It was raining in Hachinomori.
The late April air was muggy and gross even during the Spring rainstorm. The droplets, solid and hot, refused to alleviate the built-up tension in the soft redhead’s body.
Itsuki Nakano stood uncovered beneath the downpour. Her thick black-rimmed glasses were foggy and covered with droplets, and her tight denim jeans were digging uncomfortably into her stomach. A cheerful pink top had an icon of a xtra-large vanilla ice cream stretching to cover her xtra-large tummy.
It should have been loose, but the sweater was plastered to her body, beaten down by the unyielding rain. A pair of stars glimmered from her hair, golden light hidden beneath thick red locks that were as wavy as the coast. Her hair furled around even her wide curves, trying to shield her from the storm.
It did nothing for the swirling sadness she felt in her stomach, the waves of torment that washed over her chest and made her heart ache. How did such a hollow feeling feel so full?
She couldn’t even see the little paper anymore, protectively laminated over the steel shutters of building number 2 on block number 5. The document had been secured to the closed entryway inside of a thick plastic housing, and even though she couldn’t see past the drops falling down from her faraway eyes, she still scanned the memorized paper. Each handwritten swirl of the beautiful penmanship.

How many times did it take Nino to write it out just perfectly? To draw the cheerful little sun in the corner, the lovely flowers, and the soft little bunny beneath her happy wolf?
Probably just one. Nino always seemed to get it right on the first time.
Why did Itsuki feel like this?
Unable to look away from something she couldn’t see.
Unable to stop craving something she’d never have.
She’d held him, but he was never hers to claim.
Still, she could feel his hand on the top of her head even now, the only boy who’d ever ruffled her hair. The only boy who’d taken her out, even if it had been along with his little sister. The only boy who’d invited her to dinner.
The only boy Itsuki had ever loved.
She tried to tell herself she’d forgotten all about that. That she’d moved on, that she was somewhere new in her life.
But the dream had been so real.
Nearly 500lbs, the young teacher felt as small as a mouse as she stared down at that sign.
Somewhere, far above, she heard a bell toll. The sound reverberated through the air, bouncing off of every droplet and creating a piercing echo. Dong. Dong. Dong.
3 o’clock.
The pressure from the rain disappeared in an instant, though she could hear it still falling and splashing on her legs. A shadow moved near her elbow.
Something instinctive made her close her eyes, then lifting her glasses to wipe away the tears.
“You forgot your umbrella?” asked Miku’s soft voice.
Itsuki suddenly felt tired, more tired than the short walk from the train station could justify.
She didn’t want to see Miku, and definitely didn’t want Miku to see her. Not today, not like this. Huge and yet hollow, a tiny 17-year-old girl in an overfed 23-year-old body.
She knew she wasn’t the only girl who’d gained weight. Miku had gone from slender and slim to chubby and curvaceous, but there was practically no comparison to be had. Not many girls ever reached Itsuki’s weight, and none of them did it by sheer accident.
She wanted to just go home. To go to her apartment and burrow into her bed. There was still another week until classes started at the Hachinomori Elementary School. Her lesson plans were finished, she could get the gallon of French ice cream out of her freezer and-
“I dreamt about him last night,” Miku said. Itsuki felt the hole in her chest grow wider, swallowing her whole and bringing her back though all of those years.
She was standing in a hallway, the youngest yet somehow the center of the pack. Her arms were folded across her chest and she felt herself glaring as some idiot boy melted beneath the blue eyes of five quintuplet sisters.
Lightning flashed and she was sitting across the desk from him, on the receiving end of his piercing blue glare. There was a review packet on her desk, a meat bun in her hands, and a jackhammer in her chest.
A soft rumble and she was back, more than four times her size and soaked down through the blubber. Her shirt was wet enough that she could see her own pale muffintop straining the waistband of her jeans, and she knew her greedy mouth had puffed her up another two sizes.
A pressure on her back pulled her close, guiding her back to the sidewalk. Itsuki followed her older sister’s touch when her eyes finally caught Miku’s appearance as another flash of lightning lit up the sky.
