If the girl wasn’t right in front of his face, he might not even believe she existed. Everything seemed so slow in the light of the broken tunnel, all of her movements so fittingly sluggish and giving Cloud a moment to really look at her.
Her hair wasn’t long, it was extensive. A bright wavy brown, braided into an exceptional ponytail that hugged the curve of her backside.
Her skin wasn’t pale, it was porcelain. The color of an unseen moon reflecting off of the sweat that coated her exposed flesh, where it wasn’t pink with exertion.
The girl wasn’t fat. She was...
“Hooohhh,” Aerith plodded, slowly lifting herself up to the final rung of the ladder. Her arms were fully extended, hardly able to make room for the body she hefted as she reached the top. “This... hero, stuff.” Another break, another huff, and her pink tint seemed to grow to an even more appropriate porcine sheen. “I don’t think... I’m cut out for it.”
“You’re not,” Cloud folded his arms across his chest. “You should go back.”
Something about her... some unquantifiable attribute, made Aerith glow. It wasn’t the dribbles of exertion that stained her clothes, nor the panting heat that filled her rosy fat cheeks.
He just couldn’t look away.
“I told you...” Aerith stepped forward, the weight on her legs quivering in sync with her exposed belly. “I said I’d help... you get home…”
Cloud frowned. He was doing that a lot lately... but then, did a SOLDIER even know how to smile?
He couldn’t remember if his training had covered that.
“B-besides…” Aerith’s hands pressed down on her hips, still trying to catch her breath. “You’ve had me… waddling around… all darn day… Hoof!” An exceptional breath made her belly extend into a smooth round sphere of soft hanging fat, before her hands became fists and she stood to her full height, still a head shorter than Cloud. “I think I’ve earned some good will, Mister!”
“You don’t even fit into your own clothes,” he gestured to Aerith’s gut. “How can you help?”
Her outfit was Midgar’s chubbiest red jacket over what looked like a what might have once been a dress. Pink, kind of pretty, it had numerous buttons that ran down the front. Almost every single spot was undone on the clinging fabric. Only one clasp, right beneath the brunette’s overweight chest, was pinched closed, and even that had to utilize a very noticeable rubber band.
A small length of ribbon that was tied into a bow hung loosely beneath the band, as if she’d tried to cover the proof that she’d outgrown even this wide set of clothing, but it’d slowly come undone as the day passed over her smooth belly and chubby shoulders. Her bra was also pushing the limit, frilly black mixed with pink and doing nothing to hold up her chest. It was too heavy. She was too heavy.
The only clothing that came even close to appropriate was the red bow she used to tie her hair back.
Rather than be embarrassed, or even indignant, Cloud’s jibe seemed to roll right over Aerith. She was as she’d been when he’d woken up in the church. Soft, smiling, and not even close to uncomfortable about her heavy exposure.
That is, until her belly warbled.
The girl’s stomach was nearly as loud as her panting breath, a noise she couldn’t smother beneath her quickly crossed hands.
“Nobody makes anything in my size...” she said, looking off towards Cloud’s side, an extra hint of color spreading through her chubby cheeks. “I’m a flower girl, not a tailor.”
“You’re not a dietician either,” Cloud shook his head.
He’d meant to insult her. Not out of maliciousness, but rather true concern. This pathway wasn’t safe. His goal wasn’t safe. Cloud wasn’t safe. But instead, Aerith lifted herself up on her tiptoes and playfully winked. “You’d be surprised,” she said. “I give excellent diet advice.”
A blonde eyebrow lifted. “Yeah?”
Nodding, Aerith playfully squeezed her stomach and giggled, “Let them eat cake!”
Cloud rolled his eyes.
It must have been funny, because Aerith’s grin opened into a chuckle. Not a giggle, like Tifa sometimes did. It was lower, heavier, as if the very act was straining what breath she could gather. No doubt tied directly to the softness on her neck, of her body, of her entire lifestyle. A woman as taken by her obesity as she seemed to be with her garden of flowers.
He really could not look away from her.
