I've got some more images posted up for you all on the site, under the "Announcements" tab! Lot's of thrusting in this one. So, I apologize if the images are a bit samey, lol. But, rest assured, things continue to escalate quite a bit through the ending of this project.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! While I had hoped to be completely through simulations coming into the week, I'm quite close. All of the technically complex, more aggressive, simulations are complete, and I just have a couple of final fluid simulations to finish up. As is often the case with my animations, there are quite a few different fluids, in high volumes, flying around at the climax, lol. But, I expect the simulations to be finished up either overnight or early into tomorrow. And, fortunately, I don't have too much more to render once these simulations are complete.
So, I will be back in a few days with one last update to let you all know that the sound design has started, and to let you all know that the project will be imminent! Fortunately, because the first portion of the project already has completed sound design (because this alternative ending shares its beginning with the first release), I think that the sound design should be much quicker to create than usual.
Also, there is something else that I wanted to bring up. After this alternative ending releases, I'd like to run a quick poll. I'd like to get everyone's feedback to see if they'd like me to continue with a third alternative ending for Infected Menace, or if they'd like to see me move on to the next project. While it has been my plan to create three endings for Infected Menace, I just want to make sure that there is still interest in another ending before committing time to it. So, please keep an eye out for that if you are interested in sharing your thoughts :)
But, until then, I'm excited to have another Infected Menace ending out to you all! I will be back in a few days to let you all know that the sound design has started :) Until next time, I hope that everyone has a great week!

Or, at least, the most necessary files* (typo, lol)

Thanks pumpkin :) And, I appreciate your feedback on the third ending! I do save old project files. Or, at least, the files most necessary files. So, it could be an option to come back to the project in the future, as well. I didn't think about that possibility!

Great communication as always! Personally i'd like a third ending or for it to be revisited at some stage. Is that an option, can you revisit former projects or do you nuke the files like some artists do to save space and keep it fresh?
