Itsuki’s Substitution 1

This was the oft-used reasoning that Itsuki used to justify a second, larger breakfast, which her tummy would demand less than two hours after she’d trod out of bed.
You’d be forgiven for thinking this was normal for the heavier-than-heavyset teacher, perched as she was upon two specialty chairs while her coworkers bustled about the small Teachers’ Lounge like planets around a giant red star. Clad in black fabric that could never be slimming, golden buttons matching the golden star-clips she wore in her hair, and with a bowl the size of a dinnerplate tucked up to her chin, Itsuki Nakano was the centerpiece of the lounge, even though she had purposefully placed her seats far from its avenues for… obvious reasons.
If you somehow managed to miss out on her size, the near-salacious noises from the girl demanded your attention far more than the murmur of the other teachers who spent the early bird hour in a much different way. They had papers to grade, reports to read, people to talk to. They ate breakfasts of their own, packed meals and disposable cups of coffee, but their satiation was utilitarian. Dispassionate.
Itsuki ate like a woman in love.
A rumble from her stomach sent a jiggle down her thigh. The butterball girl gave a butterball sigh.
An extra-plump strawberry, her pleased kicks graced with an audacious swish. Six-hundred-pounds of wobbly bliss.
Barely anyone paid her any mind. Some did, a flick of the eyes at a particularly indulgent whisper of pleasure or an unintentional glance when the fatty muttering of, “Unnfff… sho good…” permeated the workspace. They saw the girl and her meal. Her joy and her pleasure. Rice and egg vanished into her belly, and a vivacious red juice glimmered on her plump lips.
Despite appearances, a second breakfast was actually an uncommon delight for the young, round, redhead. They were an added bonus, a little blessing that she could purchase for the measly price of ¥2000. A pair of double chocolate doughnuts, a bagel coated in cream cheese, an extra-large chocolate milk, and a lovely iced mocha. A full meal already churned inside of her, devoured before she had wobbled out of the house and sloshing so slightly whenever she moved, but for they had produced little more than a snack for the living belly that Itsuki had become.
A small appetizer for the big bowl of tamagoyaki from which she now feasted and loved.
Three omelet rolls, a helping or three of sticky white rice, decorated with strawberries almost as plump as the redhead herself. To look upon Itsuki as she ate was to see the most pleasurable moment in somebody’s life. You could get used to it, you had to get used to it…
But, you can’t help feel a little jealous that this moment of ecstasy seemed to come to the girl at least five times a day…
*Chomp,* *chew,* *chew,* *swallow.*
*Sigh.*
“Perfect…”
Clicking her chopsticks between sausage-like fingers while holding her cheek, Itsuki’s blissful blush had colored her a most fitting color of porcine pink when someone reached over to tap her on the shoulder.
“Ms. Nakano? Were you listening to me?”
“Yah!” Itsuki bounced, her crystal blue eyes fluttering as her focus crashed through several waves of attraction before surfacing to see the narrow figure and curious expression of Vice Principal Hoshiakari.
“I’ll take that as a no,” the Vice Principal sighed, though she smiled.
Kairi Hoshiakari was an older woman. Her dark hair showed the first signs of silver, and her face had little lines from an often-worn smile. She’d been one of the prominent figures who’d vouched for Itsuki when applying for positions at schools, even though she too had originally balked when the then three-hundred-pound girl had waddled through the interview doors smelling faintly like sugar and a luscious dark chocolate.
“I should have known,” the woman shook her head. “You’d think I’d know better than to just sit down and start talking to you.”
“S-s-sorry,” Itsuki’s blush heated up several degrees. “Eating…”
Kairi hummed, placing a single finger to her cheek. “Would you mind putting the bowl down? So I know I have your attention.”
Itsuki looked down, realizing she’d the bowl held so closely that she could feel it pressing into her thick double chin, and gave a sharp squeal before quickly placing it down. She licked her lips and, after a small silent signal from another female teacher who was sitting across from her, quickly wiped at the flecks of strawberry juice that had marked her soft nose.
“Sorry,” she repeated, turning to Kairi. “Umm, what can I do for you, Mrs. Hoshiakari?”
Kairi placed a hand to her cheek. “You’re always so stately! I keep telling you, in the lounge, we’re all friends! It’s not like we’re running a high school. Or a prison,” she tittered.
“S-sorry.”
“And stop apologizing!”
“S-sorr… Gaaah,” Itsuki turned down, sticking out her tongue at herself and earning a large laugh from her small companion.
