BadCompany: Ok, ok, I’ll admit it. I may have been slacking off since the dungeon had kindof plateaued. But damn, Goblin Town is vicious!
Righteous: And that random labyrinth thing it does? So unfair! We can’t plan the best routes that way!
Scholar: And unless you pay for the guide, you won’t know which way to go. The demon’s certainly good at getting us to give him the gold we earn.
VenusFlyTramp: Man, you guys don’t know how good you have it, with a dungeon you can just go out and farm. There isn’t a dungeon near Naples, so the guild there has been sending people to the swamp to train.
Salty: You’re the ones that brought that warning about the undead last week, right? Don’t suppose you got any updates?
MagicMike: Unfortunately, no. We were out hunting when the idiot (no offense, Id10t) set off the ‘undead plague’ spell, or whatever it was.
Id10t: None taken. That guy really was an idiot if he cast the spell without knowing the effects.
MagicMike: Anyways, the undead have pretty much cut off travel between Naples and Miami. It wasn’t exactly an easy, or pleasant, trek before, but now you almost have to go by boat around the tip and into the Gulf. So all we have is second hand stories.
Satyr: Why can’t you just take I-75 or US-41? Used to only take a couple hours to drive, so if you have a reconditioned vehicle…
TsundereHealer: You’ll call down all the nastiest creatures in the swamp on you. Think walking along the bank of a river without looking for gators. Now picture that the gators are big ass monsters and aren’t afraid of attacking cars.
VenusFlyTramp: And then you have the undead to worry about on top of that. No, you’d have to go up north through Boca Raton, or risking US-27 to cut across the swamp, and head for FL-80 to then take I-75 south to Naples if you wanted the quickest land route.
Satyr: Fuck, I hadn’t realized it was so bad.
TsundereHealer: Naples up to Tampa isn’t too bad. You have monsters in parts, sure, and a couple dungeons up near Tampa, but you don’t have anything like the ‘Glades or Boca to deal with. Orlando, on the other hand…
AsaAkiraIsBae: What happened to Orlando?
VenusFlyTramp: The ‘kingdom of mouse’ is now one huge ass dungeon. Happened the first day of the Apocalypse, while the park was full of people.
Scholar: I’d heard about that. The surrounding area also is having some undead problems. Not connected to the Necropolis, thank goodness, but it seems clear that someone smashed open a zombie dungeon near there. They’ve been fighting the things ever since.
Lord_Kickass: Damn, makes me glad for those fucking goblins. At least the dungeon will let you trade if you have something it wants.
VenusFlyTramp: Is it true that the Demon will sometimes let groups go if they ‘service’ him?

RedFox: Ugh. Yes. But he’s only likely to make the offer if he’s in the middle of humiliating you. From all we’ve seen, he likes the torture aspect, so if you’re wanting it he’s more likely to toss you to the goblins or Captain Hentai.
Max: Yeah, it has been tried, especially since the Demon made itself known to the public, but the ones that want it are usually forced to fight, or they have to watch while a teammate takes the hit.
VenusFlyTramp: Well, poo. Everything I’ve heard about the demon says he’s one hell of a lay.
Bacchus: That’s how people end up getting enslaved to the dungeon, Venus.
Crusader: That, and the demon making deals with other people. There was one guy who signed a contract and got… modified by demon and granted slave collars to use on his party. The price, though, was that he had to bring in new people to be enslaved to the dungeon.
Scholar: Clever. It is unclear whether the Demon can exit the dungeon, so he used a minion under contract to keep from drawing notice to himself while he got new people to work with.
Temptation: Well, I admit that was a nice piece of work, and very satisfying, how it ended.
LightningLegacy: YOU? HOW?
Temptation: RedFox can answer that, I believe.
RedFox: Early on, my team brought the dungeon a reconditioned laptop. We later found out that’s part of how areas of the dungeon are connected to the internet.
Crusader: You bastard!
Temptation: Oh, shush, you. I’m not here for threats and the like. Think of this as my way of reading Yelp reviews.
LatinHeat: Oh damn, this is the demon? How long has he been listening to our threads? Someone call a moderator!
Temptation: Anyway, as a show of good faith, I will confirm one of Scholar’s pet theories.
Scholar: Oh? Which one is this?
Temptation: What happens when you destroy a dungeon core.
Scholar: So, this is about Boca Raton, then?
Temptation: Very good. Yes, it is about Boca Raton. There was to be a dungeon there, but unfortunately it was discovered by two humans. They thought it was just some shiny crystal, since they had no clue what a dungeon was, or what a core looked like, and fought over it, smashing the core in the process. The result? Goblins everywhere.
Scholar: How did you learn this?
Temptation: A dungeon core contains a great deal of potential power. When it was shattered, the two brawlers were fused, and changed. They became a Named Goblin. Fortunately for me, the recent subjugation effort brought this named Goblin to me, and shi now lives in Goblin Town.
Scholar: Fascinating.
Temptation: Isn’t it though?
Scholar: I don’t suppose you’d consent to an interview?
Temptation: You know what they say, everything has its price. Are you willing to pay for access to the knowledge I hold?