“I don’t see why my size matters, anyways!” she carried on, a hand pushing the wet bangs back from her wetter forehead before tapping it twice. “It’s not as if you have many options, and I’ve got all the tunnels mapped out up here!”
Aerith passed him, her body a testament to overindulgence. Of weight, of… of…
Cloud’s mind slowly stopped working as her massive backside wobbled back and forth, the outline of her panties showing straight through her dress. Something stirred inside of him, a primal urge he couldn’t begin to understand. He found his feet following along, seeing her arms pinched by the bicep-claps of her jacket, the shifting of weight as her belly constantly was slapped by waddling thighs, and her immense backside seemed almost so fat as to fill the entirety of the tunnel.
They passed between a pair of derelict cars, with her turning slightly to the side as if to ensure she’d fit through the gap. Another dribble of sweat dropped off her belly as she did so, though the girl didn’t seem too bothered now that they were just walking.
She was saying something about Wall Market.
He barely heard her.
A girl like Aerith shouldn’t exist.
She was too… too…
She was too kind.
How could a girl so fat have so much energy? Everything they’d done today, everything she had volunteered to still help with. Flower picking for the Leaf House. Taking care of those kids near the quarry. The man in the robes…
Cloud pushed that from his mind. It didn’t matter. What mattered was right here, right now.
And she was still here.
The fat flower girl, who lived in the slums.
She really should be home. Resting in bed. Sleeping, or… eating… or…Hell, maybe both? She had to get to that size somehow, and he’d only seen her eat maybe twice today. When they’d stopped by her house for the flower baskets, and the food truck in the Sector 5 Shantytown.
Still watching her wobble, he pictured that moment, when he finally understood her glances towards the truck each time were more than cursory. He had felt like he’d taken a silent hint when he caught the look before approaching the truck.
Felt like an idiot after asking the vendor if he sold battle supplies.
He’d come away with a pair of sandwiches, roasted beef that had been dipped in some juice and served with sweet peppers, and with a side of fried potato wedges for each. Aerith had already found a nearby high-top, which looked more like it belonged in a bar than in the open area next to an immobile food truck.
They sat together, and the food was good, but Aerith had made it seem otherworldly. She burbled while she ate, humming and mumbling noises of foodie delight as her plump feet kicked in the breeze from her spot on the chair.
It was cute.
What the hell was he doing here?
“You don’t talk to too many girls, do you?”
Cloud blinked. He looked up from Aerith’s flabby hips to see the brunette’s green eyes. They sparkled in the same way she seemed to glimmer, as if she were completely in control even while looking like a walking creampuff.
He opened his mouth, for some reason feeling the need to say he hadn’t been staring, but closed it, because they both obviously knew that he had. Again, she chuckled, slowing her pace to walk side by side.
“You know,” she began, lifting her hands to tug on her open jacket, “these clothes used to fit me. I wasn’t always so big.”
It took a few moments for him to realize she expected a reply. Tragically, all that came to mind was, “I’ve trouble believing that.”
This time, the chuckle had lifted out from her belly, hopping up and down before the girl delivered a delighted snort of laughter. “You’re so bold, Cloud! What I’m saying is, it took a lot of time. A lot of food. And, don’t tell my mom, but maybe just one or two midnight snacks.”
“You sound like a teenager,” her replied.
A startling bump came from his left, nearly throwing the SOLDIER completely off-balance as Aerith bopped him with her fatty hip. “So do you!” she stuck out her tongue, winking.
Cloud let out a soft breath, feeling his mouth tugging up at the corner.
The pair continued onward for a bit, stepping over the cracks in the long-deserted tunnel. There was a downward slope, which she took much slower than he, but he waited for her at the bottom and offered his hand to hop off the side.
Aerith gave him an appreciative grin and, when he made to let go of her hand, did not let go of his.
She wasn’t squeezing him, and he certainly could have pulled away if he wanted to.
If he wanted to…
“Anyways, my point is…” she paused, glancing back to her side as if to make sure he was still there. “Sometimes, it takes a lot of time to… grow, you know? Like, for instance… meeting new people.”
