A Bit About Conri [Spoilers]

These screen shots should explain why I think Conri is an interesting character, but if you find it too long to read, I think the sum of it is... he changes his tone to whomever he speaks to so you never really know his true intentions or nature. The one most familiar with his true self might be Palmier but even that is a little skewed because Palmier and Conri met when Palmier was extremely vulnerable, butt naked, covered head-to-toe in his mother's dried blood or viscera, and crying non-stop like a baby.
The witch relied a lot on Conri to get his shit together back then, and the feel of an all powerful God kneeling and whining under Conri's feet really got to his head (dick). Hope this explained their dynamic a bit more.
Fun fact unlike Kor whose ink was in her blood, Palmier magical ink is from his tears so his actual tears are pitch black. The fake tears he showed in the demo are just a minor illusion he uses to his mess with people. His blood has some ink in it, but it's too diluted with the other witches blood and his own to be used as Kor ink.

Thank you, as always, for sharing such incredible art and scripts! Personally, I have a really hard time forgiving characters who take choices and endings away from others—but at the same time, I find them irresistibly fascinating. Realizing that Conri might be that kind of character has honestly been thrilling in the best (and worst) way. That said… has Palmier already used up all of his lifetime luck with men during his relationship with Arshem? Reading the scene where he so vulnerably confides about his “Friend” to a man who clearly doesn’t know how to love in an ordinary way (looking at you, Conri) genuinely broke my heart. I actually teared up. Palmier, please… you really need to be happy someday. Soon. You deserve it. Also, I’m sorry if any of this sounds awkward—English isn’t my first language, but I really wanted to share how strongly this scene affected me.

Also!! omg, conri's dynamic with palmier is so fascinating. palmier always seems to be doing his best to isolate after what happened with his family,, i hope we get to see more of these two bicker
