Oh. There was room to interpret it as just the highest ranked game for that year. Adding the additional qualification of release year makes sense.

It would be impossible, I'll sort by year, and so each game can only be released in one year. Aka 1999's top game on BGG is the highest ranked that has a 1999 release date. Just lost by one vote though, I'm looking forward to when this one comes around.

What happens for all the years that have the same top ranked game on BGG, do they get multiple entries?