She’d looked away from him, but her blush was even more red than she’d been after climbing the ladder. She always looked warm, her weight had ensured that, but right now, Aerith seemed to be burning.
“It can take a lot of time, a lot of effort, for things to… grow.”
A beat passed before Cloud responded, “And a lot of food?”
Aerith’s eyes went wide. She opened her mouth, closed it, opened it again, and as if she’d not been aware she’d even been walking through such a destroyed tunnel, she kicked a slab of concrete and began to topple forward with an alarmed shout.
Cloud moved faster than he thought, twisting himself around Aerith’s arm and catching her by the waist. She pressed into him, fatness pressing against fitness. Her breasts overlapped his arm, his arm was wrapped around her stomach, her arms lifted up to his shoulders.
She was so soft. Softer than she looked, with her dress undone and her jacket open. Bright pink cheeks, brighter green eyes, a smooth double chin and a big fat smile.
“M-maybe… a bit of it… yeah,” she breathed before timidly licking her lips.
Aerith’s body was fascinating, but her eyes were captivating. In their bright green light, Cloud could see so much more than he thought. Like looking into the energy of life itself.
It was Aerith who pulled away. As if with a great act of will, she brought her feet under her backing out of his grasp. “I knew you’d make a good bodyguard,” she grinned, then twisted on her hips. “Even if there’s quite a lot of body to guard.”
Cloud let out a breath, looking away from the cute fat girl with her irresistible smile, and shook his head as he forced himself not to laugh.
Aerith moved much quicker than he’d expect of a girl her size. One moment he was standing, the next she had her arm through his, guiding him down the tunnel. “Come on,” she said. “There’s somewhere I want to take you.”
Cloud kept up, moving alongside her and letting her hold his arm.
They reached another slope, this one heading back upwards. He hopped up first, careful of the exposed rebar and rock, and Aerith needed to rely on his anchor to slowly lift herself up, fat leg hardly able to clear the top.
Going up was much, much slower than going down had been. Closer to her, he was more aware than ever of the slight tremors in her flesh, the deepening breath from her lungs and the fresh trails of sweat.
“Gosh… I’m gonna… need another bath…” she muttered as they reached the top, then poked Cloud in the ribs. “Making me sneak out…”
“I didn’t ask you too,” Cloud said.
Aerith tilted her head in partial agreement. “True. But you’d have probably gotten lost. And this way,” she continued, wobbling onward, “I can find out where you live. So you’ll have no reason not to come visit.”
“Hmmm…” the SOLDIER said nothing.
Was she planning to come all the way back to the hotel with him? It was late… and there was no way he could send her back by herself. He had a shower she could use, but what about a bed?
She’d use his, obviously. It wouldn’t be the first time he’d slept in a chair or on the floor.
But it was a rather small bed… maybe it wouldn’t fit the big girl. But it was a bed! How big could she be?
“Whatcha thinking about?”
“Hmm?” he looked over.
Aerith was blinking at him, her lips puckered with curiosity. “Was that too forward?” she asked. “I don’t want to stalk you. Not yet,” she again bumped him with her thigh before breaking into her husky chuckle.
“Oh,” Cloud shook his head. “Uhh, no. Thinking about… dinner.”
“Mhmmm…” Aerith leaned towards her side, closing her eyes. After a moment, her stomach rumbled, almost as if she’d caused it just by the mere thought of more food. “What’re you planning?”
“Well… I don’t have much,” he shrugged, “but I have a friend. She owns a bar, could probably make us some burgers. If they’re still open. I don’t know what time it is.”
“Burgers sound lovely. Does she serve them with barbeque sauce?” she asked, eyes still shut as she imagined her plate.
“I don’t know,” Cloud shrugged. “Never had them before.”
“Well… tonight might be full of firsts, then!” Aerith said, nodding to herself and her grin spreading wider.
