I'm taking another stab at it.
This three parter will tell the tale of how Maxi - pictured here with her former boss at Basalisk Industries - came to work for Sinclaire Global.

What if it's Maxi's fault? Like, things are normal when dhe starts somewhere, and a few science 'accidents' later her boss is a foot taller with a penchant for playing with the chemicals. I strongly suspect that won't be the case, but I found the thought experiment amusing.
