NSFW Sketch February - Dom Drop

Last month’s NSFW sketch is finally done—it only took … an eternity. 😅 But at least I can assure you that I used my time wisely: setting up the webshop, organizing pre-orders, getting back into working out, lying on the couch and reading a comic every now and then, AND of course, drawing this picture—which took me more attempts than ever before! X,D
To be honest, I REALLY wanted to draw this theme because “Dom-Drop” is something that rarely gets talked about—and Derek is definitely going to experience one in the story. But I was struggling to come up with the perfect idea! I knew it would be something like “Derek looks sad, and Gogo comforts him”… but that could easily end up looking boring or cliché. XD
I wanted Derek to look deeply human but still unmistakably himself. You know what I mean? We rarely see Derek sad or shaken, so I had to be very careful not to make him feel out of character.
What is “Dom-Drop”?
People often talk about Sub-Drop—the feeling of sadness, guilt, shame, or even physical pain that a sub can experience after a session when their endorphin levels drop. During play, the body releases a rush of happy hormones, and once that high fades, it can leave a person feeling vulnerable. Some people even experience this after vanilla sex! When it’s so beautiful, and then suddenly it’s over, and you feel weirdly confronted with yourself and your mundane existence. 😅 That’s exactly what this phenomenon is. And that’s why aftercare is so important!
But strangely, Dom-Drop isn’t talked about as much. A Dom can also experience an emotional crash during or after a session. The reasons vary:
• Maybe they crossed a boundary they didn’t intend to.
• Maybe their sub’s reaction unsettled them.
• A Dom also exposes their true self—revealing their desires, openly and honestly. Maybe deep down, they still feel shame about that.
• Or they feel like they “failed”—lost control of the situation or weren’t “good enough.”
• Sometimes, love and desire clash: if you love someone SO much that suddenly, hurting them feels wrong, it creates an internal struggle.
I wondered: How would Derek react if he suddenly lost control of his emotions?
He would run away, hide! Because he HATES showing weakness. Normally, he masks it behind his cheerful facade. But what if he couldn’t anymore? Then he’d isolate himself—building walls around him.
So, I needed a Derek who runs away and a wall for Gogo to break through. I didn’t want to use metaphors like angels and demons—it felt too distant.
Then suddenly, I had THE idea: a shower curtain.
It sounds silly, but Derek sleeps in a bathtub. The shower is already a safe space for him. A closed shower curtain creates a cave-like shelter. And that’s where Gogo finds him—to comfort him. Because of course, he won’t let Derek sit there alone, sad, and smoking. XD
That’s the story behind this NSFW sketch … which isn’t really NSFW at all. X,D
Next up are probably … +drum roll+ HANDS OFF! pages! XD And they’re going to be … VERY smutty. 😚

