'Dumb Shulkie, smart Jen' was a failure every time the comics brought it up; it just doesn't fit this girl. Part of the reason I go for 'mild' bimbification is because it DOESN'T have to mean stupidity, just shallowness and superficiality (such as "like ohmigod, check out those abs on Spidey, right Natalie? I'm totally gonna sneak off with him later"). Who needs their bimbos to be brainless, they're more fun with their wits intact- just tweaked a little.
