Factory AU#2.1: Emi and the Chocolate Mines

To keep things as simple as alternate timelines can get, and to allow for other Alternate Universe stories, these will be labeled Factory AU#2.X, with X representing the chapter number.
Factory AU#2 stars Emi Ibarazaki and starts directly at chapter 9 of the series! Rather than her hunger forcing her reaching hand, Emi manages to temper her chocoholic desire and races ahead, sprinting forth to the Chocolate Mines!
The Chocolate Mines are place full of wonder. Pure chocolate rock mixed with hard candy crystals, a certain glow flows out of this illustrious setting. But the chocoholic doesn't care about how the place looks, only how lovely it tastes and how much she can eat. Emi embarks on a personal journey to claim what is hers, though she quickly discovers she's not the only one girl down here with an enhanced appetite...

The smell tightened its vice on her like a snake. She could feel it slithering around her fluffed up thighs, skating around her rounded waist, and pulling up between her perky breasts before snapping into her nose and flooding, not into her lungs, but her brain.
Emi Ibarazaki could feel the pull on her mind, could feel the quiver of her belly. She didn’t remember when her last bar was. It felt like ages ago, and she was so hungry. It’d been so long since she’d felt the cream melting away in her mouth. The break of a bar against her teeth, the sweet sensation that filled her from her head to her toes as the deliciousness traveled down into her tummy.
She needed more, and there was more to be had! All around her was chocolate. Melted chocolates, barred chocolates, wrapped chocolates. It could be all hers. If she would just reach out and tak-
Emi shuddered, the mental battle forcing her not to notice just how much movement the motion caused. Every muscle inside her body ached as her will pushed her mind to remember. S
he’d come into the factory wearing her casual clothes. Something had happened. She was wearing a dress now, could feel it swoosh on her skin. Fur on her arms, too.
A jacket? Why was she wearing a jacket?
She was warm.
It was warm.
So gooey and soft that it could melt in her mouth and she could...
Emi stumbled and coughed, gripping at the handrails. Her tummy hurt. Why did it hurt? Her finger gripped the railing so tightly that she could feel the walkway shuddering beneath her prosthetic legs. But she didn’t care what she felt, what she smelt, even the empty sense of what she tasted.
All that mattered in this moment was the sight she had seen. Brown, hard, gooey chocolate. Pound after pound of the substance forming a cavern. A quarry.
The Chocolate Mines.
Through the small gaps in the grating, she could see the behemoth beneath her. Shredded bricks of chocolate, melted pools of chocolate, wrapped bars of chocolate. It was so close, but there was so much more. If she could just-
Emi let out a groan that was barely audible over the gurgling of her belly. It writhed beneath her dress, filled with greed and glutenous desire. She wanted more.
She needed more!
So, Emi did what she did best.
She ran.
Shouting followed her, but it couldn’t keep up with Emi’s fast feet. She heard Hisao say something, but it didn’t matter. He wanted to keep her away from the prize. They all wanted to keep her from what was rightful hers!
Emi was dully aware that her legs felt weird, that something was wrong, but she couldn’t stop moving. Over the walkway, past the machine, out of the wrapping room. She needed to keep pushing forward, or she’d be caught up in ch… ch… ch…
“Chocolate,” Emi whispered. She felt her body come to a quivering halt, her bright emerald eyes sparkling as they beheld the spectacle ahead.
The mouth of the cave was lit by glowing strips of pink and green lights, with dozens of rainbow-colored crystals illuminating area. The lights hung from the ceiling and from the walls, traveling down the tunnel above a set of tracks. Emi could see a steel minecart at the entrance which, as it was inedible metal, was no use to Emi.
She shoved the cart out of her way, sending the cart down into the mines, but not before instinct snapped an oddly colored pickaxe free from the carrier.