“So formal, and yet, so unfocused! Or, perhaps too focused, but on just the wrong things~” Kairi intoned.
“H-hey…” Itsuki’s blush returned in force. “It’s not as if I’m neglectful! I finished grading my reports last night, and I already have today’s lesson prepared! I’d been working on it all weekend!”
To show this, the girl shifted her bulk and leaned beneath her rightmost chair. The pinch in her love handle caused a loud grumble of digestion, and when she came up Itsuki could feel a slight bit of pressure whine for release. Instead, she swallowed the bubbling and deposited her briefcase on the table.
“It took me a lot longer than I thought to get it all finished, but I’m really proud of the result!”
“Oh?”
Itsuki’s had to struggle a little with the latch, her pudgy thumbs always had trouble, but she snapped open her briefcase and carefully removed a small, decorative slab of thick board.
“Goodness!” Kairi exclaimed. “It’s quite colorful.”
Itsuki turned pink with pride. “It’s a boardgame!” she explained. “I put it together based on some of the movies we’ve watched in class! The students will use these game pieces to move along the board, and each different color that they land on correlates to a different deck of cards, which have questions about the different movies! All written in English, of course.”
The older woman took one of the offered game pieces, turning it about in her fingers. “This is a pawn from a chess set,” she said.
“Mhmm! We dunked them in the same paint we used for the board. The objective is to get as many cards as you can before getting to the end. The team who has the most, wins!”
“You painted this all yourself?”
“Not quite…” the big woman giggled. “My boyfriend helped a ton. He drew the… here,” she pointed to a particularly gruff looking cowboy who was talking to a friendly pig which had a spider riding upon its head. “Tsukuyo’s really artistic. He drew most of the art here, which are all characters from the movies!”
“I see! I think I recognize a few, it’s quite impressive.”
“Thank you!” Itsuki gushed. She felt a bubble of pride swelling up in her belly, but her next giggle triggered a chubby reaction and the puffy doughball released that pride as small burp.
Horror.
Terror as true and as sharp as a knife, the red sun’s warmth shot out of the room before the Vice Principal laughed and Itsuki groaned and tried to disappear into her paws like an immense, strawberry bunny.
“Gaaahhh…” Itsuki grumbled. “Sorry. Excited…”
“You burp when you’re excited?” another teacher asked.
Itsuki might have thrown a chess piece at him had not her chest become like frost to her chubby cheeks inferno.
“It’s quite alright, Dear,” Kairi laughed, waving a hand. “I must say, I’d never expected such a lesson. Then again, I remember how most of the board balked at your plan to show movies in class.”
Itsuki’s redness returned to a softer pink. “Yeah… It’s been really effective though! Pronunciation is difficult, so it’s good to expose them to that very early on.”
“I’m aware,” Kairi nodded. “Although, Principal Daraku has asked why so many students have petitioned for our school mascot to be changed to a pig.” Saying this, her finger tapped a different picture which showed a happy pig sitting between a dog and a sheep, smiling to Itsuki with a sly wink.
“That’s one of my favorites, too…” the girl admitted. “At least they don’t gravitate to the sheep.”
“Well! It seems like you are very well prepared,” Kairi nodded approvingly, which Itsuki took as her cue to begin putting away the game set. “I’m glad to see it. Too many instructors wait till the day of to finish up their lesson plans. And look,” she gestured to her watch, “only ten minutes until the warning bell.”
Several other tables grew quieter for a moment before a half-dozen pens began moving more rapidly across their papers.
“I always try to finish early,” Itsuki said. “I don’t like… rushing.”
“Ahhh, I’m the same way,” Kairi nodded. “Well, you should have plenty of time to adjust for what I’m about to ask of you!”
It took a moment for that to register. Itsuki had begun to look back at her half-eaten bowl, stroking it with a finger and eager to return to the delectable meal. Her mind had begun to fill with plump pleasure and fatty indulgences before the words finally popped the chubby thought bubble that had begun to form over her head and she turned back to Kairi with a soft, “Hmm?”

“A substitute? You?!”
“That’s what I said!!”
“Well, I guess you’re qualified and such.”
“Ugggghhhhhh. No I’m nooooot…”
“Ehh? Is there something wrong with the class you’ll be teaching?”
Itsuki wanted to cry. Not much, just a little bit, but her feet were sore and her thighs were heavy and her ass was massive and… She leaned against the blank stairwell wall, pinching the cellphone between her shoulder and cheek while her hands awkwardly drooped to hold her own bulk.
