this is a very veeery bad idea, not just makes that second most voted mini not able to win next time ,but makes it non elegible because is already done after a paywall so it would not be an valid option for next poll (if it does reach 30 backers)

C27 is offering the option for people who really want a model to get that model commissioned for $10 instead of a full commission fee from each person who wants a character sculpted. This is just a bunch of mini-crowdfunding campaigns with $300 funding goals. Want in on potential models? Get in on their crowdfunding. Don't want to, wait for retail. These models will be additional work on top of monthly releases. These are being sculpted for $300 each. I'd say $10 each is a steal for models that don't exist and never will. Why should you get them for free? At $300/model, you're asking for $3600 in extra work for this month's options. Who is paying for that?

Jeremy Bernhardt

These models won't even happen if 30 people don't want to commit to paying 80% of retail. If you're not willing to pay for the extra time, don't. C27 never said EVERYTHING in their webstore was already part of a monthly release. That might be where everything has come from before, but a web exclusive is a web exclusive, and none of you would get mad if it showed up in the store. You'd use the 30% discount code and you'd be happy. The people funding the potential extra models are willing to pay 80% of retail instead of 70% because they want the model(s) to exist in the first place. You'll get it at a better price if you really don't want to have it missing from your collection, but that better price comes with the huge potential that the model will never exist for you to purchase it with your discount in the first place.

Agree with this (except I joined some months ago).

Not a fan of this idea. I have been a patron for a number of years and don't like the idea that there is now models that will not be part of my subscription.

I don't love this... Part of the reason I support the patreon is to get the full set of stuff you release. Now... there'll be stuff I need to buy separately?

Alan Stark

Is there any option for "extra checkmarks"? People willing to pay in more to see a mini get sculpted?