Emi could use this. She could smash it into the wall, peeling free more… more…
The young woman then noticed three other picks that leaned against the wall on the exterior of the Chocolate Mines perched beneath three helmets. Each safety-piece sported a headlamp, though all were currently dull. Her dancing nose had her fixed on the blade of the pick, then snapping the tool in her grasp.
The shaft of the pick was hard candy. Really hard candy, extremely dense beneath her tight grip, but the blade was… it was…
“Chocolate…” Emi whispered, a dribble of drool forming at the corner of her lips. It spilled down her chin while her quavering hand lifted to the dark chocolate point. Just touching the confection sent another shiver through her body. She tried to pinch the point off, but it didn’t respond. Instead, as slowly as a queen who was offered a toast, she lifted the pick to her wanting mouth.
Her teeth sliced through like a knife through warm, gooey, delectable butter. The instant that it touched her tongue, the part of Emi that was recognizing her body, the voice in her mind that was whispering warnings, purred into silent satisfaction as her body rumbled, and her hunger grew.
Her tongue wrapped around the piece’s edges, twisting it round and round in a circle. Dips began to give way, melting until she had a mouthful of chocolate syrup filling her cheeks and soaking her tongue, spreading joy through every taste bud. She swallowed the sticky-warm mess down her throat, a river of sugar and empty calories.
Emi’s body and mind danced in perfect harmony, joy as true as it was heavy spreading from the mountain that had formed in her tummy.
She twisted the axe, biting down on the other end. She was faster now, growing more and more voracious with every snap, every swallow.
Bite after bite, Emi devoured the head of the axe. She tossed the useless hard candy handle to the ground and snatched the next one off of the wall. She had to have it, had to eat it, to feel it settle inside of her belly.
The chocolate was having an astounding effect. Reason should have limited her appetite, the laws of nature should have restricted her hunger, but still, somehow, she had room for more.
Despite all of her hungry for this new sugary passion, Emi Ibarazaki was anything but empty. Her belly bounced tightly, wobbling up and down simply from her animated attack to quickly slam through as much chocolate as she could. Her thighs skated against one another, her chest heaved as her lungs strained for breath. It was as if her whole body were trying to send out a straining alarm, but still she ate.
Emi’s stomach had reached maximum capacity about three rooms ago. The skin was stretched pink, dribbles of sweat forming on her thighs and her brow. But still, her mind hungered. Still, her body ate. Were it not for the wonders of the Nakai factory, she’d be on the floor, gasping for breath, hiccupping with fullness and worried that she might pop. Luckily for Emi’s appetite, she had two dozen Chocohal truffles bouncing around in her belly.
Unluckily for the small, lithe, energetic Emi Ibarazaki, she had two dozen Chocohal truffles bouncing around in her fat, tight, bouncing stomach, hurriedly mixing with nearly twenty pounds of pure sugar and fat.
Emi didn’t even realize that she’d just devoured another five pounds. It’d be impossible. She’d walked into this factory so slim… but each pick was five pounds of chocolate, and her body was growing to fit even more.
Emi was gaining weight. Quick quicker and quicker, with each new bite, Emi’s body almost visibly swelled. Growing faster and warmer, burning thousands of calories to swiftly convert into sagging weight. Huffing and puffing, the girl billowed steam like a growing furnace, her body sent into overdrive as she overindulged.
Chocohal truffles were a unique treat. Give a girl at the office a gift for Valentine’s Day, a full box of chocolates with one single Chocohal truffle mixed in, and soon she’ll be producing a strongly worded argument for your firm to begin building houses out of pure chocolate.
Naturally, starting with her own.
To ensure this effect, these filling truffles needed to ensure there was room in the girl’s belly that she might be driven into a chocoholic-craze. Therefore, the sweetest of sweets was specially mixed to digest Nakai-branded chocolate at an accelerated pace.
As Emi picked up the final pickaxe, she was delightfully ignorant that her dress was pinching ever-tighter, slowly lifting as the chocolate-conversion spread from her belly. From behind, the bottom of her panties could now be seen. Pinched between Emi’s firm, fatty cheeks.
