I am reading about some electrocutions in Houston from submerged power lines. I wonder if those AC voltage detectors sold at home stores could detect submerged power lines. Or perhaps those neon bulb type detectors. I found this web site from an internet search, it claims that when testing for live current you should use the back of your hand, not the palm of your hand. Why we should use the back of the hand only: If you use the back of the hand, the electric shock will cause your muscles to cramp, automatically pulling your hand out of the water. The digital scopes I had used in college (circa 1999) were horribly expensive and not very feature rich. I'm really impressed by the features for the modern ones. I would love to play with one so I can see all my RasPi communications :)
