The voice bade Kimihito forth from darkness, ringing like a church bell to summon him to her. He felt his legs shuffle, sliding against something warm and thick.
“Awaken from this dark dream. For the blood calls you forth.”
He blinked open his eyes to reveal Miia hanging over him with a vampiric expression. Her cheeks were darkly colored, fangs bared in a lusting grin, and her amber eyes shimmered with that ever-growing hunger.
“M-Miia?” he asked, suddenly fully awake.
All of the mystique in her expression melted into pudding as her fingers descended on his bare chest and her voice heightened several octaves. “I’m boooooored!”

The bedroom door thunked closed behind Miia. The scarlet snake stood outside of it scowling deeply with her arms crossed beneath her soft breasts.
It opened briefly and a blanket was tossed out onto her back before it closed again.
“He takes things so seriously…” she grumbled, picking up the blanket and wrapping it around her shoulders. Then, realizing she was wearing only her sheer pink and black night gown, her scowl became embarrassed and she turned around.
Two knocks on the door. “Darling?” she asked. “Can I have my phone?”
The door opened. Kimihito, still with his eyes closed, passed the red smartphone over to Miia.
He shut the door without another word. She heard the reinforced springs of their bed squeal as he fell into it and, presumably, straight back to sleep.
Miia felt herself shaking her rear back and forth, internal instincts pushing her to simply smash through the door and go bother him till he woke up and made her a… she checked her phone, 3AM breakfast. She’d been up for hours watching subtitled videos in silence on her phone and losing her mind with boredom.
Miia went right, towards the eastern edge of their home, and stared out of the window. A light layer of frost was forming over the small mounds of drifting snow on the grass outside. Just looking at it gave her shivers, and she tightened the blanket.
She spun around and went to the small sitting area outside of their bedroom before plopping down onto the couch. It was comfortable, but far too small for her. Meant more just to have something to occupy the empty space on the second floor rather than to see actual use. It was also, quite obviously, not made for a girl in the lamia’s weight class.
The cushions smushed down towards the center when she lay upon it, targeting her heaviest area, where her humanoid body gave way to her scarlet scaled tail. Her tummy, soft as a pastry, rolled from beneath her nightgown and onto that lap. She positioned a pillow behind her back, draped her tail off the far end of the couch, and then clicked the power on her phone.
Her lock screen and main background flashed by as the video app automatically loaded where she had left off.
The bar at the bottom informed that Vicar Amelia was down to her last third of health. A terrible, hound like creature with stag horns and gray fur that looked like hanging bandages filled the entirety of the small screen. The player-controlled huntress was dwarfed by the size of the boss, and was currently frozen beneath an immense descending fist that was the size of her person. In the top right corner, a small circle displayed a procedural CGI animation that was the ‘player,’ content creator Kizuna AI.
As fake as she was, Kizuna AI was remarkably cute. She wore a pink bow in her hair that gave the impression of rabbit ears, which seemed sort of pointless since the team behind the scenes had added white bunny ears to the avatar after liminal species began growing in popularity. Long brown hair, pale skin, the channel runners made a real effort to make Kizuna feel like she was an actual person, changing her outfits, hair styles, and giving her a real personality.
Currently, that personality involved a lot of sobbing and pleading with the game. Which wasn’t nearly as amusing to watch when it was subtitled as ‘incoherent babbling.’
Japan consistently amazed Miia. Back in her tribe, they had no smart phones. Had no phones at all, and absolutely no internet. Hardly even had electricity, hidden out in the desert. Miia had to use a Standard Definition television until she was 17 years old, playing games on an old PlayStation 2 that some human males had had in their packs when they had… involuntarily visited.
Yet here, in this world filled to the brim with technology and convenience right at her fingertips, she could simply load up the cute let’s player and enjoy several dozen hours of amusement with a few simple taps. Stories, movies, videos, all of it could be accessed on her tiny little screen.
Her finger hovered over the play button before an idea came to her and her tummy grumbled. She desired the perfect complement to any entertainment. Snacks!
She clicked her phone off and pushed it between her breasts, immediately amusing herself with the fact that she had now reached G cup. Her hands squished her boobs from either side, mashing her phone between them. She was so soft, so squishy, like a snuggly pillow… and she was getting softer every day.
Miia descended the wooden stairs, hardly feeling the cold wood beneath her scales, heated by the thoughts of her and Darling. Of that night last week where he had confessed.
‘You want to feed me fatter, don’t you?’ she had asked.
And he’d nodded. Face as red as her hair, in that moment he had looked as hungry as she felt.
‘Until I burst out of these clothes?’