A thread snapped, then two, where Emi’s fat-filled legs began forcing her stripped high-socks to roll lower and lower, exposing the droplets of sweat from where she squeezed her thighs.
She felt almost as if she were melting in some celestial oven, her overfed body trying and failing to match the girl’s frightening pace, until the final bite of the third pick vanished between her lips, tumbling past her gums.
Emi blinked, looking at the tunnel. Hard walls of chocolate, the final pick almost between her chocolate-marked teeth.
It was a tool that could get her so much more.
Something came from behind her. A loud sound, back from the room where all the wrappers had been. People were coming, people who might try to take her chocolate… Or worse!
Talk about more boring things that weren’t chocolate!
Driven by her purest chocoholic-instinct, Emi snatched a hardhat off the top of the wall mumbling before turning and fleeing into the tunnel, taking the final pick with her.
A few moments later, Hisao, Hanako, and Rin arrived at the mouth of the tunnel, the factory-man coming at an awkward trotting pace.
“Oh, dear… oh dear, oh dear…” Hisao bent down, scooping up the discarded hard candy shaft. “How many Chocohals did she eat?”
“A-a dozen… maybe two?” Hanako replied, obviously unsure. “T-th-they were just… um… sitting right there. Lilly asked her for one, b-but she didn’t share.”
“Of course,” Hisao replied. He pinched his brow as he thought. “This was the route we were to take to behold the mines in all its majesty. However, it appears she has taken the minecart all for herself. I do wish you two had mentioned the Chocohals earlier… I had been under the impression she was simply excited for chocolate.”
“She wouldn’t stop talking about it,” Rin said sourly.
The tone seemed to go straight over Hisao’s top hat. “I know! It made for delightful conversation. Far better than most I’ve endured today... Pah, I suppose I should have realized that such admiration held complex significance.”
“Did you not see what it was doing to her body?”
Hisao’s brow furrowed. “You are aware that chocolate is fattening, yes?”
Rin shrugged.
From the side, Hanako broke into the stalemated conversation. “I-I-I-I’m…” she looked down, blinking her eyes a few times and trying not to blush. “I’m sorry,” she said in a small voice, “It’s my fault. I-I forgot you…” she paused, looking between Hisao and Rin. “I… I forgot you both left us. In the Inven-tea-ing room.”
Hisao let out a long sigh, shaking his head as he looked into the mine. He went the hangers that were the hardhats, knocking the headpiece free before poking a small button on the holder with his walking cane.
There was a sharp click. A section of wall snapped upward to reveal an obtuse brass speaker.
Hisao leaned forward, clearing his throat before speaking into the device. “Rai, Mikasa, I need you both to drop whatever you’re holding and head over to the Chocolate Mines. We’ve a missing guest.”
“BELAY THAT ORDER!!!” roared the speaker at an instant reply. Rai’s voice blasted so fiercely that it nearly knocked the hat from Hisao’s head. “Mikasa! Do you read?! Belay that! Do not drop her!! I swear to God, if you do, I will come down there and beat the snot out of you!”
A very loud silence followed for several seconds.
“Umm…” came the extremely hesitant voice of the younger Kaito. Above her audio came a faint echo of what sounded like a panicked shrill scream, fading as its owner rolled further and further away from Mikasa’s position. “Make that… two guests… missing in the mines.”

The Chocolate Mines were not a tourist attraction.
Originally, that had been the idea. Build a tunneling system beneath the factory and allow patrons to form digging parties that could mine their own treats, and officially that was still the section’s eventual goal.
But it didn’t take long after the mines were filled and the chocolate hardened to discover the dangers of a mining operation were all too real, even in one made of chocolate.
Workers had to battle the threats of cave-ins, dark lighting, long and random pathways that led to nowhere. Even seemingly impossible issues, such leaks and, in one unlucky case, electrocution.
