I wonder how well it would work at different angles to minimises noise from the background window. For example, either aim it up from the ground or aim it down from a height. Another idea would be to place it to the left or right such as on a tripod, like how some wedding videographers capture a speaking priest/groom/bride from a side aisle.

Maybe something in the building I can't here, or maybe an artifact of microphone itself. Enabling the 75Hz filter should help.

I found it interesting how much low frequency noise was in the closet. Is it close to the windows or the outside, or is that all reverberant noise from inside the building? P.S. Røde Røde Røde your mic, gently raise the gain, noisily noisily noisily noisily, mix is such a shame.

I’m just down the Rode, though if you are giving away confidence I could take more of that too

That's right. I really like the shotgun too especially because it provides more frequency tuning capabilities too. But maybe I chose wrong wording, I really meant noise performance when I said good quality. The audio quality is very objective anyways.

In the video you said that the lavalier microphone has a better quality than the shotgun one, because of the SNR. However, higher frequencies are more directional than mid-low frequencies, right? I mean, if a microphone is pointing at your mouth your voice shold be clearer. Yes, the lavalier is closer but it shouldn't be able to capture those frequencies that make your voice more "dynamic". P.S. I need a shotgun mic because I'm tring to make a short movie. So put me on the RODE to success!!!