The chubby sister had crammed herself into a pale-blue hoodie, with an ill-fitting green skirt clutching around her full hips. Black leggings sought for, and failed to find, any thigh gap. An ancient pair of headphones completed her old, teenage outfit, circled around her neck and plugged into nothing at all. The layer of plush normally looked quite nice, but in this outfit, it made her look like a heavyweight… yet there was a smile on her face as Miku softly said, “What a nightmare.”
Thunder boomed.

If Itsuki had been paying attention, she’d have recognized the path that the sisters took was not towards the train station. If she’d noticed this, she would have probably complained quite loudly. Hachinomori was a big city, and waddling around it was, quite clearly, not something Itsuki could be considered a fan of.
Nino’s bakery was in the commercial area, a couple of miles from the main market and far, far away from the residential district. Itsuki and Nino both rented from apartments that were a few miles south, not in the residential but not living above a café like Fuutarou’s father.
Itsuki’s brain had switched off, focusing instead on the peace of the rain and the friction between her thighs. She’d been neglecting her moisturizer since she hadn’t been teaching, and she could feel the movement taking its toll on the wide surfaces fighting for space.
Chub rub. It was a cute name for a deadly affliction.
Well, not deadly. Bothersome.
Deadly bothersome.
That dorky thought was what finally broke Itsuki's stony composure. She stuck out her tongue and blew a little raspberry, trying to clear her head.
“Are you okay?” Miku asked.
“… Yeah,” she let out a sagging sigh. “Sorry. I think things just got to me. My head’s kind of… everywhere.”
Miku made a small noise of agreement. “Don’t be sorry. Those things probably would have gotten to me if you hadn’t beaten me there.”
Itsuki let out a husky, bitter chuckle. “Yaaay. I finally showed up first.” She lifted a finger in the air, celebrating by swirling it four times. “Go me.”
A quick splashing noise drew the eyes of both girls. Ahead of them, some lunatic was running, sprinting really, down the vacant city street. Dark blue sweatpants beneath a toxic green hoodie, they flew past the wobbling pair fast enough that Itsuki’s legs began to burn from stomping empathy.
“I guess some people can just stick to their schedules,” Itsuki suggested.
Miku said nothing.
The smaller sister’s pace had slowed and, given she carried the umbrella, Itsuki forced her pace down as well. It gave her time to really notice where they were, looking around.
“Where are we going?” she asked. She recognized a few places and, with a willpower that was almost as strong as her mind, her belly questioned, “Are we going out to lunch?”
A moment passed before Miku seemed to come back to the present. “Uhh, no. Unless you’d like to.”
Itsuki’s tummy had seized control. “It’d be nice. The last thing I had was a sub at the train station. The shop there sucks, but their roast beef’s okay. And the bread is fresh, which is more than I could say-”
Miku listened while Itsuki’s persona began to take hold, looking back over her shoulder as the runner turned down the street towards Nino’s Café. Miku then faced frontward, letting her head drop for a moment before pulling her phone out of her sweater’s pocket.
“And the service!” May frowned. “I know it’s basically fast food, but really! They should hire more experienced workers than teenagers. Some of my second graders have more awareness than those kids. Can you imagine actually trying to teach them anything? No, thank you.”
‘I love you,’ she typed before sending the text.
She didn’t expect a response.
“There’s actually a McDonalds near the market,” May lifted her finger, drawing a little M in the air, “and the manager there’s super great. She gave me free food! But I think she recognized me.”
“It’s hard not to recognize you.”
May laughed, the first happy noise she'd made since she'd met up with Miku, and it had wobbled straight from her belly. “It’s practically cheating! But why try to wear a disguise if everyone just tells the other owners, ‘make sure you treat all the fat girls well’? It’s kind of nice,” she shrugged, “but I’ve got to be more careful too.”
“How’s your website going?”
“Really well!” The large woman waggled her hips as they walked, completely consumed by her passion. “I’ve been getting invites to publish articles in newspapers, and even a few magazines! And the paper has been letting me share my webpage details, so there’s always more traffic!”
