake pads and even though it was unrelated to electronics I thought it was nice. Made me try it myself.

Bad publicity from your political channel could have an effect on your electronics channel. Be careful who you offend. You might consider a written blog, like Drudge Report, where you would publish links to things you consider interesting but offer no personal opinions. In the worse case scenario, you can apologize and claim you did not read/understand what was linked to. Let others take the flak for you. On the other hand, your ElectroBoom fans probably don't care if you are neo whatever.

If the goal is to just get things said that you can't fit into your electronics videos AND you are not much concerned with the monetary aspect of it then yes, go for it. I think you do a great job ranting in your current videos but I would probably stop in now and then to see what you are yelling about on your second channel.

Sharing your personal life with the Internet is a personal choice. It doesn't matter what other people think, they'll tune in or they won't. Follow your heart and enjoy life.

Your current (...) channel is your bread and butter, so be mindful that if the new channel took on divisive topics, people might vent their anger on ElectroBOOM channel to hit you in the pocketbook. After all, "One man's Mehdi's another man's Persian." If it's just you being warm and funny and intelligent, then no worries: it might lead more people to ElectroBOOM. The Edsel cost Ford a lot. I think it's a great idea. I enjoy hearing creators talk about what interests them, I would definitely watch it. I listen to a few podcasts also from many different people. My favorites are the ones that just feel like a friend hanging out and chatting.