Another problem came from their very existence. Since the mines ran beneath the entire factory, several architects worried extensively about total collapse despite the hard belief of Mr. Nakai that a chocolate foundation made a poetic establishment. He had insisted that the titanium plating that surrounded the mines, and which formed several necessary support beams, would merely be an extra precaution, protecting the factory from underground invaders.
Years of use had seen the Chocolate Mines take on their own sort of ecosystem. Winding tunnels were carved, seen as a way to recover profits from the area’s massive cost, and automations were built to send mined materials straight to the wrapping room.
Otherwise, issues were found out and simply worked around. The workers had used lengths of chocolate-covered wood to stabilize the lower parts of the shafts, as well utilizing the instillation of carts to quickly navigate the main passages. To battle the darkness, they’d had the inventor develop glowing candies that would illuminate their flavors from the chocolate walls.
Bigger issues, such as battling against the inexplicable leaks, had a different work-around. That being, those areas were merely just avoided, because nobody was being paid well enough to battle chocolate leaks in a chocolate mineshaft under a chocolate factory.
For now, the draw of the mines was using them as a pleasing aesthetic. They were undeniably gorgeous to look upon, a true marvel of the modern-day man, but this was better done from the safety of the upper halls.
However, the mines did promote one other use.
If you needed to move anything that was extremely heavy or obtusely shaped, you could move it quite easily through the carved-out mines. You and your load could even take breaks, stop to share a bite of freshly cut chocolate… as long as you didn’t stop on a steep incline.
Emi skipped past chests of the florescent candies as she hurried down the passageway, using the choco-wood beams between the rails to assure her footing.
“One, two, three, four,” she counted each step, trying and failing to remember how far she’d come. This exhalation of breath was beginning to weigh too heavily on the girl, her counting becoming more awkward and ragged, but still she sped on.
She was getting tired. She couldn’t eat chocolate while she was running.
So why was she running?
There’s no point to running if there’s no chocolate to eat. Ahead of her was just more dimly lit space, following downwards and going deeper and deeper.
But all around her the passion she sought, the chocolate to eat. It surrounded her, even if it was colored quite oddly in this poor candylight. Crystals emitted colors of blue and of green, of yellow and purple, illuminating Emi as she her rushed through her bounty. In a whisper so soft but so very warming, her chocolate called out to her.
It wanted her to eat it all.
That’s why she was running, she remembered. She was running so she could find a way to eat it all.
“It’s mine,” she panted as ran, feeling the beast making room in her belly. “All mine.”
Emi was a runner. She ran every day of every week of every month. She held this routine for as long as she could after recovering from the accident that had taken her legs. The feeling of the wind in her hair, the slight pangs of her muscles, these feeling weren’t new to her.
What was new to her was the fine layer of pudge she had accumulated. Her thighs smacked together every other step, her dress slipping up over her sweaty hips to cling tighter and tighter into her forming love handles. Her panties were flossed between her round butt cheeks, a pale white moon that bounced and jiggled with rotund glee as more and more weight spilled onto her tiny frame.
The fatness of her legs made her prosthetics feel odd, especially moving at a running step, but biggest the issue Emi had at this moment was that the chocolate surrounding her was not already inside of her.
All these sensations, all these wants, everything else could be analyzed later.
The tunnel she was following branched out into a few different paths, but she followed the minecart rail still down further.
“Not yet,” she wheezed, “Not far… enough.”
Further, farther, down into the belly of this chocolate Earth. Emi would go to its center to make her home.
All of this chocolate was hers already. She just had to… had to…
Fire blossomed from Emi’s center, a pang of tightness, of overwhelmed sensation, and above even that, hunger roared forth like an impatient lioness.
“Gaaaaah!” Emi shouted, pivoting and launching all of her momentum into an accelerated swing. The sharp head of the axe slammed into the chocolate face of the wall, embedding deep in before tearing a large block free.
