Status Update - 9/13/20

Mods Page
The mods page will have a list of mods you can download. I have two examples already created.
Clicking a mod takes you to this page:
Now we have two options here. Downloading and uploading mods is already built into the game, but I have created a database to store all the mods. A database means that I'm able to get the mod data while in game.
In Game Mod Menu
Those same mods you will find on the /mods page will now be available in game. You can enable them with one click of a button, without having to download anything. Enabling them in game does not mean they will stay downloaded on your system.
(For developers who care) - I found out the Phaser engine lets you add DOM elements to the game. I'm now able to switch my versions of a scrollable container into an actual HTML container which means MUCH better scrolling for containers like the gallery and clothes. Also maybe I can create better buttons using HTML & Bootstrap instead of creating images for each button. It'll save game space as well!
I had to change the way the downloadable version of the game works now that I am working with local files. If you guys remember, the game used to have a bunch of useless stuff in the .zip folder, so I had changed the game to be one .exe. Unfortunately we'll have to go back to the .zip style download because the .exe is currently creating a temporary folder to run the game, but now we're going to have to work with the game directory.
There are two important folders here, but let's start with the mods folder. Those mods you download from the website can be put into the mods folder and they will automatically be enabled when you launch the game.
Saves Folder
The saves folder will have your game's save files in it and they will be loaded when the game launches. This is the same as importing game saves manually by copy and pasting the data, but now you get to keep a file on your computer. In the example below, I only have 1 save file and when I click "Save" in game it generates the save file.

