Honestly this. Expansion is great, I love it. Managing to work in *skillful* expansion, oh man. It’s so rare but it’s so so so good. I’d pay for a series of comics based off stuff like this. It’s still cheesecake for sure, but with a really really interesting hook.

This is a genuinely interesting concept, and I'm finding myself invested in the actual fight, and their strats. I like the idea of controlled growth, kinda like how shonnen fights often gradually escalate power levels.
