Heh, I was going to suggest some sort of sensor so that the patio heater turns off when people leave. Then it occurred to me that most occupancy sensors are IR...

I've loved these videos showing the electrical systems around your house. Keep them up!

You can put some plexiglass on the outside of the patio, have it go from top to bottom. So you don't loose your heat. You can mount it so its easy to remove in the summer.

Very nice! I would do something similar. But, I live in Arizona. And we don't have that many cold days here.

Just what the sun does in winter…

I don't like that, they have that in bars, it is just "IR optical" illusion. You can feel the heat, but air around is still freezing cold. So you can be freezing and burning at the same time. You can even get "sunburns" from those kind of heaters :D

Looks like a great area to enjoy family and friends. If not you can always set up plexiglass and then build your new E-studio out there. Matter of fact it is probably quiet and hard to find you out there. Hmmmm... now I'm thinking of doing the same.