“That sounds really nice,” Miku nodded, genuinely pleased for her littlest sister. “I’m happy to hear that.”
Itsuki blushed, a cheery red glow that looked far more fitting on her soft face. “Thanks. It’s been a bit tough, especially with teaching and all, but it’s really nice just to have something like this. Kind of like your baking!”
“I do baking for work,” Miku reminded.
“There’s more to it than that!” Itsuki cheered. “I’ve seen you bake, it’s almost like watching someone paint.” She held out her hands, drawing a round cake with her chubby fingers. “You take sugar and eggs and milk and you make something real out of it! Then you put another on top then another on that one, and then there’s a whole sculptor of delicious chocolate and cream cheese and ooooh.”
As Itsuki went on, Miku could hear the strength of her tummy rumbling over the sound of the rain. She seemed to grow even fatter, belly pushing further with every step, her weighty arms jiggling up and down as she spoke with her hands.
She wondered how she did it. How could Itsuki make being as big as she was look so very enticing. She was more than a reflection of her sisters, Itsuki was quickly becoming as round as the pack, but the fatter she got, the more confident she became.
Miku doubted she knew it, but Itsuki just looked good. The woman wore her weight like she’d really earned every single pound, and Miku felt happy for her sister. She just wished she could look half as good as the overweight princess.
Itsuki was soaking wet, her pants were splashed with flecks of mud, and her wide navel was visible through the tightness of her shirt. But Itsuki was smiling, and the warmth in her grin was breaking through the overcast sky.

The stars in her hair sparkled against the light of her eyes.
“We’re getting lunch here?!” she asked, looking up at the icon of the Sinful Temptations. Her starlite eyes fell to Miku as she folded up her umbrella. “Y-you’re gonna make me something?”
Miku shrugged. “I just need to get changed. The owner had me close early today because of the storm. We can still go somewhere else.”
“B-but we can make something here!”
“I can make something,” Miku countered, reaching into her sweater pocket and withdrawing a light blue lanyard attached to a bronze key. “You can’t cook.”
It was almost as if Itsuki hadn’t even heard her, her attention captivated by the colorful pastries that had been set out for display. Miku watched Itsuki’s large reflection as she unlocked the door, her chubby cheeks pulled up in an excited grin, wide stomach folding over her tiny green… skirt…
Miku blushed, staring her own reflection in the eyes and suddenly feeling much, much fatter than the pudge on her waist.
She coughed, opening the door and stepping into Sinful Temptations, flicking on the light and quick stepping towards the counter. “I-I’ll be right back,” she stammered as Itsuki’s hips slid through the door, her glasses shining bright as the scent of sugar triggered a rumble from her tummy that made her ice cream sweater dance.
Miku used a thigh to pass through a small partition, a tiny gate in the counter which swung closed behind her.
The shadow of her future tried to follow.
It was too fat to pass through the entrance.
Miku went to the back room, flicking on another light and tapping a five-digit code into the burglar alarm. Only then did she allow herself a moment to just breathe, removed from the sight of her sister.
The central workstation caught her eye, a long steel table that held five red platforms with five fluffy cakes. Her work for the day, influenced entirely by the dream that she’d had.
Walking quickly past the cakes, Miku went to the hanger where her clothes-bag and satchel still hung. She checked the satchel, found the large bottle still there, and paused just to think.
They’d all dreamed about him.
Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, Itsuki.
If it was true for two of them, it would be true for all of them.
After all, they were Quintuplets.
The first cake was light, a sweet strawberry frosting that had been topped with several decorative flowers.
The second cake was double layered, with elegant swirls around the large base. It was meant to be served nice and hot, as it consisted largely of vanilla, but with a chocolate filling that would dribble like lava from the soft interior.
The third cake was bright blue, the color of the sky, and decorated with several clouds of vanilla frosting. It was simple, yet stylish, and had made Miku happy.
