Let Me Drive the Boat! (DevLog #1)

However, we are not done. There is still a ton of work that needs to be completed to turn this into a 100% complete game. Here's an unorganized list:
- New gameplay mechanics
- Better mod tools by building the tools right into the game
- A community mod database where anyone can upload mods (lenient, but still has quality assurance)
- UI Overhaul
- Every outfit will have a side quest attached to it
- Listen to girl sounds in the gallery menu
- Video tutorials on how to build your own mods
- New code for character art (we need to accommodate for more layers)
- Add Queen's backstory
And each bullet point there could have a list of its own.
The reason why I wanted to finish the main story first is because I hate leaving people on a cliffhanger. It feels scummy. Also, it's very stressful trying to write dialogue and push new features out at the same time. This year, the artists and my writing have carried us to where we are today. With the writing out of the way, it's finally time to give me back the programming wheel and let me drive us into a future filled with more features and polish.
It's going to be hard to track what I'm working on at all times, I can't say, "I'm going to do this first and then this", so I will be doing lots and lots of dev logs. I won't leave you guys out of the loop! (and I still have to go back and answer all those questions you have asked from the Q&A session!)
I'll leave you guys with an update of what Zen and I are working on right now:
New Clothes Layers & Code
Working with Zen, we've noticed that Queen's Brothel could greatly benefit from a better layering system for the clothes. Zen creates these amazing looking outfits, but my current code isn't helping us reach our full potential. We have came up with a plan that will standardize our clothes layering system for both our team and for modders:
Looks confusing, but try to imagine each bullet point as a Photoshop layer or layer group. Setting up the layers this way will let us create entirely new bodies for the girls and STILL be able to easily change any of the other layers above. The new notable layers are the Messy Hair, Hair Bangs, Makeup Smears and Blush layers.
Messy Hair - After the girls duke it out, we're going to give them messy hair! This will be a great addition to add a little bit of polish and simulation into the game.
Hair Bangs - If you've worked with the girl assets in the past, you might have run across the issue where the girl's hair layer is actually below the face layer. That makes having bangs that go in front of the girl's face impossible! Adding this optional layer will let us create cool new hairstyles without having to worry about the girl's face layers getting in the way.
Makeup Smears - Along with the messy hair, we thought it would be pretty cool to have a smeared makeup layer after the girls battle the clients.
Blush - We would like to have a separate face layer that can be used to make the girls blush. Having it be separate lets us use all of the existing facial expressions and still have them blushing underneath.
That's about it for now! Zen and I are still working on this part and I will let you know when we're done! If you have any questions, please ask below!

Dude i've wanted to put an endless tower in this game for so long! You read my mind !

Maybe you could add like a end game dungeon. So that way we can still enjoy the game. Also you could add more cloths and give us a reason to keep playing. Kinda like a endless tower. Game is very fun, but once the stories over it needs something to keep people playing.
