We didn't see her find her mom until today. We've just gotten bits and pieces of her backstory along the way. :)

When did she find her mom? Is that in a previous strip? My dad passed on dementia a few years ago. He was being taken care of by other members of the family, but in his last year, they couldn't shoulder the burden anymore. He was violent at times, as the dementia ate away at the parts of his brain that ran self-restraint. So I'm very sympathetic to Cassie's situation here.

Mental powers almost always have their dark side; the adding of Alzheimer's is a terrifying twist, really. Knowing Thea, she's got a hidden agenda, but it's clear poor Cassie can't keep this up
