So now Salia remembers she has a healing ability, though for some reason she only used it a couple second on Felix and not later on. Also unsure why she didn't remember she had one earlier on.

This doesn't work based on what the fog is actually doing, but I suppose that isn't explained well in chapter. I will edit it a bit to have Miria at least notice that it should be a possiblity, try it, and wonder why it's not working.

Stephen, I think she removed the thought worms with absorbtion essence before killing the worms in other people; it seems is either immune to extinguish or is able to precisely control it to kill parasites in her own body.

Extinguish doesn't target the soul directly it works based off the water from the sea of souls which means that if she tried to extinguish the mist she would just kill him. Also it's not very clear if the mist in his lungs contains the soul of the creature so even if she somehow maneuvered a drop of soul water into his lungs to target whatever is in them it might just count as part of his soul.

Fwiw, I had the same thought as Nathan, and it caused enough dissonance to bother my brain for a bit:-p MinE, she killed the thought forms that were in their _brains_, so I don't think that limitation works out - it seems to distinctly target the life force of a single entity.

MinE

The excuse that extinguishing the mist in his lungs would kill his lungs comes to mind. I mean it's not clear how thoroughly extinguish destroys something, but I'm assuming it at least causes complete cell death when it kills something.

Nathan Sto

There's a rather significant plot hole here. Earlier, it was stated that the creature's soul was spread throughout the mist evenly - that's why the extinguish ability couldn't harm it in a reasonable time frame. However, here we see that some of the mist (or at least something alive left by the mist) is hiding in these wounds. Therefore, extinguishing the foreign soul should have been at least considered before trying to re-invent the lost art of healing on the spot. Obviously there are plenty of reasons why this still might not work, but it should have been on the table.

MinE

So the mist merged with them and has become a parasite. I wonder if Miria will find out how to fix this or control the mist. Wonder if the separated mist counts as a creature for her to gain a skill from. P.S Rip

The payoff better be there for all this anticipation that you've been building for her magic...
