It's during their egg form the juice they produce has the sweetness inside~while the flesh (jelly) inside might have the sweet taste. It's because it's being soaked in the juice that makes it has its flavor. When the jellyfish is fully grown (can grow around 250 feet) while they can still be eaten, the taste is bland. XD

would that also mean that the flesh of that species of jellyfish is also somewhat sweet?
