I agree and I for one think Budding Scientist in Fantasy World is an awesome name. Admittedly I shorten it to Budding Scientist.

I think the fact that class seeds can’t really function as proper/normal mana seeds is the reason the mana seeds don’t get absorbed. Plus either moving the seeds to the head or keeping a class seed in the mana core seem supoptimal.

It's not that much time, for a trail already a night old. If this weren't a novel it likely wouldnt even be relevant. Somebody hiding their trail (and in a world with travel this risky I expect most single travelers try not to be obvious) saw a military camp on top a deserted village 3 miles away last night, and opted to leave the area rather than investigate. Sounds like prudence too me.

An interesting bit here is Alice notices a Fisherwoman magic seed forming that then apparently gets reorganized into a class seed. But she already has two magic seeds that stand independent of their classes for some reason. How are Kinetic and Organic Magic seeds different from Kinetic and Organic Mage classes that don't get absorbed. Can you have multiples of the same seed? If so forming a new copy of the same seed every month is potentially a route to eventually an incredible mana reserve eventually, which she might like to know. Conversely if class and seeds can coexist, can she form an actual Fisherwoman seed now that she has the class? If the class is in fact organizing Fisherwoman mana, whatever that is, and seeds generate mana, could you form a Fisherwoman seed, fill a manaless room with Fisherwoman mana, and power level your Fisherwoman class by sitting in the room and not actually fishing? OK, that's a pretty niche application, but being able to level at the maximum rate your class seed is currently able to convert *all the time* and not just when doing activities related to the class would be pretty amazing.

There is frankly a ridiculous amount of over-discussion on whether to follow the tracks or not - most of the chapter! I am surprised a [Combat Mage] like Ethan who knows the value of quick response spent so much time on it instead of immediate pursuit after the tracks were detected. Caution is fine but being over cautious means losing.

I think any competent publisher would talk you out of it. For historical reasons Alice in (Mathematical Concept)(Place) has been used a [lot] as a title for popularizations about (Mathematical Concept). Having a title that gets your novel confused with a children's book is an issue, but having a title that gets your novel confused with a treatise on number theory is a *deathcurse*. Note that there are already several uses of this very title for a math book e.g. John Bayless (1988) or Neil Kagan (1992), not to mention a fairly well known biography of Carroll titled Lewis Carroll in Numberland. Your current title may not be amazing, but it isn't terrible, is descriptive, and fits right in with other titles in the same genre. Nobody is going to say "Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World" can't possible be an isekai light novel.

Abborre

Or its the sequel. A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World 2: Electric Boogallo. Or er i mean Alice in Numberland

MikeL

Yes the current title perfectly explains the story.

Oops. Yeah, that was a mistake. I got caught up in focusing on getting this week's chapter ready and accidentally put that paragraph in the wrong spot XD. Time seeds cannot be used before they're formed, much like other magic seeds. Fixed!

The Lost Pages

You know... lots of stories do a rewrite. You could totally name this alice in numberland. I think it is quite punny.

Diego Rossi

I agree, it is a great subtitle, or title for one of the books of a series, but the pun is a bit hard to shallow as the name of the whole series.

Eternaly_Lost

The slight revision to Chapter 110 currently has Alice using mana from her Time Seed in testing her perk before she creates the seed in the first place. I suspect that wasn't intended given that it made clear that time mana can't be used to go backwards in time (at least as far as they know). But if any mana seed could be accessed before it was created, I supposed that would be the one that you could do that with.

Alice in Numberland definitely got few chuckles out of me :-) I suppose sometimes it has to feel like that to you.

Sdff

Alice and Wonderland predates LSD. Lewis Carol was weird though. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Carroll

Enrico Snipes

Maybe you could use Alice in Numberland as the chapter title of one of the first few chapters, but i don't think it fits as the book title

Will C

Yeah definitely use it as the name of Volume 1 when you publish it.

bob barker

I don't care for the "numberland" title, especially since alice in wonderland was an LSD-fueled story for children, I would have been far more likely to have passed up on reading the synopsis.

MikeL

If you publish this story eventually, that would be a great name for the first book.