The fourth cake was smaller than the others but had enough sweetness that it would pack a real wallop. A large ribbon had been tied over the top as a nice centerpiece, with plenty of dots decorating the sides.
The fifth cake was being eaten. Shaped like an extra-large doughnut, the confection had a large hole in the center of a wavy design. Rolling hills that were covered in powdered sugar, with a fat trail of frosting inelegantly pushed aside.
Itsuki froze as Miku and her locked eyes, a chubby finger coated with a heavy glob of red cream cheese hovering a few inches from her plump lips. Her obesity was laying on top of the table, tummy spreading almost all the way to the tubby red cake.
A gentle rumble shook the base of each of the pastries.
“S-sorry,” she blushed. She put her finger back to the cake, as if she were going to try and wipe the frosting back into place.
Miku tried to cover her smile.
“It’s okay. We can have a slice or two. There weren’t many orders today, so I got to play around. I was-”
She was in the middle of explaining when, looking very excited, and even more hungry, Itsuki clasped a piggy pinch of cake and separated it, bringing it to her mouth. Her glasses shined with an extra bright light from her big blue eyes.
Miku coughed and her massive sister hopped, pushing the table back a few inches with her tummy.
“S-sorry! Y-you said we could-”
“Let me grab plates.” Miku pouted. “You’re like an animal…”
“I am not!” Itsuki squealed, flecks of the cream cheese clinging to her lips.
Miku grabbed two tiny plates from the kitchen’s cabinets, passing one to her sister and ignoring that there was another piece of cake that was missing. She then used a cake knife to begin cutting a sliver, but a small whimper had her make it bigger. Then bigger.
When the slice became as big as a fourth of the total surface, she looked up into Itsuki’s still pouting face and, in spite of the tiny whine, cut down anyways.
Itsuki looked at her fourth of cake, easily about two pounds of sugar and cream cheese, like it was only a morsel that would leave her to starve. It took up the entirety of her dessert dish.
Miku held out a dessert fork, a thin utensil for the mitt of Itsuki, then cut herself a slice. “This is what’s called a Bundt cake,” she described. “We use a special pan to get the center tube, and the batter is bundled around it.”
Itsuki wasn’t listening.
She always got like this. The first couple bites of sugar after a day that had been sour made her feel oh so sweet. Her fork was upturned, her belly puffed out, her eyes shut and smiling wide over her hefty double chin.
She reminded Miku of the stuffed animals she’d perched on her bed, though Itsuki always looked about twice as comfy.
Miku took a bite of her own, tasting the light chocolate of the red velvet cake mixing very pleasantly with the creamy decoration. The presentation was nice, the flavor was better, and maybe it was just the mood, but Miku ended up in a similar pose, both sisters sighing in pleasured contentment.
“This is lovely,” Itsuki said past a second mouthful, filling every inch of her overburdened fork.
“It’s red velvet. There’s little chocolate chips baked in.”
“I think I taste it!”
Another moment passed between the sisters before Itsuki asked the uncomfortable question.
“So… um, your outfit?”
Miku blinked at her, slowly chewing before a blush colored her cheeks. “Oh,” her hand fell down to her sweater. “Yeah…” She took the headphones off of her neck, feeling like an idiot. “I just thought… well, I didn’t know they were leaving town.”
“Me neither!” Itsuki complained. “They should have told us! It’s rude!”
“It’s their second anniversary.”
Itsuki deflated a bit. “Oh… yeah…”
An awkward pause formed between the two girls. “Maybe that’s why we dreamt of him,” Miku suggested.
“Eh??”
Miku shrugged. “You had a dream, and I did too. Ichika, and Yotsuba, but Nino’s…” another shrug, although there was a bittersweet smile on her soft face. “Nino’s living hers.”
Itsuki shuffled uncomfortably. “Well, I don’t know about that. That we’d all have a similar dream?”
“We’re Quintuplets.”
The words were almost as plump as Itsuki, filling the room and quieting everything but the sound of chewing. Itsuki relented, chuckling morosely. “Do you remember their wedding night?” she asked.
