The sense of togetherness diminished.

“I like your priorities,” Caroline cooed, turning to kiss his cheek.
“I’m serious. The first time, I seduced the two of you. Now I kind of like the thought that you’re unwilling. That you have to submit. It’s an unorthodox way of doing things. “You’re serious,” Caroline realized.
“I did say I was,” Brad reminded her.
