So I'm working on the Homeworld 3 video and it's definitely giving me a lot more to unpack than I thought it would, but in the backburner I'm thinking of the next video but am honestly stumped since my brain is consumed by what I'm seeing in Homeworld and some other things going on. These are all coming in the next while anyways, it's more what you think should be first.
So the options are as follows:
Darkest of Days. The next of the time travel games. This one never went on sale since Activision likely forgot about it, and it was delisted from most storefronts a few years back. It has some wild toneshifts.
SOMA. The next of the Frictional games. Big brain time, and also very forgetful, slow main character time. I don't know if this one would feel refreshing or brain hurt in a different way after Homeworld 3.
Cryptmaster. This is a cool new dungeon crawler game that came out recently that's really unique, but unfortunately sales don't seem fantastic from the outside even though reviews are good so this could be a good one to swooce right in for.
System Shock (the remake). The 1.2 patch is out with a LOT of new enemy behaviors, bugfixes, tweaks, and a new ending section. I was waiting on this before doing the video, and now could be the time.
Multiple options allowed if you can't decide, go for it!

Hi Mandy, I was curious: when you are editing, do you do a pass where you only listen to the audio and not look at the screen? Sometimes I'm washing dishes just listening to old vids, and I swear you're making sure the soundscape stands on its own.

I was never able to play darkest of days because of compatibility issues I was too lazy to solve so I'm extremely interested to see what it was all about.

If you do Cryptmaster then after that you should do that one other game that Akupura Games is the publisher for :) or wait for its 2nd DLC coming out soon

Begging you to do Cryptmaster. Such an insanely unique game and the dev is super cool and interactive with people who stream and talk about their game online. So much work has clearly gone into that game, let alone just in the shit ton of voice lines, the art, the mechanics, but they're also just cool people on top of it. Needs that signal boost that only someone like you can provide.

I'm torn between System Shock Remake and Cryptmaster. I haven't finished the remake yet but I'm impressed so far. I saw Cryptmaster pop up on my Steam queue and was impressed by the art style and concept, I still need to try the demo before pulling the trigger. - Edit- I tried the demo and was so impressed I bought it. Would be really interested to hear your thoughts on it.

I like it when you meme an indie game and it sells better. Its almost as funny as seeing a games update patch open with "hey hey people" and realizing a sseth video must have dropped.

Pull a Seth, and do Cryptmaster. He keeps on digging up obscure games and making reviews on them. Like drop kicking roosters, taming monkeys to get in on the begging industry, or impregnating a serpent which angers your wife.

I have fond memories of Darkest of Days so I'm a bit biased, but Cryptmaster is my runner-up. Dungeon crawlers are awesome. I think you'd make a great SOMA video though.

i remember hearing about Darkest of Days on some double digit views youtube review when i was younger and finding it through certain means, I remember it being a decent time and an interesting idea. I wonder how much of that was kid-brain