Cloud looked at her smile. The soft, absolute control of it, as if she were exactly where she wanted to be, exactly how she wanted to be there. Dirty, sweaty, practically exposed, and fatter than sin. Hanging off of Cloud as she waddled through the tunnel.
He wondered what time they’d finally get back. It’d be late, and one thing he could clearly remember from basic was military doctrine strictly forbidding meals after sundown.
For some reason, he didn’t think Aerith followed that particular obligation.

“Maybe we should turn back…” Cloud trailed off.
“A-are… you… kidding?” Aerith moaned.
She had both her hands on her knees, an impressive fold formed in her belly. Her dress was so thoroughly soaked that he could see the paleness of her skin through the outline, her breasts looked about to pop out of their bra, but worst was her belly, blowing up and out, rolling over her thighs while her knees quavered.
Next to her, lying on the ground, a bandit let out a slow, pained groan.
Aerith’s staff appeared as if out of nowhere, rapidly extending to the size of her body before she brought it down on the back of the thief’s head.
“W-we’re almost… halfway there. More than. Gotta be,” she went on, treating the knocked-out bandit as simply as a crushed roach.
Cloud folded his arms. “I can’t carry you,” he said. “If we need to head back…”
Aerith shook her head, wet brown locks clinging to her sweat-soaked body. “W-we’re… Oogh, good. Just gotta Ohhhbuh, catch my… my breath. Not as easy… as I remember.”
“Do you remember this place being infested by thieves?” he asked.
Aerith scowled. She put her staff against the ground, using it for support to lift herself back up, releasing the pinch of her tummy-fold. “I live… in the slums. There are thieves everywhere. They’re normally-”
The brunette was interrupted by the sudden detonation of a still sparking sweeper prototype. Cloud took another step away from the condensed blast, willfully placing himself between it and Aerith.
Six bandits lay on the ground around them, along with the destroyed parts of three sweepers. Aerith somehow managed to continue to prove herself exceptionally useful with the materia she had inserted into her staff, but she was not exactly fast on her feet.
“They used to be so much more polite,” she finished, looking back towards the bandit whom she’d just given a severe concussion. “I think I made him a bouquet, once.”
Cloud shrugged, securing his sword to the magnetic plate strapped to his back. “Come on. We’ll keep moving, then. Do you need a potion?”
Aerith clicked an unseen button and, as quickly as it had appeared, her staff vanished into the palm of her hand. She wobbled forward, gripping onto Cloud’s arm once more, though this time it felt more out of necessity as opposed to want.
Cloud remembered someone telling him that his buster sword weighed seventy-seven pounds. He wondered how many Aeriths that might be, considering the immensity of weight that sagged down on his arm.
Could it be four? Or maybe five? Aerith was short, maybe five-foot-four, but exceptionally wide. She could be four-hundred pounds and he wouldn’t be surprised.
He led them back onto the path they’d been walking before they’d been ambushed. Cloud was definitely not going to let her walk back by herself through this mess, with a bunch of masked weirdos to ogle her ill-fitting clothing. He was tempted to try and provide something for her himself once they got to his spot, though he knew none of his clothes would fit.
And, while he could depend on Tifa for anything, not even her chest could rival Aerith’s pure fat.
“Almost… there,” she mumbled again. “Stupid arms. Stupid… bandits.”
“Don’t forget the terpsicolts,” Cloud hefted her arm, putting her around his shoulder and putting his around her waist. He had to crouch slightly, his arm sinking into the hills of backfat and laying atop her tremendous buttshelf.
“Stupid terpsicolts,” she said, though there was less heat in her voice now.
Cloud couldn’t be sure how much longer they could keep this up. They’d been pushing through this single tunnel for almost two hours, getting involved in multiple fights while traversing the aged destruction. They even had to navigate by using forgone cleanup equipment and, much to Aerith’s chubby regret, more ladders.
He hadn’t been aware of just how hot the girl was. Her skin radiated heat, each inch emitting a temperate warmth. Her body sheened and glistened as if she’d just taken a shower, a shower which she now desperately needed. If she’d been sweaty before, she was soaked now, her dress clinging awkwardly to her flabby wet thighs and the ribbon all but undone on her wobbly stomach.