Miia’s hand reached up beneath her nightgown, over her smooth pale belly. She’d begun squishing herself, imagining his hands on her. Imagining his lips on her tummy, moving up towards her chest.
She had not noticed she’d reached the pantry. Had not realized that she’d taken her packet of snack cakes and had torn one open until she’d shoved half of the chocolate sweet into her mouth and the burst of cream on her tongue brought her back to the present.
She looked down at her hand, jiggling her tummy. “Ugh,” she groaned heavily through the mouthful of cake. “Ami sho frign horni toniht…”
She snapped up the rest of the snack cake and sighed before grabbing a second, a third, and then deciding it’d be easier to take the whole box and, while she was at it, she really should just take the second. Oh, and a bag of chips… and a drink!
Miia hummed to herself as she gathered her snacks. She had to make two trips, bringing things to the front room before opening the fridge and withdrawing the six pack of blueberry ramune. The chill of the cold tile finally wore through her lust, lowering her body temperature and making the lamia more lethargic.
She returned to the front room, placing the flavored drinks on the table with all of her snacks before tugging it to the corner of their sectional and then twisting herself round, sliding over the couch and layering her tail on top of itself so that all of her fit onto the cushions. This furniture, which had been reinforced for heavy duty liminal usage, was much more forgiving than the couch upstairs… but even this one had its limit, and a pudgy lamia weighs far more than even an overweight minotaur.
Still, with only a slight grumble, it bore the girl. She was able to cover herself with the thick woolen blanket and lay with her head tucked onto a pillow at the edge of the couch, holding her phone in both of her hands and reaching for snacks with the tip of her tail.
She hit play and Kizuna AI’s high-pitched scream as Vicar Amelia’s fist slammed down on top of her had Miia giggling delightedly while another snack cake added onto the overabundance of calories the girl consumed each and every day.
The chubby sausage shaped snake was becoming quite adept at feeding herself using only her tail. She made a little game of it, holding tightly onto either end of her phone and trying to pop the packaging open by flexing the muscles in her appendage. The compressed air would pop the wrapping and she’d slip her tail in, pulling her prize free and munching bite after bite.
The first box of cakes was gone before Kizuna reached Vicar Amelia for the rematch, however the first cake of the second box was hardly opened when Kizuna was KO’d and sent back to The Hunter’s Dream, causing Miia to laugh so hard that she had to cover her mouth and her nose to keep quiet.
Kizuna’s fluffy white bunny ears flicked in irritation, her flat expression signifying her exasperation before she released a high pitched “FUCK!” that caused Miia to drop her phone, trying not to choke on and snorting piggy laughs through the taste of cream.
She felt her tummy pinching inward at either end when she doubled over, forming flabby love handles while she shook vigorously from laughing until the underused core muscles in her belly hurt and the tears had to be wiped away from her eyes.
She had to be quiet! Which, somehow, made things even funnier, and her laughter redoubled when the tiny AI loosed a string of curses at The Doll character after she was revived in The Hunter’s Dream.
It took Miia a bit to recover, swallowing her snack and splaying wide over the couch. She looked up at the ceiling, smiling to herself and sighing with contentment. She blinked her eyes once, twice, abruptly feeling quite comfortably tired lying there on her back. She turned her head towards the interior of the room, looking at the blank wall that was part of the stairwell and missing her old, bulky television. If she had that, she could play games for herself, or maybe she could see if she could watch Kizuna AI playing on the larger screen instead of her little phone. It’d be less of a bother than needing to hold it up all the time. She could just lay there and watch and enjoy all her snacks.
Miia felt her thirst then. She resigned herself to the present, though resolved to talk with Darling about getting something in the morning. As much as she was enjoying their honeymoon, and the winter in general, the external temperature would soon be quickly rising, and now that the blizzards had passed, she wasn’t feeling quite as constantly sleepy. Sleeping for most of the day was beginning to mess with her cycles.
She leaned over the edge of the couch to retrieve her phone while her tail withdrew a bottle of ramune. She had to put the phone down to tear open the plastic top of the glass bottle, then use that top to thunk the marble into the glass before she was free to sip on the juicy carbonated drink.
Cold flavored bubbles cascaded past her forked tongue and dipped down into her cake filled tummy, mixing and mashing with all the digestion and causing a burbling reaction to respond. Miia hiccuped before she was overcome with the need to yawn, stretch out her spine, and drop back against her pillow.
She held the phone above her, blinking at it through tired and blurry eyes. Hardly conscious of her tail grabbing another cake. Of her mouth opening to receive it. Of the chocolate crumbs that marked her lips and her chin and tumbled onto her pillow before swallowing one last mouthful and laying the still playing phone atop of her chest. Her fat boobs created the perfect slope to rest the phone, her tired arms going down to her waist and hiking up her nightgown and rubbing her pudgy tummy.