God. She was really, really heavy…
“It’s gym class… Third period…” she said with the tone of a corner announcing time of death. “I’m on my way there now.”
“… Oh. Uhhh. Would you be offended if-”
“I would.”
“Ahh. Well… Hrm.”
A few heavy breaths passed before Itsuki grumbled, “Probably the least qualified person on the dang planet…”
“That’s what I was gonna say!” the phone popped.
“Yeah, but it’s me saying it! You can’t just insult your customers, Mario!!”
The big man’s boisterous laugh sounded sharper through the speaker, making Itsuki’s already red cheeks flush even brighter. “Who’s insulting?!” he loudly asked. “You says it yourself! You’re huge, May!”
“Yeah but only I get to say it…!”
“You and that boy of yours.”
The angry red swept from her cheeks, swiftly replaced by a startled and very embarrassed pink.
“So, why you, anyways? Why not someone else?”
Itsuki sighed, lifting her glasses to rub at her eyes. “I’ve third period as break, and then lunch directly after. They say I’m the only one who’s got the time.”
“Ahhh. I’m guessin’ this is why ya called now, then?” Mario asked. “We was just about to start working on your order.”
“Yeah... sorry. I’d have called sooner, but I had classes. And I kinda… forgot…”
“Eh? Forgot? You’ve been regular as clockwork. Every Tues and Thursday for the last-”
“I’m kinda stressing out here!!” Itsuki exclaimed, then jumped at the rebounding of her own husky echo. She continued, quieter, “It’s been a busy day, and I’m showing off a new teaching plan, so didn’t I think about it until I realized I was getting excited for lunch!! But, since I’m subbing for my free hour, that means I’ll only have forty minutes for lunch… That’s not enough time for pizza.”
Mario chuckled. “Personally speaking, Miss May, I think you’d manage.”
“I wouldn’t get to enjoy it!” Itsuki complained. She lifted herself from the wall and returned to the stairs, thankfully plodding downwards rather than struggling to trundle up. “I’d have to eat quickly and I hate forcing myself like that!”
“Alright, alright,” Mario relented. “You still want your order for five o’clock, tonight?”
“Umm… of course?”
“Just wanted to make sure.”
“Ahh. Well, yes, I plan to be home far before then.” She thought for a moment. “A-actually, can you just… maybe… add my lunch pizza onto that order?”
“Hmm? I ‘spose shouldn’t be a problem. That’d make… three pies, order of wings-”
“And the cheesy sticks!”
“And the Bosco sticks,” Mario chuckled, “naturally. Anything else?”
Itsuki felt herself frown. She wasn’t sure why until she realized that she’d reached the bottom of the stairs and had begun to glare at the door.
The skinny door.
The Athletics Department was on the school’s bottom level, and slightly downhill from the main campus. With two different stairwells, it was simple enough to get to, but Itsuki had noticed what everyone else seemed to have missed.
The doors to Athletics weren’t properly sized. Whether through ill-attention, ignorance, or a sub-contractor’s private joke, these doors were smaller than any other door on the campus, and were a big part of why Itsuki loathed coming this way for anything short of an assembly.
Glowering at the door, Itsuki felt herself sigh, looking down at her figure and her audacious width. She plucked at the golden button on her custom-tailored jacket before saying into the phone, “Maybe a couple of those cannoli desserts? It feels like it’s going to be a long day.”
“Sure, how many’s a couple?”
“Five.”
“I knew that,” the man again chuffed. “Dunno why I asked.”
Itsuki moved forward. She clicked the armbar and the metal door popped inwards, but she needed to turn sideways to have even a chance. She hated sucking in her belly, but the unpleasant sensation on her gut and her backside was far better than simultaneously banging both of her hips into the threshold and waddling off with another fat bruise, so she managed and sighed with relief when her tummy came free.
“Alright Miss, we’ll see ya then. And good luck on your gym duties. Don’t push ‘em too hard.”
For the first time since her second breakfast, Itsuki felt herself begin a slight smile. “Them?” she chuffed, “I’m worried about me!”
The older man returned the laughter as she hung up the phone, shaking her head. At least she felt a little bit better. It was nice to actually talk to someone, even if that someone was just Mario. She considered calling Tsukuyo, but she figured he’d tease her about it and he’d either make her more embarrassed or…
Well…
Neither of those would be good right now! The last thing she needed was to imagine her boyfriend’s strong, gripping hands, holding her tighter than any doorway. His fingers would make divots in her buttery hips, reaching around her sides and finding their way to her massive…
“Miss Nakano?”
