We knew this would crash & burn...

I feel like it's been forever since I've come on here with a life update. I know that I need to catch up on here and plan to do so this week. I've been having lots of pool days to stockpile content to try and have pool videos all year long.
Last week, my boss instantly terminated everyone's job at my location because he contractually lost the business. I had no idea he didn't own the company. A week before that, someone came into my workplace looking for my boss . The whole thing was weird. I just knew what was happening. I texted my boss to let him know he was about to get served. I was right, but he stayed quiet about the whole thing.
As of today, I am still struggling to get my bonus (commission) paid in full. I got him to finally agree over text, but he made sure to tell me that I wasn't "owed the money." I will now have to waste even more time trying to get him to post the payment on the payroll sheet. For someone who pulled the rug out from under 3 of his employees while personally having A LOT OF MONEY, he sure is incredibly cheap over $250.
You all have heard bits and pieces. We all knew this day would come when everything would crash and burn. But I loved my job. I felt like I was born to do this job. I loved evolving my coordinator. I was sad to hand over the keys to the original owners who openly made fun of me. (More on that another time...)
At the same exact time, I CLOSED ON A HOME! Sure, I'm a bit more scared of the mortgage payment, but the happiness remains. I may have to get a job, but I'll push for part-time work because making content remains my passion. Right now, I'm trying to move everything and clean and decorate and yadda yadda yadda - haha!
Last month, at my (former) job, I was asked to go full-time. Most people would be forced to accept that offer even if they didn't like their boss. I was able to say NO because of you guys always showing up to support my content! <3 I cannot thank you enough.
Cheers to new beginnings! I saved so much from each paycheck that I feel hopeful about the process. August is my birthday month too! Buckle up, baby, next month is a party! <3

I don't think many people would be able to break this news in a post that feels so positive! I agree that, though we would be so much poorer if you had less time to make the content we love, no-one could blame you if you put your own future security first (particularly as you're at the start of an exciting new chapter) - but I guess putting this all to one side wouldn't be true to what you love to do either?

I donβt think we want me in a more stable job. That would mean full-time corporate and not content creation. π But I know what you mean about this past side job being a wild rollercoaster!

Youβre very sweet! Iβll be OK. I just always share my life and honest thoughts on here. Iβm on track with content, so people can join the party whenever they please. But I do think Iβm more spacey and stressed while I move my things. Iβm hoping that never shows on a video, but I might seem distant and take a few days to respond. :)