Cloud hadn’t even used his shower yet. He hoped it was big enough.
It probably wasn’t.
“You don’t have… any powder at your house… do you?” Aerith wheezed.
Cloud glanced to her, seeing a droplet of sweat dribble off her nose, down her lips, and cresting upon her fatty chin. “Why?” he asked, watching as the droplet fell down her chest, curving slowly until it impacted into her soggy bra.
Aerith suddenly shifted, sausage-shaped fingers reaching down to lift her tummy, exposing a flash of thoroughly soaked pink underwear and sending a jolt of lightning to fry Cloud’s mind.
“C-chub rub,” Aerith explained, needing to hold up her gut to poke at an angry red splotch that had developed just beneath the plump swell in her panties. “I’ve been… walking too much… today. Didn’t have time earlier.”
“Oh… No.” Cloud turned forward, the sight of the fat spilling over her panties, the outline of what lay just underneath, burned into his sight. He tried to keep moving forward, but his mind was malfunctioning, electric sparks sending unwanted impulses into his brain. Imagining the body beneath all the clothing.
Again she shifted, dropping her gut to slap loudly against her thighs. Juicy, fat, round, Aerith seemed barely able to take the next step.
But she kept moving forward.
A soft orange glow showed the tunnel narrowing up ahead, with a barricade stretching across its length. No doubt, this was some sort of checkpoint that the bandits had erected to harass any travelers.
Cloud looked it over, wondering if he’d have to boost Aerith up to reach over the top, but then noticed a small dark section that had been cut out. “Come on,” he said, raising her forward. “Looks like it cuts through here.”
Aerith said nothing. She was having a hard enough time just breathing, seemingly past the point of holding onto air. They moved slowly, with him twisting so that she could go through the hole first, before letting her go and instantly regretting it.
For a moment, Aerith looked as if she might simply crouch through the small space, but the girl’s knees buckled, and she fell to her arms and knees with an awkward *PLAP!*
“Hey,” he started, reaching forward, but the tremendous butt wobbled in front of him, swaying slowly from side to side, entirely revealed through her wet clothing. Aerith crawled into the hole, slowly pushing onward, face hidden by her hair and body concealed by her draping clothing.
Cloud paused, watching the massive quivering, like gelatin beneath the effect of an earthquake. The earlier fascination returned, wondering how a girl could possibly be as big as she was, and noticed the issue only a moment after it was too late.
She’d made it up to her waist, crawling through the hole before she got stuck. It wasn’t a quick moment, rather a slow, waddling assurity as her widest part entered the small frame.
A sudden pinch, a labored grunt, a long pause, and very slowly the girl’s plump buttocks began to wiggle. “Noooooo…” Cloud heard her cry weakly from the other side of the barricade.
Cloud let out a long, heavy sigh, rubbing at his eyes. He watched her back up an inch, then push forward. Back up an inch, then push forward, making minimal progress before Aerith’s legs finally seemed to give out, and the plump peach dropped fully to the tunnel’s floor.
He could see the rest of her now, laying awkwardly splayed, her chubby chin bobbing as she sucked in air and her back lifting and falling while she inflated her chest.
“You might be able to…” he began, before being silenced by a porky glare.
“Just… gimmie a second…” Aerith sputtered. “Catch my… catch my breath.”
Cloud felt the urge to check a watch that he didn’t have.
He looked up above her, seeing another spot on the barricade. A gap where a sentry might stand to watch out for incoming travelers. He then moved closer behind her, checking that the barricade wouldn’t collapse.
“G-getting… a better… view, this time?” she ungainly puffed.
He ignored her, mounting the small platform to her right and, very lightly, hopping over the top.
He landed softly next to the fatty flower, now able to see her immense pudgy pout as she panted, “Showoff…”
“Let me help you,” he offered his hand.
Aerith released a pathetic whine before slowly lifting herself backwards, back onto her knees and filling the frame of the hole. She didn’t take his hand.