Miku remembered. Sitting on the counter in a kitchen, her legs swinging, Ichika on one side, Itsuki on the other, rocking back and forth as they drank as much wine and ate as much cake as they could handle, laughing like sisters. Her very best friends.
Her eyes unintentionally flicked towards her satchel. “Yes,” she said, turning back to her cake.
It was only a split second, but her sister had caught it, and Itsuki’s eyes narrowed while her lips continued munching. Very slowly, her belly slid over the table as she took a wide step to her side.
Miku looked away from her sister, trying not to look at her satchel.
“Whahya goot?” Itsuki asked, and Miku felt flecks of cake striking her neck.
“N-nothing!”
“Makuuu!” Itsuki’s fingers came around her sister’s hip, pulling the smaller girl into her side. “Taall meee, whahya got in yor baaag.”
The effect put an immediate image of her piggy little sister crammed into a policewoman’s uniform, interrogating her like a suspect.
Miku tried very hard not to laugh. It came out in small snorts, which then made her laugh even harder before Itsuki’s fingers danced around her waist. “Mikuuuu~”
“S-s-stop!” she struggled out from Itsuki’s half-hold half-hug, going to her bag. “Okay, fine!” she blushed. “It’s just… I don’t know. I thought I’d stop by there, say hi, then…” she opened her satchel, revealing a large bottle of blackberry merlot.
Itsuki giggled, putting her empty plate down next to her cake. Her laughter was husky and deep as she wobbled to Miku, swallowing the last mouthful. “And you were going to drink and eat cake,” she put a hand on her chest, “without me?”
“I-I was…” Miku blushed, tucking into her chest. “O-only… maybe a little. A glass. Maybe two!”
“And a whole cake,” Itsuki glanced back to the table. “Maybe five.”
Miku swallowed. Her chest was beating quite quickly, as if something inside of her was so close to the surface, so close to exposed. “T-there’s no way… I could eat five cakes…”
With all of the grace of a five-hundred-pound girl, Itsuki turned to her sister, and gave a wicked, sweet smile.

Miku had searched the drawers of the bakery for a corkscrew, having been informed by her generous sister that she wouldn’t be allowed to cut the slices due to ‘lack of imagination.’ Miku’s pout had had no effect on the piggy, an absolute princess when it came to sweet cake.
She’d found the tool in the owner’s desk, taking it to the bottle as Itsuki passed by with a pair of pie tins and a dangerous giggle.
The kitchen seemed so much warmer than it had this morning, so much more alive even though Itsuki was just bobbing around. She wasn’t cooking or baking, Miku could tell because the place wasn’t on fire, but she just made the whole area feel pleasant.
Pleasant enough that, after Miku stabbed the top of the wine, she reached down on her sweater and pulled it over her top.
The shift pulled her tight white blouse partially up her tummy, and she had to wiggle to pull it back down before, realizing she didn’t even want to wear the darn thing, she began undoing the buttons. “Hey, Itsuki? I’m going to go change back into my uniform.”
“Okay!” Itsuki called back before, more softly adding, “I’m surprised you even kept that old thing.”
Miku looked down at her outfit. “Does it look bad?” she asked.
Itsuki paused before grunting, lifting herself from the table and waddling to Miku’s front with her hands on her hips. “It’s not bad,” said the fat girl with an ice cream sweater, “but it just doesn’t really… work. It’s a little…” she lifted her hands.
Miku’s body was much bigger than when they were in high school. Each of the girls had been naturally blessed, but the extra weight from baking was going to all the right places for Miku. She had large hips, thick thighs, and her breasts were straining the buttons of her old clothing. The white blouse didn’t reach all the way over her stomach, and there was a spot of softness in-between.
“…tight,” Itsuki finished. “Especially your tights.”
Miku took a step back, her lips puckering. She lifted one of her thick legs, which stretched the material enough that her pale skin was starting to peek through. “What’s wrong with my tights?” she asked.
Itsuki grimaced. “They’re… tighter, than tight. It’s okay! I haven’t had a thigh gap since I was eighteen,” the fat woman laughed.
