Diego Rossi

It all depends on how much broken mana is produced by moving between worlds. And the effects of returning to Earth. "Losing" the back up life you get from immortality (like it happened to Ethan during the manaless room experiment) can be a good reason to limit traveling to Earth.

Diego Rossi

With the rewrite it becomes more comprehensibly "why a farmer village". It was not planned. They were "infected" by specific mana (farmer and hunter) that forced them into some behavior.

MinE

Given how important and dangerous guarding Alice is that [Hidden Guard] has a good chance of reaching immortality if he doesn’t die in the line of duty.

MinE

Can people with tier 2 classes even switch classes around. Assuming they have a system first of the necessary level, what we know about tier 2 classes is the class seed seems to spread to the entire body, so changing classes at the point sounds fatal.

Adleiavde

Some high levels might have done that as well when leveling a new class, especially immortals since they stack xp-boosting perks and achivement, and can use lots of ressources. For instance if ethan were to pick an enchantment related class and focused on it, he'd reach lvl 75 really fast.

Margaret Lloyd

Well at least it's an attempt. So far he doesn't seem to have taught his "student" anything. Ok maybe finding a riding teacher sort of counts.

Enrico Snipes

And that is just what she is about to learn. So it seems like a good career choice for the future

Derek Walker

the phrase “gain 75 levels in a year” doesn’t have to depend on when she got her system. The system looks back 1 year and says oh, level 0, then looks now and says level 75” In practice no one who got the system at the right age will gain 75 levels in a year. So this only really works for Alice, but it can be framed without respect to how old she is. Just time elapsed

MinE

Loyalty perks are a possibility, but whatever country sent them probably only picked people with that particular suicide perk, and if you have a perk like that you're probably ready to use it. Plus they're high level spies, and they know interrogation perks exist.

Sondadir

It's the Doll immortal who refuse contact with non-immortal.

Jonathan Seah

> Alice still ultimately wanted to return home, but with how many people and how many things she would be leaving behind in this world, she wasn’t entirely certain that she wanted to stay on Earth forever, either. Why not both? Alice could become some kind of ambassador between the two worlds... only that would involves insane amounts of politics.

Margaret Lloyd

Actually it is very rare. When it comes to a moment of actual choice few people will actually die for the cause, and even fewer will kill themselves. It's a common trope, and OK for any single character maybe he is one of the fanatical ones, but a large group? And yeah in the context of people and parts of buildings appearing and vanishing in the vicinity there are all kinds of options for an unaccounted village that are no more farfetched.

Enrico Snipes

Spies suiciding is normal, but yeah making a random village is weird

Enrico Snipes

The system probably uses the age as the counter as it probably wasn't designed to consider people gaining the system later in life

Stephen Place

I thought that Ethan’s mother didn’t like meeting potential immortals, but I forgot what was exactly said

Politics!? 🤢 Moar MAGIC

Margaret Lloyd

Why does everyone think this is a spy operation, despite the uselessness of a spy "village" compared to say sending your spies somewhere they can talk to the locals? And then they all flee without even trying a cover story, and suicide when "caught" - something actual spies rarely do tthat likely needs mind control to arrange. I'd suspect something about that site, and so critical too their state/cause it's worth dying to keep it secret a few more days.

Derek Walker

Is it possible she gets an achievement for reaching that in 1 year?

Apoca

You know Ethan... maybe if you let your students concentrate on gaining levels they would reach immortality more often. It seems counterproductive: the moment you think they can reach immortality you start to pull them away to these "essential" things. Not like they wouldn't be able to learn it after reaching immortality

Rickard Gustavsson

Chapter 109.

Rickard Gustavsson

She really should be dedicating some time towards raising her physical stats, even if it's only an hour or two every few days, those extra points could make all the difference in the future..

MinE

I was referring to immortal seed as in the term for someone who’s likely to become an immortal. Actual immortality is a tier 2 thing that can happen anywhere between level 1-25.

MikeL

It is really difficult to find current stats. Do you know which chapter the last one was. Also didn’t Ethan give a range where immortality happens. After 100 I’m sure.

MinE

Level 74 in under a year is terrifying. I wonder if she'll get an immortal seed achievement at level 75. P.S Hopefully she finally gets her last stat to 120. P.S.S She might want to work for those Polylingual achievements since she already has five language skills.
