First Renditions of the Opening Screen/Main Menu and Names !
🕑 Added 2024-05-01 21:33:02 +0000 UTCThe early development stages were FULL with redraws and redesigns, especially since I wasn't the greatest artist out there. The first picture you see there, which is the same as the profile picture for this page :], was the first ever Main Menu image attempt.
I quickly realized that:
1 - I didn't like how it turned out
2 - There wasn't a lot of space to put the start, load, exit etc. buttons.
My second attempt is what I settled with in the end, but I definitely needed to redraw them all, as usual :)
Another peculiar thing you might've noticed is a name... A title screen to be more exact. The game was originally going to be called SoulBound: The Test
Don't ask why I landed on that or why it was scratched out. I guess it was just a little weird since I still wanted the game to be HEAVELY nsfw so a name like that could've given people the wrong impressions.
Other names I was thinking of at the time were The Path I Chose and Academy Love Paths, which is actually still the name of the game in my Ren'Py directory, heh. Very straight forward, but maybe too on the nose this time for both of them.
Now I just can't wait to show you all what I'm cooking behind scenes, stuff that actually looks good, stuff that I don't need to redraw or redesign, stuff that I'm already experienced with. ^^
