Everyone knew that Gunkitty’s Shoothouse was the premier high-end gun club on Dimiya, at least when it came to ‘conventional’, ballistic weaponry. OK, for fancy modern weapons like blasters or psyshot weapons, there were other places just as well known. But for a high-quality old-style firearm? No one better. And yeah, there were definitely weapons shops that did a lot more in the way of actual business when it came to moving products. But every weapon sold at Gunkitty’s was a legitimate work of art. Fine, there were prettier weapons out there, too. But they were all wallhangers, meant to be seen and not heard. Any gun with the catspaw maker’s mark was guaranteed to be a functional, battle-ready weapon as well as a beautiful one.
Now, being in the seedier, more industrial, higher-crime city of Shvehona City instead of the capitol of Thelorious might make one think that the shop would have a less glamorous clientele. It certainly made one think that it might not be entirely safe for someone to be coming and going to the area it was located in. And one would also expect any successful shop in such an area to be beset by organized crime and other nastiness that would keep people away. That is why the other ‘classy, high-end’ shops all found themselves being situated in the capitol, after all.
One could be forgiven for coming to those conclusions, but they would have been reached in ignorance. The fact was that anyone who knew anything about Gunkitty’s knew that the shop was protected, and, by extension, the people going or coming from it. The last time someone tried to mug a client of Gunkitty’s on their way to pick up their piece, the client found his belongings, including all his money, at his door the next morning, and the hapless mugger was found in several pieces across the city.
The last time someone tried and rob the shop itself? Well, some things are too horrible to even mention. Safe to say that, no matter how desperate you are, there are better, and far less messy, ways of committing suicide than by trying to rob a gunsmith in her store full of guns. And that was just when the store was open. The ‘security system’ involved a pair of drones with machine guns and very little in the way of a sense of humor. No one tried to rob Gunkitty’s twice.
Arv k’Tea (better known as Kiki to her friends, and Gunkitty to her customers) was enjoying a quiet afternoon, and was up at the counter, for once, instead of squirreled away in her workshop working on a new project, or out on the indoor range, engaging in the therapeutic activity of giving targets a bad case of high-velocity lead poisoning. She’d just finished her last big job, a custom belt-fed grenade launcher that a certain someone had asked for. Well, she finished her part of it. It was with the engraver now. The customer wanted a special art style for the engraving, so she outsourced the engraving on this one to someone who knew the style.
No, for the moment she was simply wasting away the last few minutes until quitting time, when she could go home, and get ready for a nice night of eating tuna and drinking beer as she watched TV. Tuna and beer might seem a strange combination, and it certainly wasn’t something she’d ever try in the real world, but this Felisan body of hers had different ideas about what did and didn’t taste good.
That body also had certain needs, needs that were getting harder to keep satisfied. She wasn’t like the Captain she had met on kisArra, and certainly not like the business mogul and Admiral he had become. She couldn’t just engage in random flings and one-night stands. If she shared herself with another person like that, she wanted it to mean something. Unfortunately, Felisans apparently had a bit of a racial quirk that wasn’t mentioned in the race overview: female Felisans went into heat every so often. That had come as quite the shock to her, when she found out the hard way.
Ding-dong.
The door chimed as it opened, distracting her from her ‘pussycat problems’. She looked up, only to see someone she had not expected to see again standing in her doorway. 1.8 meters tall, with short, cropped hair, dressed all in black, and carrying one of Kiki’s most infamous creations in this world slung across his back.
“Rippy! How’ve you been you crazy bastard? You best not have mangled my baby there!”
Derek Vulkan, better known to the universe as the assassin Requiesce-in-Pace, chuckled as he allowed the door to close behind him. “Hey, Kiki. You know how it is. Killing time between killing times. Thought I’d swing by and see if you had any ideas for a partner to go with Nachtbringer here. She’s a beauty for distance work, but there’s been a few times I’ve been wanting something with a bit more rapid fire, at mid to short range. There’s been a couple jobs where I had to rely on off the shelf weapons to fill that role, and it just felt wrong to have one of those cheap tools sitting in the same inventory as Nachtbringer.”
Kiki grinned as she slipped off her chair. “Oh, I can do something, sure. I’ve got some good models in stock, or I can do a complete custom build for you.” She turned around, and bent over to open up the cases of the military grade rifles, instead of the pistols and shotguns on display. “What do you want?”
