The future of *AllStars* and the Producer Tier
🕑 Added 2023-02-14 00:04:32 +0000 UTCThe creation of the Producer Tier on Patreon had two goals:
1. Give an opportunity for fans that wanted to support us more finacially.
2. Allow people an opportunity to be more involved with our productions.
And thus the Producer Tier was born. The first point was pretty straightforward. But we've never felt like weve been able to deliver on the 2nd point. Our primary way of doing that was through the All-Stars format. A roughly once a quarter game in which the Producer Tier got to have some input into creating a scenerio, the armies, the missions, etc for a special episode called All-Stars. (Why all-stars? Who knows. We really don't either.... Steve?)
These were often zany hijinks filled episodes that often loosely resembled a 40k game. They were often a hit to our supporters (you), but frankly rarely a hit on YouTube as a whole.
Because of the time involved with us creating these videos and the generally low numbers on Youtube we weren't able to produce these as regularly as we wanted. And so to us it always felt like some of our most dedicated supporters, got very little of any real extra benefit.
With this year and us being able to hire additional editors, we're finally in a place to be able to change that.
As we've stated elsewhere, our current aim is to be able to produce up to two exclusive edited videos a month as well as the weekly live streams. And starting this month, on one of those exclusive videos we'd like to invite the producers to help us craft it together. To be producers on it like weve always intended the tier to be able to do. Though we would no longer call it all-stars, all-stars would live on in spirit, but waaaaay more regular.
To help facilitate this, we will have to move these kind of discussions to Discord. Patreon is not a fantastic way of having lengthy discussion and generating input as much as we love it. So we have created a new Discord Channel called #producer-planning
Were going to kick things off by planning for an upcoming special game between the Votann and the Genestealer cult!

TLDR: All-stars is no more. Kinda. Instead, regular similar shows to be done as exclusive shows. So more producer input on many more shows. All to be done through new discord channel.

Are you required to give input to be apart of the producer tier?
Of course not! We're just excited and grateful that you're supporting us and we want to work with you to create awesome stuff. If you'd rather just chill and observe you are more than welcome to!
Where will all this happen?
Because of the extensive amount of discussion this will create, we will be doing all of this discussion on Discord. We will put up regular reminders about whats coming up, but the polls, input and discussion will all be happening on discord. Theres really no other way to facilitate it on Patreon itself.