Miku’s blush brought the temperature up another three degrees. “T-thigh gap?” she asked, now truly sounding worried. “I don’t…?!” She began twisting, trying and failing to see past her curves.
“Erm, you don’t,” Itsuki lifted a hand, running it awkward through her forest of hair. “You should keep calm. Your tights look like they’re goin-”
The rip wasn’t loud, but it echoed like thunder when Miku’s legs ripped free and lightly tapped together all the way up into her skirt.
Miku stood silently, very slowly dragging her legs against one another.
“I-if you’re getting chub rub, I’ve a moisturizer-”
The blue eyes snapped up to Itsuki’s, looking murderously wide at the implication of chub. Itsuki shuffled from side to side, saying something, assuring Miku that it wasn’t nearly that bad, but Miku didn’t see the bright cherry hair of her sister.
Instead, Miku looked at her own brick red hair pulled over one eye, her pale wobbling flesh bursting out of her button-down shirt, her thighs having absolutely destroyed all of her tights. She looked at Itsuki and saw herself, five times the size she should be, and Miku felt like she might fall over.
“And really, it’s not even that bad! You’re just, like, a little soft! I’m actually almost jealous!” Itsuki talked quicker and quicker. “Please don’t be mad, I can get you bigger tights. I’ve some really nice tights, and they stretch a bunch, I call them my fat pants!! B-but you’re not, oh my God.”
Miku reached for her clothes back. “I’m going to change back into my uniform,” she said slowly, behind dead eyes, leaving Itsuki to wobble around the kitchen and trying to find something that might make her feel better, and after having gathered several dozen canisters of sprinkles, remembered the wine and began searching for glasses.
Miku came out after a handful of minutes, just as Itsuki was brushing the evidence of her piece of stress-cake back onto the platter.
“L-listen,” Itsuki blushed, half-caught. “Umm, I couldn’t find any wine glasses, but I just wanted…” she stopped, her mind registering something and the fully spun to her sister. “That’s your uniform?!” she asked.
Miku was blushing, looking at the cakes with a glimmer of blue hunger. She wore what looked like a faux-maid outfit, but blue instead of black, matching her eyes and mixing with the soft, clean white.
The dress was gorgeous, and hugged Miku’s figure in a way that made her sister immediately wonder if it came in XXXXL. It covered up to her neck with a pretty blue bow, hugging her sides and having the apron open over her middle before reaching down to mid-thigh. Most of her legs were exposed, and she’d have benefited from a nice pair of thigh-high stockings, or maybe some… tights…
The final additions were the blue and white lace she wore through here hair, as well as pair of white arm cuffs that were tied just over her soft elbows and a pair of pretty blue gloves set over her fingers.
“Stop staring at my legs,” Miku pouted. “They touch, I saw.”
“You look… I mean, wow,” Itsuki blushed. “You look like you run a maid café!”
Miku brightened, looking away. “I-it’s not so extreme. It’s just… an idea, I had. That makes our bakery stand out.”
Itsuki’s jaw hit the floor. “This was your idea?!”
Miku nodded. “That’s why there’s tables out in the lobby. People come in, get cupcakes, and service.”
“O-oh… I guess that explains…”
Itsuki gestured to the wine and the large pair of soda cups branded with ‘Sinful Desires’.
“WAIT!” she turned back to Miku, rushing her like a boar and making the other girl fear she’d be flattened. “That means you’re a restaurant!!” She took Miku’s hands, holding them up to her chest. “You have to let me review you! Please please please!!”
“Y-you don’t have to ask,” Miku blushed.
“I want to! Oh, gosh, do you have a menu?!”
Miku frowned. “Can I have my wine, now?” she asked.
“Oh!” Itsuki turned around, giving Miku a up close view of how wide her ass was, the attention only compounded by her huge, fatty pockets stretching over her cheeks. She returned with the wine, practically skipping and letting some of the fruity drink tip over the tops. “I’m just excited! You know how long it’s been since I reviewed someone I know?”