Der NSFW-Sketch vom letzten Monat ist fertig – das hat ja nur … eine Ewigkeit gedauert. 😅 Aber wenigstens kann ich euch versichern, dass ich die Zeit gut genutzt habe: Ich habe den Webshop eingerichtet, die Vorbestellungen organisiert, wieder mit Sport angefangen, zwischendurch mal auf der Couch gelegen und einen Comic gelesen – UND natürlich dieses Bild gezeichnet, für das ich so viele Anläufe gebraucht habe wie noch nie! X,D
Um ehrlich zu sein, wollte ich dieses Motiv UNBEDINGT zeichnen, weil das Phänomen des “Dom-Drop” kaum thematisiert wird – und Derek wird im Laufe der Geschichte definitiv einen erleben. Aber mir fehlte einfach die zündende Idee! Ich wusste, dass es in die Richtung „Derek sieht traurig aus und Gogo tröstet ihn“ gehen würde … aber naja, daraus können leicht langweilige oder klischeehafte Motive entstehen. XD
Ich wollte, dass Derek zutiefst menschlich aussieht und trotzdem noch wie er selbst wirkt. Wisst ihr, was ich meine? Man sieht Derek so selten traurig oder erschüttert, dass man bei der Darstellung sehr vorsichtig sein muss, damit er nicht out of character wirkt.
Was ist “Dom-Drop”?
Über Sub-Drop wird oft gesprochen. Es beschreibt das Phänomen, dass sich ein/e Sub nach einer Session schlecht fühlt – Schuldgefühle, Traurigkeit, Scham oder sogar körperliche Schmerzen, wenn das Endorphin-Level im Körper absinkt. Beim Spielen werden viele Glückshormone ausgeschüttet, und wenn dieser Rausch nachlässt, kann das einen sehr verwundbar machen. Manche Menschen erleben das sogar nach Vanilla-Sex! Wenn es wunderschön war und dann plötzlich vorbei ist, fühlt man sich irgendwie seltsam und auf sich selbst zurückgeworfen. 😅 Genau DAS ist dieses Phänomen. Und deshalb ist Aftercare so wichtig!
Was aber seltsamerweise kaum thematisiert wird, ist der Dom-Drop. Auch ein Dom kann während oder nach einer Session einen emotionalen Zusammenbruch erleben. Die Gründe sind vielfältig:
• Vielleicht hat er eine Grenze überschritten, die er eigentlich nicht übertreten wollte.
• Vielleicht hat ihn die Reaktion seines Subs verunsichert.
• Man darf nicht vergessen, dass auch der Dom sich innerlich „frei“ macht – er zeigt, worauf er wirklich steht, ganz offen und ehrlich. Und vielleicht schämt er sich tief im Inneren noch immer für seine Neigungen.
• Oder er hat das Gefühl, „versagt“ zu haben – die Situation nicht unter Kontrolle gehabt zu haben, nicht „gut genug“ zu sein.
• Manchmal kollidieren Liebe und Neigung: Wenn man jemanden SO sehr liebt, dass es plötzlich schwerfällt, ihm Schmerzen zuzufügen, kann ein innerer Konflikt entstehen.
Ich habe mich gefragt: Wie würde Derek reagieren, wenn er plötzlich spürt, dass seine Gefühle außer Kontrolle geraten?
Er würde weglaufen, sich verstecken! Denn er HASST es, Schwäche zu zeigen. Normalerweise versteckt er sie hinter seiner ausgelassenen Fassade. Aber was, wenn er das nicht mehr kann? Dann zieht er sich zurück – und baut eine Mauer um sich.
Ich brauchte also einen Derek, der wegläuft oder sich versteckt und eine Mauer, die Gogo durchbricht. Ich wollte das aber nicht metaphorisch darstellen – das wäre mir zu plump gewesen. xD Also keine Engel-Teufel-Symbolik oder ähnliches. Ich habe es ausprobiert, aber es fühlte sich zu distanziert an.
Und dann hatte ich plötzlich DIE Idee: Ein Duschvorhang.
Klingt erstmal bescheuert, aber … Derek schläft in einer Badewanne. Die Dusche ist also ohnehin schon eine Art Rückzugsort für ihn. Und ein zugezogener Duschvorhang schafft eine kleine Höhle, eine Art Privatsphäre. In genau diesen Raum dringt Gogo ein, um Derek zu trösten. Denn natürlich lässt er es nicht zu, dass Derek da alleine sitzt, traurig ist und raucht. XD
Das ist die Geschichte hinter diesem NSFW-Sketch … der eigentlich gar nicht NSFW ist, wenn wir mal ehrlich sind. X,D Aber diese Art von Intimität ist auch mal schön, oder? Ich liebe das Bild jedenfalls total – es ist genauso geworden, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Ich hoffe, ihr mögt es auch! 🖤

This is so beautiful I love it. Dereks expression is so intense but also subtle. And Gogo just looks so patient and sweet. ❤️ I used to experience drops after vanilla sex when I first started having it regularly but I didn't understand what it was. I thought I was just being dumb and clingy and that just made the shame worse. But when I learned more about BDSM and learned what a sub-drop was, I realized what I was actually experiencing and that I could get through it with the right partner. It was hard for me to admit to my current partner that I need a little extra attention after sex but he gets it now and we're always intentional about only having sex if we know we'll have time to deal with the aftermath even tho it happens way less these days when we're just being vanilla about it. Yes! Often, I’m annoyed by depictions of dominants in other webtoons. 😅 their this cliché stoic dude without emotions. I can’t find it even sexy, because he‘s just a primitive clutz. I find it so much more attractive when guys have complex feelings. When they try to control their primitive urges and fight themselves. I hope I can make it more clear during the course of the story, that a lot of Derek’s strange behavior is a workaround to avoid sadism seeping into his everyday life. Funnily that fear of him is a bit irrational, because his sadism is mostly a bedroom-fantasy. But he finds that so disturbing himself that he FEARS it could also manifest in real life. 😅 Many people with fetishes are overly ashamed, even when their kink is pretty harmless. Derek always fears, that this preference makes him less human. And he‘s always looking for the perfect partner to be his kinky self for a moment without shame. He needs the right partner for that and Gogo is trying his best to be just that!