It boomed like thunder as it slammed to the ground, the short-girl pouncing on it like a candy-crazed raptor, openly gnawing at the torn apart rock.
The chocolate came freely as she took bite after bite after bite in a vicious fashion. She felt the dull thud on her head, her hardhat impacting against the wall in her haste, and was briefly startled when a small yellow light began emanating from the helmet’s headlamp.
Emi rolled onto her butt, the chocolate slab filling what remained of her lap unoccupied by her belly, her emerald eyes trying to look up at the light. She nosily clamped down on the shard with her teeth, raising a hand to the light of the helmet. It didn’t feel hot, like a bulb, but it was brighter than the rock-candies that illuminated from the chocolate walls.
Another candy creation, so it would seem.
The chocolate shard was quickly reduced to crumbs, turning Emi up onto her hands and her knees. The girl waggled her butt in the air, an overweight cat making ready to pounce, with her tongue flicking in and out to lap up the remainders.
She noticed the chocolate flooring was swiftly melting beneath the heat of her tongue, a fact which excited her heart… until she felt dread sink it back down to her belly.
The vibrations were felt through her tongue first. Then came the slight shifting of the ground beneath her. She pulled her eyes up to see the quivering of the remaining scraps in the pale light of her lamp.
Something was coming.
Emi snatched her pick and rushed off to the side of the track. She could see the void of an entryway, a tunnel unlit by the candy crystals that opened up from a wall. Her thighs slapped loudly as she ran, her hand snatching the chocolate corner and throwing herself through. She nearly slammed knee first into a stockpile of supplies.
The sounds of the approaching cart reverberated off of the cave’s walls, making them louder and shriller. Panicked, Emi attempted to hop over a supply chest to squeeze into the small space between it and the tunnel wall.
The portly girl landed on top of the chest belly first, knocking the wind out of herself.
She could barely hear her own groans over the cacophony of incoming noise, still trying languidly to roll into the gap. Her right side caught against the tunnel wall with her left hip still on top of the box. Her stomach dipped, elbows flinging out, overcome with the sense of being stuck mid-fall. Emi strained her legs, pushing her fluffening frame into the tiny space.
The box shifted slightly, finally allowing gravity to take hold, sinking her down onto her weighty bottom. Emi crossed herself with the axe and, after a second’s realization, covered up the light of her work helmet. The stowaway tried to pull her knees to her chest, but there was now far too much belly blocking her way.
She could feel the click-clacking in the vibrating wall, but it was the shouting echo of a threatening voice that sent a shiver down her spine. “You are dead! You hear me! Dead! You better hope you disappear into these mines because when we get home, I’m gonna kill you!” the heated feminine voice bellowed in rage. A red light shot by, matching a scream of reverberated curses as a girl and her cart passed Emi’s hiding place.
The shouting faded as the cart pulled away. Emi sighed, her belly sagging into her lap. “Hoogh, that was close…” Emi grunted to herself, grateful that she’d apparently just dodged out on an axe-murderer.
She knew they’d be looking for her, but threatening to kill her? Wasn’t that a bit much?
However, Emi’s mind quickly refocused on her awkward position. It was a tight fit, and she was starting to feel a pinching in her hips. The spot seemed tighter than it had when she had rolled in, and it hadn’t been the easiest fit to begin with! “Hnnngh… come on!” she struggled, attempting to pull herself up, but she couldn’t budge.
Emi grunted, tossing the pickaxe over the chest, and tried to rise again. She just couldn’t get a good grip on the wall. She fell back, pouting.
“Well what the heck am I supposed to do now?” she asked nobody.
The serpent answered.
Emi’s nose perked as it slithered into her in her safe spot, causing her eye to light up brighter than her lamp. She turned and stuck her tongue out, reaching over the fur coat and her now-chubby arm to lick the wall.
The tip of her tongue skated over the surface, where flecks of chocolate were slowly scrapped away.
Emi swallowed, then licked the wall again. Then again.