Derek gulped at the view in front of him. “Wouldn’t mind getting a piece of that tail.” He winced as he realized he’d muttered that out loud, instead of just saying it in the safety of his own head. Judging by the way Kiki’s tail stiffened, she probably heard it, too. He took a breath as she turned around and looked him in the eye. “OK, that might not have come out like I wanted it to, but it was a really distracting view!”
Kiki looked the assassin over, amusement at his being flustered warring with a whole lot of flustering going on for her part, as well. Sure, she had people flirt with her. Mollen flirted every time he saw her. But that was different. He knew she wasn’t into flings, and didn’t want to share, and he respected it. A bit of harmless flirting was fine. But, Derek, he never flirted! He was always so calm and controlled!
Licking her lips, Kiki moved out from behind the counter. With slow, steady grace she moved to the door, and locked it, before turning over the ‘open’ sign and flicking off the lights. There was still plenty of light from the streetlights outside for her eyes to see. No one was going to interrupt her hunt. Her hunt? God, it must be the heat talking. Still, she had to admit that Derek was a good-looking specimen, and he wasn’t a playboy, by any stretch of the imagination.
“Uh, Kiki? W-what’s going on?”
In a purring voice, she said, “Derek, I’m only going to tell you this once. I don’t do flings or one-night stands. And this kitty most certainly doesn’t share. You want a bit of my tail, you better know what you’re signing up for. I’ll rock your world so hard you’ll be feeling it when you log out, and have you coming back for more, but if you try and play me, or go cheating on me, then you best believe that I’m every bit as dangerous as you, mister master assassin.” Before either of them knew it, the smaller Felisan had backed the assassin back against the counter, her hands gripping his collar.
Kiki didn’t know how he did it. Some kind of psy power, maybe? Or maybe he was just that fast? Either way, one moment he was in front of her, pinned against her counter, and the next he was behind her, his arms wrapped around her middle, holding her close. Close enough that she could feel something hard against her rear, pressing against her. Derek leaned forward and whispered into the Felisan’s ear, “Hey now, pussycat. I don’t play around. Not smart for an assassin to go building up personal enemies like that. And it is damn rude, to boot.”
Kiki purred as he slid one hand over the leather top she wore in the shop, stopping to squeeze her breast. She knew the Heat was affecting her, as she ground the backside of her matching leather pants against him. She knew it, but, at the moment, she couldn’t much bring herself to care. She’d been good, oh so good, and hadn’t gone hopping around from bed to bed, like it would have been so very easy for her to do. She was hot, even without the ‘catgirl’ thing, and she knew it. But she didn’t want an empty, meaningless relationship, and she didn’t want to share. She moaned in pleasure as the assassin nibbled on her catlike ear. Oh, damn, that felt so good!
Derek smiled as Kiki began responding to his touch. As the hand not occupied with her breast began sliding southwards, into her tight leathers, he stopped nibbling on her ear for a moment, to whisper into it. “So, what do you say, Kiki? The gunsmith and the assassin, setting out to see what kind of a life they can make? I’ll probably have to leave from time to time on work, and you’ve got the shop, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try and make it work.” And then he blew lightly into her ear.
“Mrrrow! Stop talking and fuck me, damn it!”
He grinned as the sexy Felisan started ordering him around. Slowly, he pulled down her leather pants, revealing the sleek, furred legs underneath them, and the glistening wetness nestled between her thighs and below her tail. He left her pants around her knees, to keep her from moving around too much, and got down behind her. She, no doubt, wanted him to take her. He wanted to taste her first.
Kiki purred loudly as his tongue met her folds, tracing her slit as he did so. She responded to the gentle pressure of his hand, bending her over the counter and keeping her there, enjoying the sensation of his tongue probing inside her, tasting her wetness. Her tail lashed about, a clear indicator of the pleasure she was feeling, if there was anyone watching to take note of it. In her Heat-influenced state, it did not take long for him to get her motor running, and only moments longer for her thighs to shudder as a climax rocked her body. Derek grinned as he licked his lips, tasting the juices that had coated them as he rose to his feet. With an easy motion, he dropped his pants to the floor, freeing his already hard cock from its prison. He did not want to give the Felisan a chance to relax. She wanted it, she was going to get it, and get it as good as his game stats could give it to her.