Again, the memory of his hands came to her, but this time it wasn’t sexual. It was comforting, him spooning with her in bed, or holding her in a hug. Wrapped around her, fingers digging into her gut. It made her feel like his chubby body pillow, his stuffed lamia doll, and it made her grin… and it made her tired… and it made her sleep.

“Does she always snore that loud?” Mero asked in a hushed voice.
Darling chuckled lightly, stroking his wife on her exposed cheek and brushing flakes of chocolate free. “I think it’s when she has cola before bed,” he explained. “It seems like it plays with her systems a bit. But it looks like she really knocked herself out,” he gestured to the empty bottle along with the bundle of scraps on the ground.
Miia grumbled something in her sleep, twisting towards and rubbing affectionately against his hand before the horrendous cacophony returned. She snored like a hacksaw trying to slice through a boulder and looked, in that moment, as lazy and carefree as she ever had before.
Mero bit her lip, watching the warm look on Kimihito’s face as he watched the scarlet lamia. He even adjusted the sheet over her, covering a pale shoulder where her blanket came loose from her movement.
Mero knew that she shouldn’t be feeling this way but… She couldn’t help being envious of Miia. Laying on the couch without a worry, pudgy and tubby and loving every moment. And all of the attention Darling gave to her, the way he still stroked her cheek and the soft, loving expression while she snorted like a fat pig. It made her feel incredibly jealous.
A glob of irrational anger bubbled inside of Mero’s belly, but instead of demanding Miia be awoken so she could join the harsh reality everyone else was forced to live in, she instead decided to take it out on the remaining packets of snack cakes. She reached out and seized one, tearing the noisy plastic open before taking the cake and taking an irritated bite, mumbling to herself until her frustration was tempered by the sweet delicious taste of cream.
She ate the rest of the treat and then another, attempting to drown her mind in the comfort of sugary chocolate. Midway through her third, Mero recognized she could no longer hear the jackhammer.
A cough snatched her attention and she swiveled to see a hungry pair of amber eyes atop a predatory smile.
“Excuse me,” Miia gasped indignantly, wearing a smarmy grin. “Those are my snack cakes!”
Mero narrowed her eyes and turned up her nose. She continued to silently chew.
From between the two women, Darling snorted, sitting down next to the now awoken lamia and petting her hair.
The girl was wasting no time on pleasantry. Her tail unraveled, sliding over Mero’s chair and forcing a puff of exhalation from the pink mermaid when the weight straddled her belly. Miia reached the box and secured herself another pastry before withdrawing her tail.
Mero covered her mouth and swallowed. “Sorry,” she mumbled feeling a brief moment of embarrassed shame.
“What for?” Miia asked, effortlessly popping the plastic wrap with a flex of her tail and withdrawing the prize with the tip. “I can share.”
She sat up and the blanket fell free onto her lap, only to be shoved further forward by her bare belly. The sheer nightgown only just covered her chest, but was tight enough that it’d sooner snap off than fall down. One of the straps had come loose around her shoulder, and the fabric that should be covering her tummy was pinned between her boobs and her paunch.
Yet the first thing she did was take a giant anaconda bite of her teeny snack cake, putting one hand to her cheek and the other on her tummy while she made small happy noises and loudly chewed the sweet.
Darling reached over, resting his hand over hers. His fingers tightened between the gaps in hers, lightly pinching her tummy. And she smiled, absolutely shameless.
“How generous…” Mero grumbled, taking another cake, and then deciding she wanted the last, piling them on her lap. “Do you have any idea what time it is?” she then asked.
Miia blinked at her. She puckered her lips and looked questioningly over to Darling, who raised his hands in a noncommittal gesture. “Ummmm…” She twisted around, searching near her hips with her hands while still feeding herself with her tail.
As she looked, Mero appreciated just how much the girl had grown. It was becoming increasingly hard to see any semblance of muscle beneath Miia’s layers of curvaceous dough. It had only been a week since they had been shopping and to the gym, but it seemed almost like those trips had created the opposite of the intended effect.
Miia was larger than ever. Another handful of pounds packed onto her frame, focused in her thickening scales and her flabby tum. Her natural hourglass figure didn’t seem like it would be lasting much longer now that her boobs comfortably rested on her belly, and a slight pinch at the waist marked the beginning of very grabbable lamia love handles.