“Yah!”
Itsuki hopped, popping up several inches and coming down with enough force that she could feel the strain of the buttons on her suit-jacket. They held, custom-made clothing required custom-support, and she turned to see a small girl at a small window set into the wall.
Upon closer inspection, the window wasn’t really a window at all. It was a door, the top part having been opened to reveal a little office. Basketballs, soccer balls, a hockey net, and all sorts of equipment were stacked in barely sorted piles behind the lithe figure who leaned on the threshold.
“Miss Nakano?” the girl repeated. “You areMiss Nakano, right?”
“Oh. Yes.”
“I thought so,” she replied. The girl was tiny, almost diminutive. She could hardly be older than a teenager, and was made even younger by the noisy snapping of her jaw working over a large piece of gum. Itsuki had a brief flash of a skinny frame wearing a sporty tee when the girl stepped back before leaning down behind the doorframe. “Mrs. Hoshiakari said you’d be coming down. Said I’d be able to recognize you.”
“Did she?”
“Mhmm!” the girl grunted, coming back up with a rather heavy looking cardboard box that was bigger than her entire torso. “Oof,” she complained, placing it upon the open doorframe, then looking back up to Itsuki and miming a touch to her own bangs. “Your star-clips. Pretty recognizable.”
“O-oh…”
“They look cute! Frames your hair nice. Makes you look young.”
“I-I’m only… twenty-five…”
The young girl blinked at her, silently but loudly chewing her gum, then nodded. “Anyways,” she gestured to the box. “Here. Gym clothes.”
“I need to change?”
A well-manicured eyebrow lifted into a speculative look. “… Yeah? It’s P.E. You’re gonna be going back to classes after, aren’t you? Trust me, you do not want to wear sweaty stockings all day.”
“U-umm…” Itsuki looked at the box. “W-well, I wasn’t under the… impression, that I’d be the one… working out. I’m just supposed to assist, while Coach Muda is at the dentist.”
A long breath passed where she was more than aware of the girl’s unhidden eyes looking her up and down. “Uhhh… uh-huh… Well, I’m not exactly sure how long it’s been since you had P.E. but coaches normally teach the students.”
It had been months since Itsuki had been in this part of the building. She couldn’t remember the last time she was actually inside of the gymnasium. She pictured herself sitting at a weight bench or, worse yet, on a treadmill…
She must have looked worried because the girl hurriedly added, “You don’t have to, like, play basketball or anything. Just help them with their warmups. Kinda just the small stuff, you know?”
“Oh… Eheh, sorry. Guess I’m just a bit nervous,” she brushed a long lock of hair behind her shoulder. “Kinda a… big girl… you know?”
She’d meant it to be funny.
Neither of them laughed.
The girl just continued to look at her before slowly blowing a bubble with her gum.
“Umm…” Itsuki blustered. “S-so… you think I’ll need to change for… small stuff?”
Another stretched moment, another loud bubble. Itsuki joined the girl when she looked down this time. Though she was unable to see past her own immensity, the redhead was sure that the girl was looking at her black stockings. Specifically, the areas where the material had become so stretched that it appeared flabby and white.
“Anyway,” the girl shrugged, “you should probably hurry up. The students are already in the locker rooms getting changed, and there’s only a few minutes until the warning bell-”
*Ding, dooong!*
“… Hoogh. Yeah.” Her hand tapped the box. “Best hurry.” She then lifted herself on her tiptoes, leaning over the door to point down the corridor. “End of the hall, last door on the right. The staff lockers. Coach Kanashimi is probably already out on the floor, but they won’t start till you’re both out there. If you need to shower afterwards, there’s some soap and shampoo in the box, okay?”
Itsuki blanched. “O-okay,” she said, feeling as if it were anything but. A few other questions teetered about her mind, but the girl was pushing the box into her grasp and gesturing, so Itsuki began to make her way to the locker room while a silent but desperate prayer filtered through her mind.
‘Please, please, please, please let the pants fit…’

The box didn’t have a pair of pants.
The clothes it did have fit Itsuki like lingerie.
She had a swimsuit that covered more than these shorts, pulled high on her waist with her belly tucked in. An elastic waistband ensured that they fit, but the light fabric left most of Itsuki’s marshmallow legs exposed to the air.
Normally, the redhead could at least tryto conceal her size. She couldn’t succeed of course, she was six-hundred pounds, but she could try!!