A purr released from the girl, putting all of her weight into the wall. Her taste buds rejoiced with every lick, her belly loudly making noise of content.
After a few minutes of this, Emi had made absolutely zero progress, but she was at least enjoying herself. Lick after lick after lick after lick, she lost herself in the easy repetition, only to be startled from her chocolate nirvana by a sound that was much worse than rushing a minecart.
The unmistakable sound of a woman’s shrill scream resonated throughout the chocolate mineshaft.
Emi pushed off of the wall in startled surprise with her thighs, heavy enough now to force the chest outward. She raised her elbow up, bracing herself against the wall to pull herself up onto the surface, her lamp shining back towards the minecart’s tunnel and source of the scream.
Emi could hear something else. The rails were shaking, and she spotted building rush of an oncoming red light. Emi barely had time to cover her headlamp as the cart tore by with a small, redheaded girl squealing inside, blowing by so fast that Emi felt the wind come off the cart.
The girl vanished past the entrance to Emi’s offshoot tunnel but, for some reason, the screaming was louder now than ever before. Emi winced, putting her hands on her ears and uncovered her headlamp just as if the moon drifted in front of the sun.
The mines went completely black.
All the crystallized light that had been flowing from the main tunnel was eclipsed when an immense globular sphere suddenly filled Emi’s entryway before rushing through. With a startled yelp, Emi dropped back towards her hiding space while her eyes caught the faintest impression of red, on yellow, on a deep juicy blue, before the chest was harshly shoved against her rounded thighs and flattened Emi’s ass against the wall.
Emi heard a small, pained cry mirror her own as she smacked the siding before toppling down on her chest while the object rolled further down her tunnel and into darkness, now silent.
“Oooooggghh,” she groaned, trying to get her breath back, only slightly aware that she’d nearly been crushed.
After a few grunts of effort, Emi freed herself from the trap. She shined her light down her tunnel, then looked back to the main passage. She climbed over the chest, sinking onto it before letting out a breath of relief.
On automation, the girl checked herself over for bruises. She lifted a chub-covered leg and crossed it over her knee before tugging down on her striped socks. “What the… hey, come on!” she grunted, pulling harder when the sock refused to come free.
Her efforts earned her a tremendous snap on her thigh as the elastic on her sock twanged free, slapping the fat of her leg as it released. Emi’s face folded as the sock crumpled downward, falling beneath her knee and fully exposing her prothesis.
“Oh…” her fingers finally traced over the fat that overlapped her knee.
Her face fell further into a grimace as she looked over her attachments, firmly clamped onto her leg. She tried to flex the muscle in her thighs and what little remained of her calf, sending a ripple of pudge down to her bracer.
Very slowly, Emi turned down to her tummy. Her… stomach. Her gut.
Emi Ibarazaki had a chocolate-filled, round, wobbling gut that refused to be indented by her squeezing fingers. “That can’t be good…” she mumbled to herself, then turning back to her prosthesis.
Fat overflowed the top of her artificial leg. It looked as if it was only a third of the size her leg needed now, but she allowed herself one small comfort. If her thighs hadn’t been so well padded, her legs would have been flattened by that harsh impact.
Chocolate. If she was going to eat it all, she was going to gain a few pounds. That only made sense. That was okay. She might… she probably wouldn’t…
A noise came up from the tunnel, returning Emi’s mind to her chocolate-less now. She breathed, more aware of her belly than ever before, and lifted herself from the chest. On a suspicious whim, Emi snapped the container open.
Inside were several metal rails, a few choco-wood planks, and a couple spare miner helmets.
Emi took one of the spare helmets and checked that her own helmet’s strap was secure. If she’d heard what she had thought she had when it had slammed into her, the sphere was probably going to need one as well.
“Safety first,” she muttered to herself, hooking the Velcro of the strap to her fur coat’s material before walking down the deep slope of the tunnel and into the heart of the mines, following the groaning of a dizzy blueberry.