The frontal view was much, much, much less flattering than the already scandalous view from behind, with her belly sagged all the way to the floor. The girl’s hanging breasts lightly clapping against the fatness as she bobbed back and forth, preparing herself for another attempt. Huffing, puffing, Aerith then held her breath, pushing herself forward.
It looked to be to little effect, until Aerith’s eyes became almost as wide as her waist. She blinked at the ground, then up towards Cloud, and he saw what little muscle must be in her arm shift as she tried to move backwards.
She couldn’t even do that.
Aerith was completely wedged.
She almost collapsed, but Cloud had lowered himself right in front of her. He sat on the ground, watching as her expression turned from distressed to a porcine confusion, with a gruff roll of her eyes Aerith lowered herself down and extended her arms.
“Just… be gentle…” she muttered, facing the ground. “I don’t wanna rip my dress…”
“I think that’s the least of your problems.”
“Shut up…”
Cloud sighed. He took her hand, but hesitated. They were so much bigger than his, the fat on her fingers and the flab on her wrist. Was every aspect of this girl so big? What about her ankles? Did she have fat piggy toes?
He squeezed her hands gently, making Aerith look up into his face. “Just hold on,” he said.
Aerith frowned, chin tucking into her chest, but she kept her eyes on him as she nodded, her fingers closing on his wrists.
Cloud pulled.
Easily five times the weight of his buster sword… maybe even more.
The young man planted his feet, hands closing tightly around her wrists. It wasn’t the most exertion he’d ever put out, he didn’t want to hurt her, but he needed to use more of his weight, lowering himself towards the ground while still keeping his eyes upon Aerith’s.
She’d shifted, showing clear discomfort and tucking into her chest, emitting a tightening *Hrrrmmmmmmm* of increasing distress. There was still no movement, not even a sign of give, until the entire barricade shuttered.
Aerith’s hum reached a crescendo as, with an audible *BOOF!* her hips were suddenly free, and the girl launched forward with a much, much louder “AIE!!!”
Cloud had been pulling harder than he expected, losing his balance as Aerith raced towards him, knocking her head into his chest and the young SOLDIER flat on his ass.
When he opened his eyes, his arms were locked above his head, his legs encompassed between Aerith’s thighs, his waist smothered by her overweight belly. She was kneeling over him, the sweat on her face made even brighter by the intensity of her blush, only a few inches away.
She looked almost nude. Chest bobbing up and down, the red of her jacket lifting and falling as he focused on her chubby cheeks and stunning eyes.
“S-sorry,” Aerith muttered, but she didn’t lift back, nor release Cloud’s arms.
“It’s okay,” he replied. “Are… you okay?”
Aerith chuckled. He saw the weight in her throat bob, felt her belly bounce against his groin. “Mostly,” she grinned sheepishly. “Only my decency…”
“You haven’t seemed too worried about that until now.”
Aerith’s blush faded, looking confused, before it returned twice as strong. “I guess I haven’t… have I?” she sighed, shaking her head.
When she pulled back, a part of Cloud didn’t want her to. He wanted to keep looking at her face. But she released him, settling back on her knees, which made her belly spill down to his chest.
Cloud pictured the sight of her chub rub, the image of her underwear, and felt himself stir.
But Aerith was already lifting off of him. Her large thighs passing over his waist before she toppled onto the ground next to him, with their arms still touching but each now just breathing.
“It’s been five years since I came this way,” Aerith said. “I was… seventeen, back then. Didn’t know how small things could get.”
Cloud huffed out his own laugh. He tried to remember where he was five years ago.
It made his head hurt.
Then, he felt Aerith shift, and something in her eyes made the pain fade.
“I used to come this way a lot,” Aerith continued. “There’s a spot I want to show you. It’s… kinda goofy, now that I think about it.”
“What is it?” he asked.
Aerith released a low breath before, with a long awkward shuffle, tried to sit up. It took Cloud pushing her back for her to complete the motion, but she looked down and grinned. “Let’s get going,” she said. “We’re a lot closer than I’d thought.”