Her shedding skin was also spreading. The small white crack had become wider along with her tail, and it looked as if she’d been picking at the fringes. Mero tried to remember if it caused any discomfort to the lamia… if it were anything like her mermaid tail, it was a very compromising position, but it was best to leave it alone until the itching became unbearable.
It was astounding to take in. The girl was quite literally outgrowing her own skin, her tail plumping outward nearly as quick as her tummy, yet she seemed to be almost enjoying it!
Though… Mero was hardly one to judge. After last week, she hadn’t been to the gym either. In fact, she was actively avoiding it, wanting very much not to run into that belligerent shark mermaid again. Even worse was the letter she received from her mother…
Miia raised her hand in triumph. “Aha!” she shouted, holding up her phone. “Got it! It is currently…” she clicked on the screen.
Nothing happened.
She clicked it again, holding it up to her eyes. “Oh… it’s dead… aheh…” she giggled and shrugged, dropping it back on the couch.
“You were up all night watching videos again, eh?” Darling asked.
“Maybe…”
Mero cleared her throat. “It’s nearly one in the afternoon,” she told her. “The others are going be here shortly.”
Miia stared at her blankly. “T-the others?” she asked.
“Don’t tell me you forgot!” Mero pouted. “Girls’ night, remember?”
The lamia’s amber eyes went wide. “Oh! Oh, no! I-I didn’t forget, of course not!!”
“Good… I’ve been looking forward to this all week.”
Miia laughed, rubbing the back of her head. “Ahehe yeah, no, yeah of course today’s Saturday after all.”
Darling coughed. “It’s Sunday,” he whispered.
“Sunday! Right!” Miia sat up straighter. She tugged the nightgown down over her well fed tummy and cast the blanket aside.
Watching her unfurl from so close gave Mero the feeling of watching a great wave passing overhead in the ocean. There was so much swell and power in that movement. The gravity of her long chubby body was pulling Mero inward. She realized she was sitting on the edge of her chair when Miia came before her so close Mero could almost poke the lamia’s tum with her nose. “Well, what are we gonna be doin’ then?”
Mero looked up from soft curves. Her eyes got stuck, but only for a moment, on Miia’s breasts. The words ‘G cup’ were whispered through her mind. “Ahem,” the princess coughed, righting her vision to Miia’s eyes. “Yes, well… wait, do you not have something planned?”
Miia bobbed over to one side. “Well, I was thinking that you guys would come over!” she grinned.
“… Yes, and?” Mero questioned. “Do what?”
Miia looked from side to side. Then she turned to the room at large.
“Don’t look at me,” Darling raised his hands. “I’ve got no clue. I’d cook but someone didn’t tell me we were having guests, and the same someone seems to have emptied our fridge.”
Miia sweated over a nervous laugh.
“Really, now!” Mero huffed, folding her hands over her lap. “You did forget!”
“I didn’t forget about girls’ night!” Miia shuffled back and forth uncomfortable. “I just… forgot what day today was…”
Mero frowned. “Well, we had best begin forming ideas. Darling,” she turned, “do you have anything to suggest?”
For a moment, Darling just stared at her. Then his dark eyes blinked, and he looked down towards his lap. “Huh,” he remarked.
“What?” Mero asked. “Did I say something to offend?”
“No, no,” he shook his head, looking back up to her. “It’s just… well, you called me ‘Darling.’ Not, ‘Master.’”
“Oh…” Mero paused, “I suppose that I have.” She raised her hands, pressed together. “I’ve been thinking of you as Darling all morning, I hadn’t even noticed.”
Miia was humming, her round hips shaking back and forth in a small dance, quite delighted with herself.
Mero lightly smacked her on her scales. “Yes, yes, that’s all well and good, but we need ideas! They’ll be arriving soon, and we don’t know what we’re doing!”
Miia’s hum became a stammer. “W-well, we could stay in, right? We don’t really have to go out.”
“Miia, you don’t have anything to do here, for a group that is our size.”
The lamia rapidly spun, the fattest part of her tail smacking the side of Mero’s tail. “Darling, can we get a TV?!” she waved her hands like kitten paws at her husband.
“N-now?” he asked. “I mean, uhh, I guess? But aren’t we going out?”
“You can’t come,” Mero said, feeling the coldness of her envy creeping into her stalwart denial. “It’s girls’ night. That would defeat the purpose.”
“I guess that’s true…” he frowned.
“Besides, girls’ night needs more than one tv!”
“Well what do you want to do?!”
Mero frowned. “I didn’t plan anything! You were supposed to!”
Their voices were getting louder, the two girls growing more and more heated with one another. A flash of fang and the smack of a flipper came out as they verbally clashed before the doorbell rang and all of the air was sucked out into the cold vacuum of the winter afternoon.