Being overweight had requirements! Tight leggings, a tailor-made shirt that offered support to her waist, a very large skirt that might conceal how her butt-shelf reached up to her love handles. There were many little tricks that might conceal a few dozen pounds. You wore dresses, you wore stockings. If you’re past four-hundred pounds, almost every outfit should involve a darn skirt!
Unless you liked tight jeans, like a weirdo. Or if you wanted to exercise, like a maniac.
Wearing baby-blue nylon shorts, a bright-colored tee, and a pair of white thigh-highs that barely reached to her knees, Itsuki felt like she’d wiggled her way into a latex bodysuit.
Normally, she adored the school mascot, a chibified dolphin which sat upon a stylized pocket of the students’ uniforms. Its smiling face was the perfect highlight to the bright blue-and-white school colors and made the smiling faces of her second graders look heart-wrenchingly adorable.
Itsuki was not smiling.
The monstrosity which was stretched between her breasts was not cute.
Its wink was not sweet, its colors were not flattering. From between the stretched text of ‘Hachinomori Elementary’ and ‘Physical Ed. Coach,’ the dolphin laughed at Itsuki Nakano, seemingly delighted with how it highlighted her immensity.
Worst of all, the outfit would have been absolutely perfect, had it only been for her and her blasted, wonderful, belly-pinching, hip-clutching, fat-loving Tsukuyo. Blushing at herself in the mirror, she could perfectly picture him standing behind her, head on her shoulder and breath on her neck. They’d been very playful last weekend, and salacious memories began to give the girl goosebumps as she felt his hands on her stomach and his grip on her chest.
Yet only reality held onto her now, a mix of warm embarrassment and chilling fear. She was going to wobble out of the locker room and try teaching gym to a class of fifty-something students…
She really hoped that she didn’t end up scaring some poor kid.
“You’re gonna give ‘em nightmares…” she said accusingly, holding a hand over the swell of her gut as she sighed. Maybe they’d be able to suppress the upcoming tragedy. After all, it hadn’t even happened, and Itsuki was already trying to forget.
A speaker on the wall emitted another sharp tone. It was a separate sound from the warning and the starting bells, likely to prompt any slacking students to hurry with their changing and to get their butts out to the floor.
Which meant Itsuki was late. And she still didn’t even have her shoes on.
She wished the voice that had noticed how her reflection was wider than the mirror didn’t sound so darned proud…
The redhead moved, trundling back to the bench in the locker-bay near the slot where she’d stored her teaching outfit and her flats. As she grew nearer, she found herself becoming increasingly annoyed. Not at the tiny bench that she was already lamenting the need to sit upon, nor the slim locker which caused her to bunch up her top and her jacket just to get the door closed.
Itsuki glowered down at the last item of the offered cardboard box, a pair of pink-white sneakers with thick red laces and a cheery chubby cherry marking the outside.
When the shoes did not spontaneously combust, Itsuki resigned herself, and the bench, to their respective fate, and turned to fall upon it with a thunderous *POMF!*
It did not collapse, thankfully, though the beefy woman was keenly aware that she alone put the wood past capacity. She quickly set to work by lifting the shoes and tossing them in front of her and onto the floor.
Out of every inconvenience, sneakers were the worst thing about an XXXXXL life… and yet, somehow, beyond all reasoning, they fit. Itsuki’s meaty tootsies slipped into the shoes, sliding in as easily as cream filling the shell of a doughnut. Her padded arch lifted the tongue, and her had heel came down clean.
Weird…
Itsuki could hardly believe it. She felt herself frown, adjusting her glasses before gripping the bench and leaning backwards so that she could actually see past her mountains of baby-blue-clad blubber.
A light kick. A heavy swoosh of thigh upon thigh. A cry of pain from the wood of the bench.
Without question, they fit.
“Well!!” she said to herself, finally feeling a sense of relief. “Maybe this won’t be so bad after all…”
Itsuki found herself letting out tension as a slight hum, sitting forwards and lifting her hammy arms to tie back her hair. Soft fingers worked quickly to form long, heavy braids. The repetitive motion, along with the familiar tune she hummed, eased her away from her early self-conscious doubt.
“Okay, May,” she nodded once she finished. “You’re all set. No more futzing! You’ve just go out there, and teach gym.” She ignored the groan from her knees, once more carrying her own burdensome load, wobbling away from the lockers and once more to the mirror to give herself an encouraging smile and flashed her reflection with a wink and a porky peace sign. “It’s gonna be a piece of cake!”
*Aaarrruuuuggghhh*
“Ooo… cake…”