Main Menu
I wanted to update the main menu to be better, but this has been a process the artist and I have been going back and forth on.
Here is a rough that we are starting to like.
The theme is going to be the inside of the brothel. So the game starts and the camera fades into the main menu. Queen will be standing on the right side of the menu and you (the customer) have a few options.
News
The news board in the back will have anything new related to the game. I wanted a section people can look at when they boot up the game, and it helps to have some important links there as well.
Mods
We decided on the mods button being potions. The reason why we chose potions is that, if you are a customer at Queen's Brothel and you want modify the girl's bodies then the girls would drink potions to fit your needs. A pretty cool idea.
Menu
What's on the menu? You are a customer at the brothel, and you want to see what the brothel offers, well then open the menu and see what's in store! Clicking the 'Menu' book button will open up a two page book that has all the New Game / Load Game / Save Files / Import Save / Export Save buttons. We can do some quirky stuff like label Save File 1 as "Blowjob" because you are technically reading a menu for the brothel. I don't have an example picture for this yet, but I'll be sure to post it as soon as everything is colored.
Since Queen is watching you read the news / mods / menu we can add some voice lines to make her say some cool stuff. For example, if you click the 'Mods' button maybe she'll say something like, "Enhancements huh? I thought I was good as is." Or if you click save file #1 which is labeled 'Blowjob' maybe she'll say something like, "One blowjob. I'll make this quick."
Anyways, there's a lot of cool stuff we can do with the new main menu. I really want it in the next version of the game, but if it takes too long maybe we'll stick with the current one for a little longer.
In Game Dialogue Editor
Creating the dialogue editor made me realize I can probably get a working version of it IN game. Not only that, having the editor be in game will also let me work with all the in game quests and dialogue. So you could technically change the quest dialogue of the game and then go play the quest. A pretty cool idea I'll keep in the back log for now.
Thinking about Mechanics
I have been spending a lot of time reevaluating what the core gameplay should be like. I left a status update earlier talking about having multiple girls and all this cool stuff, but it still doesn't solve the core gameplay loop problem I'm having.
I'm just going to leave some ideas below, but don't consider them final.
No stamina
I don't think stamina is important in the game. It's basically a health bar. I don't think I want the girls to "faint" if they lose all their health.
Imagine if we replace stamina with cleanliness. For example, having sex with clients increases the girl's dirtiness. The dirtier they are, the slower the client's cum meter increases. The player will have to take the girls off the client and wait for them to "clean" themselves up before going back in.
Time limit
If we choose to go down the 'No Stamina' route, then we'll need a way to lose. I feel like a time limit for each encounter makes sense. Clients can technically get bored if the girls take too long to make them cum so they will leave. That would be considered a failure and the player would either miss out on gold or they would lose the battle altogether.
Pick a body part
I think the player should be able to pick body parts again. I want to take back my previous thoughts where I was headed towards a "the client picks what he wants" approach. I think if we're running the brothel, the girls would have to impress the clients with their work, instead of the clients doing whatever they please with the girls.
I think we can go one step further. Instead of just picking a body part, what if clicking the body part again speeds up the interaction? Faster sex means the client will cum faster. But how do we stop the player from spam clicking each client? Well what if there is a certain BPM you have to click the button to speed up? You will have the ability to ramp up the sex speed, but it's going to cost you about 5 seconds of your time which you could have used to handle the other girls. Now the game becomes more about management.
Gang bang
With the mechanics above, we have the ability to let one girl take on, up to, 4 guys. One for each body part. Their cleanliness will suffer greatly, but they can keep the guy's cum meter from decreasing if the other girls need a few seconds to clean themselves up. I also can't help but think Suki's new ultimate ability would be her taking on all the clients in the brothel for 10 seconds without any cleanliness repercussions. Also hey, maybe the goblin clients don't mind the girl's cleanliness? The goblins are all about gang bangs and mud. That would be a cool client specific mechanic.
Clothes = Quests
I'm trying to find a way to create unique side quests for the game. You can only write about Queen getting fucked so many times. I'm thinking clothes should unlock side quests.
For example, you just unlocked Scarlett's 'King' boss outfit. She has buttons on her shirt and a skirt. Creating a side quest that has dialogue about her clothes is a lot easier than if she was naked. Like of course guys would have sex with her if she's naked, but with her clothes on maybe the guys want to cum on her cleavage? Maybe Scarlett lets guys grab her breasts through her cleavage? Maybe she keeps her clothes on because the quest revolves around her looking good in public, but she's secretly letting guys lift her skirt up to fuck her when no one is looking? There's way more possibilities when we're generating quests based on clothes rather than creating quests and then giving out clothes as the reward.
Story Updates
I want to mention why I haven't released a story update yet. Since we're getting closer to the end of the main story, literally everything is a spoiler now. I can't release new artwork either because it's too spoilery. How do I solve this issue? The next update has to be free. If we want everyone on the same page, I have to push the story to the spoilery section for both free and patron players. I will have the patron version a little farther than the free version, but the free version must still be far enough in the story to know what is going on.
Is the game going to be finished after?
Oh dear god no. I want to finish the main story so that people have a true start to finish in game. There's still so much space available for side quests and mechanic changes. The UI needs work. We need maps, animations, more clothes. I'm finishing the main story because I am not going to edge people with story updates for profit (*nudges the other adult game creators*).

one thing interesting for me to see in game, maybe in the next update, is a new brothel side where we can put our girls going whit each other, i think that will b fun to play that part as a ( sleeping to recovery stamina mode+)

Sounds awesome, except for one thing: Personally I'm not into the nomenclature of getting dirty, because it feels like sex is portrayed as something bad that makes you dirty, which does not fit with the games vibe. I would more be into something like "lust". You could have it increase and the girls need a break after their orgasm or decrease (because maybe they do not like what they do) and they need a break to get into the mood again. You could even combine it so you have to balance it so neither of these scenarios happens and every girl has different taste in guest types, intercourse type and speed, (dis)likes cum... so their lust meter changes differently. Could make for interesting battle dynamics.

Right, but I'm switching the challenge from Stamina management to time management. You have 30 seconds to fuck a client, but your obstacle would be how clean your girls are, and how quickly you can fuck the client while also watching all the other girls. Having a girl faint and not be able to use again is bugging me. Having a girl temporarily stop fucking to clean herself up sounds more fun.
I hoped more new characters will be added like “devil girl or angel girl” something like that
