Let's try something new!
🕑 Added 2024-10-02 20:15:00 +0000 UTCEarlier this year I started giving select Kickstarter backers of Baldi's Basics Plus access to pre-release builds of the game's major early-access updates a week before they go public. Since then I've received many requests from people who didn't get to back the Kickstarter to offer another way to access these pre-release builds. Since the Kickstarter campaign ended several years ago, I figured it would be reasonable to try offering a new way for people to show extra support of my work and a new option for those interested in the pre-releases!
So, I've decided to try out Patreon! With Patreon, anyone who's interested can send a small amount of support my way and in return they will receive pre-release builds just like many Kickstarter backers do.
Currently the only content I can promise to distribute to patrons is the pre-releases, however in the a future I might also experiment with posting extra stuff like exclusive behind the scenes content. I'm definitely interested exploring the possibilities of Patreon and returning the favor to members in cool ways!
I also plan on posting status updates here as I do on Kickstarter, which will be available to free members. If you'd like to be kept up to date on the game's development but aren't interested in the pre-releases, you can join as a free member to be notified when new status updates are posted!
Not much more to say other than thank you! Whether you decide to become a patron or are just someone who's been following Baldi's Basics for a while, I'm very thankful for the support!
FAQs:
How will the pre-release builds be distributed?
Pre-release builds will be posted as downloadable .zip files here on Patreon accessible to all current members of the "Baldi's Test Subjects" tier.
Will my name be added to the credits for becoming a paid member?
Currently I can't make any promises, but this is something I will look into!
