Emily used to leave the market with crisp greens and careful choices. Now the paper bag on her arm breathes warm with pastries and bread, butter-sweet and soft. Her belly, so much larger than before, pushes out the thin summer dress. Each step sends a slow wobble through her heavy middle. Each inhale reminds her how snug everything has become. She flushes when she catches a look, pressing the bag of yums to her chest. Embarrassment lingers at the edges, but beneath it, a molten little thrill: how easily the veggies gave way to dough, and how completely her body answered.

Okay, I'm on it. I'm going to try and not accidentally hit enter prematurely this time: From nibbling on veggies to chomping on carbs, Emily has now deluging herself in desserts. Her belly has gotten so far ahead of herself that it consistently catches scoops of ice cream falling off the towering sundae. Her poor dress cannot even get halfway over her heaping rump, and her completely bare belly has to do the honors of hiding what's underneath. Regardless the size of her inhuman brood, there's an extremely apparent layer of blubber that pools on her her gut's underside as it weighs on the floor.
