I finf it does yes, the trick is to let it dry stuck down where your rolled and for things like bases you will see no real shrinkage

I tried another brand of air dry clay and got about 1/16in shrinkage per inch (so about 1/4in off of either side of a 4in square). Im guessing the DAS is much less shrinkage than that?

According to Google: "With DAS, no baking is required – it simply dries when you leave it out to air. Drying time is roughly 24 hours per centimetre of thickness."

How long does DAS take to cure? I bought a block of it a month ago, but haven't tried it yet.

I'm a fan of experimenting with new techniques. PVA is cheap, so the biggest risk would seem to be clogging up your roller with PVA. If you have any of our stamps from past releases, that might be a good way to do an initial test without risking a whole roller...using just a small chunk of clay to avoid wasting it if it doesn't work out. Might have to look more into that!

Thanks. Those are the reasons I had for getting it. Years ago I saw Marco Frisoni do a video on using DAS for basing. I can't remember if it was for your rollers or not, but he mixed (by hand, what a mess) a liberal amount of PVA into his DAS before rolling it out. He said it gave even more elasticity to the clay when it dried. I'm not sure I want to try such a messy, hard to clean up mixture or not. Thoughts on that idea?

It's DAS air-drying clay. Kneading it in your hands for a minute or two can help make it softer.

DAS is an excellent option! We use it a lot. We used it in this video :D. It's great quality, resistant to shrinking and cracking, and doesn't require baking or anything to cure.

I'm curious about what clay you're using as well. It looks so nice and malleable

What polymers/clays do you recommend? I have a big block of DAS but was wondering if that's the best choise or not.
