Commissions: Young lady vs. delinquent girl
🕑 Added 2021-05-25 16:07:05 +0000 UTCThis is an English version of a delinquent girl vs. a young lady.
Thank you for your patience.
It's difficult to translate a long story.
This is a manga I drew on commission.
Set in late 19th century London.
It is a confrontation between a delinquent girl and a young lady.
Late 19th Century East End London
What is it?
Two pence for such a poor flower?
Instead of selling such things, how about I introduce you to a more lucrative business?
What the hell are you guys doing?
If you have a problem with that, let's hear it.
Huh?You're gonna play with me?
We're negotiating.
Buy the flowers for four pence and get the hell out of here.
I'm not going to negotiate with a little girl like you.
The flowers are going up in price.
Negotiations have broken down.
Then let's duel!
Annie's getting into trouble again.
So you're Annie's dueling partners?
Can you guys win?
What the hell, guys?
Come on, come on, it's a duel between Annie and the thugs.
Bet, bet, bet!
I'm betting on you, Annie!
Me too!
If someone doesn't bet on something other than Annie, there won't be a bet.
It's two guys and a girl.
Who wants to bet against a thugs?
Then I'll take my chances and bet the men ten pence!
Go!
Don't be nervous!
A duel? A bet?
What the hell is this?
Well, good!
I'm gonna blow this little bitch away!
Winner! Annie Maybrick!
Pay me six pence a flower and fuck off!
The price is going up again.
It's been a while since I've had an easy opponent and I've made a fortune.
The word got out, and there are fewer and fewer people challenging me these days.
Annie, Mary, we're in trouble!
What's happening?
Strange people brought their landlord...
They want me to leave now because I bought this house.
Stop it!
We'll have nowhere to live!
What the hell is wrong with you? Hannah.
Annie.
My landlord suddenly wants me to leave.
What do you mean?
There is a man who wants to buy this house.
It's much better than you guys who are behind on your rent payments.
What?
This house?
Who's going to buy it?
It is Lady Isabella, the daughter of the Hamilton family.
Yes, it is.
I bought this raggedy house.
As part of a charitable effort to improve the poverty and crime infested East End London.
We will renovate this place to shelter needy children and provide education and job training...
I plan to turn this place into such a facility.
So please get out of here.
That's crazy!
You're contradicting yourself by kicking us orphans out to save the poor kids!
I'm not doing anything wrong.
I can leave the rest to Scotland Yard...
But you guys do have a point.
So let's do this.
I've heard rumors about you.
You are the leader of a group of delinquent girls who use violence to organize negotiations.
Interesting.
Let's play with me.
If I win, you must leave immediately.
If you win, I will return this house to you.
A young lady like you, are you serious?
Of course.
Since we're doing this, let's make it a 5-on-5 team match.
Next Sunday, the place is on the street in front of here.
It's a street fight.
Your way of saying...
Let's go to war.
Sunday afternoon.
The day of the duel.
What's going on?
I heard that Annie and some young lady are going to duel.
We're almost done setting up the ring.
Good thing the road was not even paved.
It's the duel of the century between our Annie and the bourgeois lady!
Bet on it, bet on it!
Is that young lady insane?
Can she put up a decent fight?
It must be the whim of the rich.
You're really gonna do this, aren't you?
Of course.
Each of the five players will fight one on one, and the first one to win three matches will win.
The rules are that anything with bare hands is acceptable.
If the fighter faints or gives up, it's settled.
From now on, Lady Isabella and her team of maids and...
Annie and her team of delinquent girls will play a five-on-five team match!
Spearhead!
Young lady's team Irene Williams.
Bad Girls Team
Irina Barnes!
What is it?
There's a little maid here.
That maid, I can't tell which one is the poor man.
How can a lady's maid fight in the first place?
At least bring me someone who looks stronger.
That's not a good bet...
I was orphaned at birth and grew up on the streets!
And they put me in an orphanage, but I didn't study, and I was so small...
I tried to be a maid, but no one would hire me!
Even though I was like that, the lady hired me!
For the sake of the Lady, I'm going to win!
winner
Irina Barnes!
Hey!
Quick, patch her up.
I'm sorry, mistress.
It's okay.
You did your best.
First, the delinquent girl team won the first match.
Second Spearhead
Young lady's team
Jean Campbell
Bad Girl Team
Martha Evans
It's hard for the maids to keep up with the whims of the young lady.
I've lost my Sunday afternoon off.
Well, yeah.
But it's okay, because I'm interested in this kind of thing too.
I want to be a writer in the future.
So I wanted to experience a lot of things.
For example, punching a human as hard as you can!
You...
a-ha-ha
I haven't been hit with a goo since my dad back home.
Jean has fainted!
Winner.
Martha Evans!
This is... It means to faint...
She seems to be smiling...?
It was kind of a creepy one.
Well done!
They are one win away.
The bad girl team has already won two games!
One more win and it's all over!
As expected.
The maids don't want to win.
They're going to try to finish before the lady's match.
This is not a good bet.
Don't take it too lightly.
Next ...
3rd match.
Lady's Team
Elizabeth Bennett
She's a very special governess!
Bad Girls Team
Hanna Mitra
That stance...
A woman boxing?
Elizabeth was originally the child of a nobleman and a maid.
She know how to use horses, swords, and even boxing.
Wait...
You're a nobleman?
Settlement!
The Winner
Elizabeth... Bennett!
It was an epic battle!
You two were amazing!
The lady's team won, and things got interesting!
Mary's next.
Get it over with!
Miss...I'm already 28 years old.
Next up, the co-captain match!
Lady's team, ladies' maid Mary Westall.
Bad Girls Team
Catherine. Baldwin
Let me ask you something. Are you going to win?
If you win, it's the young lady's turn.
Don't worry about it.
I've been ordered to fight for real.
Then I'll do it without reservation!
Winner
Mary... Westall!
This is an upset!
Well done!
The match is now even!
Victory or defeat will be decided by a showdown between the captains!
You were... You could still fight, couldn't you?
That's not true.
It's true that I'd like to see Annie beat your daughter to a pulp.
You won. Are you okay?
I also think that sometimes lady needs to be hurt.
Finally, a forbidden showdown!
The lady of the house and the leader of the bad girls!
The daughter of one of London City's leading businessmen. Isabella Hamilton!
East End London's most powerful Annie Maybrick the bad girl!
You think it's safe for me to do this for real?
Of course.
I won't forgive you if you cut corners.
Whoa!
Annie, no mercy!
Miss, are you okay?
Weird...?
There's no response to my punches.
She's rolling with the punches.
It's still one-sided.
But lady is tough.
Annie, watch out!
She's after something!
Geez!
What the hell was that?
That's our Lady Isabella!
What's wrong?
Are you done?
What was that move?
Are you learning something?
The one I just used is a fighting technique called Baritsu, which I learned from one of the detectives.