Miku took the offered glass. “I’d have thought you’d known a lot of owners.”
“I mean, like, know know! You know?”
Miku stared at her sister. “Your vocabulary is getting worse.”
Itsuki made the noise of a startled pig before turning into a snuffling whine. “It’s the second graders! They’re too stupid, it’s my brain!!!”
Miku sipped her wine.
“My lesson plans are crazy. I’m teaching science to kids who don’t know how to read English! Do you know how hard the periodic table is if you can’t read English?! So, I’ve got to teach- agh!” she groaned, noticing she was talking with her hands and spilling more wine, then lapped at her cup before letting out a final, “It’s stressful!”
Miku sipped a second drink of her wine.
Itsuki copied, lifting her cup, and guzzled about half of it before seeming to remember it wasn’t soda and spluttering. She paused, looking at Miku in her fine maid dress, and then spun on one porky leg. “Cake!” she declared, and Miku couldn’t have agreed more. She felt almost as if she could eat a whole…
Itsuki passed her a pie tin, and she instantly regretted her cursed thoughts.
Itsuki had also retrieved a pair of large serving forks, although she unaware that they weren’t made for personal usage. Though, with how they did seem perfectly sized to serve her fat lips and hungry mouth.
Itsuki’s tummy vibrated as the first large chunk slipped down her throat, joining the purr from her lips and the snort from her nose. Miku watched, taking a deep breath, and feeling a strong sense of inevitability as she followed her sister’s example and took her own heavyweight bite.
She didn’t want to get fat. She wasn’t like Itsuki, who looked almost like she reveled in her size and her weight. The way she danced as she ate, bobbing back and forth, her butt cheeks dancing as she wiggled her hips. It was like watching how she talked, so animated and excited, and always using her hands.
Miku was… reserved. She had trouble acting out her emotions, trouble being open. She’d always had trouble, with everyone except…
No. No, even he’d given her issues. A ton of them, really. He’d given her a whole lot of trials, of stress, had made her legitimately angry and very upset.
“I need to get a boyfriend,” she sighed before taking a deep drink of wine.
“You think you’ve got it hard?!” Itsuki put her hand on her belly, laughing bodaciously as she chomped on another mouthful of cake. “I’m un o’ ‘eh faaest gurls in Bahan!”
Miku snorted, a tiny piglet snort next to the chuff of the sow.
At least the food was good. She had to give it that.
Itsuki swallowed, a large act for the large lady, then taking another pull of her wine. She already looked like she needed another refill. “That’s it!” she said, turning suddenly on Miku. “How about we make each other a vow! That way, we can celebrate our sisters as well!”
Miku blinked at her, half-chewed cake filling out her cheeks.
Itsuki turned back to the cake platform, cutting another huge slice. “It’s fitting, because it’s her anniversary! Wait, actually, what’s today’s date?”
Miku covered her mouth. “April 21st.”
Itsuki dropped her fork, counting with her fingers. “Fourth month, twenty-one da-” she rounded on Miku, seizing her by the shoulders. “It’s perfect!!!”
“What is???” Miku felt increasingly confused.
“Today, you and I are making a vow! By this time next year, we’re going to try and… well…” she began to blush as bright as her hair while the meaning of words finally caught up to her. “M-maybe… at least, like, a date… or something…”
Miku began to quiver, and the fat in her thighs bounced cheerfully as the laughter passed over her lips, and she grudgingly agreed. “Alright. A date before next year.”
“R-right,” Itsuki took in a huge breath, rounding out her tummy like a fluffy puff ball. “Gosh,” she put a hand to her cheek. “We’re going to be twenty-five then.”
The harbinger of fate sat on the table behind the two girls, her legs dangling off the side, swinging from left to right, full of cake and wine. It’s appearance twisted, yet was always so similar. Colors changing from a bright cherry, to a darker brick. A beautiful peal, into a lovely tangerine, before finally becoming a happy magenta where she lifted herself from the table, and Nino Uesugi woke up beneath an umbrella on the beach, feeling as if she’d just had the most wonderful dream.
