As soon as we released Lae'zel we were informed of two design flaws:
1. Short nails instead of sharp claw-like ones. Honestly, you skip just one day in a nail salon and people immediately take notice!
2. Apparently, mind flayers don't have suckers on their tentacles. Which is, frankly, something we never even considered.
The most obvious decision would be to shrug and laugh it off as "legally distinct brain devourer". But, unfortunately to all our team members, I am a perfectionist to a fault, so we all spent the last weekend updating the sculpt, cuts, supports, and renders - all to restore the justice!
The model is already updated everywhere. The old severed head is added as an option for flavor, but the old nails are gone for good.
