The biggest bottleneck for the game is animations. I will NOT be stopping the creation of unique girl animations. I would like to pivot our direction for animations temporarily to help create better gameplay mechanics and after we are finished, we will go back to creating the animations for all the main girls.
Here's the plan:
The current battle system plays an animation for the girls each time you have sex with a client. The animation area is huge and does not offer any sort of gameplay enhancing experience other than it telling you what the girls are doing.
- Remove all unique girl animations from the battles
- Replace the battle menu to have 6 big "rooms" that girls have sex in (instead of clicking the clients at the top, you will click the rooms)
Remove all unique animations? DPMaker are you insane?!
Yes I am. The animations during battles will be replaced with generic blowjob, vaginal, anal, tittyfuck animations. Since we have less space now that we have filled the entire menu with separate rooms, we would play the generic animations inside of the separate rooms so that the player knows what body part is being used.
How do we bring the uniqueness back in to the fights? Images of how the girl is feeling during the fight. If she is having a hard time pleasing the client, a picture of her looking upset will appear. This would pop up for a few seconds and then disappear.
So what has happened so far?
We have removed the unique animations and replaced them with generic animations. To make up for it, we will add unique pop up images. We have negated the need of animations to introduce more girls to the brothel.
What's possible after we make these changes? / Why is this so important?
- Animations would no longer be a bottleneck.
- We could introduce more girls to the brothel
- Instead of the core gameplay loop just revolving around our 6 girls, it could also be about buying and managing other girls
- Limiting the battles to 6 girls means the player would have to create a party of their choice
Selling girls for money. The player's goal would be to buy girls and level them up so that they can sell them to clients. "I'll give you 500 gold if you give me a girl from Greenhaven that is good at anal." Our main girls would not be sellable to clients, their method of making gold is working at the brothel.
Party Management:
Because we have more girls available, the player would need to manage their party at the brothel. When you open the brothel, there would be a menu to buy girls and manage your party. All of the main story girls would be free because they live in Queen's house. They would be special and unique, offering ultimate abilities and unique sound effects and everything. All other girls would be ones that you buy and sell to clients. The limit would be 6 girls, so the player would choose whether they want to spend their day leveling up the main girls to progress the story line or leveling up the random girls to make some money.
Long term ideas:
This change opens up so many doors for future enhancements. Here's a few ideas I wrote down:
- Unlock rare girls by beating bosses
- Create a character creation tool to help artists put their own girls into the game
- Create quests that rely on having a non-main girl in your party (ex: Leon wants to watch Suki and Thisa make out, so the player has to buy Thisa for that quest)
- Bring back specific buildings to help level up certain body parts
- Introduce brothel upgrades for higher rarity clients
- Bring back a weekly/monthly brothel payment (Still don't like this idea that much, but it gives the player a reason to grind)
- Only a select few girls are available to buy for X amount of days. Maybe the player has to pay gold to "re-roll" a new batch of girls? This sounds too much like auto-chess LOL
Roadmap for the next updates:
I am not getting started on these gameplay changes soon. It will be another big update in a few months. Right now I'm focusing on finishing the storyline of the game. The next update will introduce the final main girl, we are finishing up the art for her now, sorry for the delay. No spoilers, but we will finish the new girl's quest line, there will be one arc after that, then the girls will finally meet the final boss.

tldr; The battle menu will be changing. You will be able to recruit more girls to the brothel. The 6 main girls will be special, all other girls will be sellable to clients for lots of gold!

Maybe you finish the animations for Queen first? The version on here still doesn't have anal or titfuck scenes... That should be done way before all this other stuff.

The main draw is the hentai, which you will be rewarded with after the gameplay. Which are the animations that will be played after you progress through difficult quests. I'm not making a hentai gallery, it still needs to be a game that rewards you.

Hold on. We are finishing all the animations for the girls regardless of this change. There is no reduction in rewarding content, just a shift in where the animations are placed in the game.

not sure im on board with this. First up, the new ideas sound exactly like Breeding farm. Also, I feel like the animations during the scenes are the main draw to the game. why reduce the amount of "rewarding" content, for gameplay that just leads to the same content. All it means is players see less of it overall. In addition to that, making the animators focus on gameplay instead seems a bit silly. the main draw is the hentai, not the gameplay.
