My hands are hurt
🕑 Added 2025-02-15 22:29:13 +0000 UTCi REALLY didnt want to slow down now that i am rediscovering my passion for drawing stuff and i HATE to have to do it now that i have a 50% off thing going on, but after several years of neglecting my condition i realized that it will just keep getting worse unless i start taking better care of myself and there will never be a good time for a freelancer artist to take a break
i have to start taking a bit easier, atleast for a few weeks so that i can keep doing this for many more years, i wont entirely take a break but i will take it a bit easier on drawing stuff until i get better, i will limit my drawing time but i dont want to hurt my frequency, i dont want to leave all of you who support me hanging and i want to keep pumping out content for you, so i will reserve more of my drawing time for doing requests, they are quicker to do and therefore it requires less drawing time, hopefully it wont hurt my frequency that much and i will keep trying to pump out atleast 2 illustrations a week.

I havent been too active since the last post, ive been avoiding typing and moving my mouse around too much because i've suffered from tendonitis on my right wrist since around 2018 when i was around 15, actually got tendonitis from an uncontrollable league of legends addiction i had lol, ( thankfully i dont even play that anymore )
since then i've regularly been taking medication and using all kinds of compression gloves, straps and splints, and it did got better for a while, but i never really took a break, and turns out overusing your wrists to play videogames and draw stuff all day everyday ended up making it A LOT worse.
so recently i also developed tendonitis on my left hand and its been getting really bad, really quickly. i just kept using splints and taking my meds for around 7 years the compression gloves helped a lot with the pain at the start and because of that for the most part ive just been neglecting and ignoring the pain since there was never a good time to take a break, but last week the pain got borderline unbearable, i finished the wips that i had pending, swapped out my expensive gaming gear for ergonomic office stuff and while it helped, it still hurts like hell.
hope you understand, i will do my best to get atleast 1 illustrations posted every week, even if it means i have to reserve 1 day per week entirely for drawing

Take your time and slow things down as much as you need, we all rather have you slow down for a while (even years if that's what you need) than stop completely because of an injury! Especially since you are finally having fun again in doing so!
