“How so?” Asked Sallia. I don’t think “asked” needs to be capitalized here.

This is more meant to be a chapter discussing transmigrator philosophy as a whole - due to diminishing returns, it's often eventually quite difficult to farm achievement from a long life, over an extended period of time. And the characters exploring the world and doing stuff is the best way to generate new keyword abilities, especially. Though the discussion about influence being important is correct, and I intend to address this in more detail sometime in the semi-near future. I figure it'll kick it somewhere around the... third (ish) sub-plot of the second world, maybe? If stat rolls don't throw my plans out the window? (which they probably will). For Miria's dream, in chapter 17 she pretty explicitly talks about wanted to explore the ocean for the sake of exploring the ocean. Sure, she thinks it's ALSO a good way to farm Achievement, but that's not necessarily the goal so much as a useful bonus (and a way for her to justify her actions to herself). As for crafting... Sallia would have really struggled to get to advanced crafting. Willpower helps a lot with sitting down and concentrating for long periods of time, and that's pretty helpful with making high grade stuff. Making Advanced grade stuff is also pretty hard without better materials than the island had access to, although Sallia may not have been able to infer that based on information available to her. Those two things would have made it pretty hard for her to advance beyond a certain point in crafting, though she definitely had more Achievement she could have squeezed out than she's estimating she had left. Felix definitely would have gotten a fair bit of Achievement from hunting kills/assists if he had lived long enough, though. He had a lot of untapped Achievement left from being a hunter, which he's definitely underestimating a bit. He's working with what information he has and what he has seen.

You have a point, Maybe they discovered the leveling method for willpower based speed-run builds but not general builds. Without high willpower there's no way Miria would've been able to go so far even ignoring the call of the ocean and the hear. fragments' sideffects, and if they were safe enough that they could conceivably die of old age the slow burn method would be more effective.

Mmmh I distinctly remember them talking about how to get achievements before, and it not being miria's dream to get in the ocean so much as what the group decided the best way to get achievements, so it feels a bit weird for it to go 'this plan we always had doing what we always planned for it to do is a big relevation' That, and there is kind of a big assumption you don't need strength/influence to have big goals. In most worlds your ability to farm achievements is sharply limited by your abilities to influence the world, so doing dangerous stuff at 16 is significantly more useless than doing it at 35 when you are a commander of an army or whatever. Also Salia is gravely underestimating how much she would have gotten once she would have revolutionised the crafting of the place and gotten into mid or advanced grad crafting, or how much Felix would have gotten by hunting/etc.

Maria is the definitely in the lead. She's going to get all her stats to +20, so she'll have the overall highest stats again, unless she gets unlucky or. her friends get ridiculously lucky. If the next world has her essence type, she'll have two power systems to utilize each with a 90 total minimum essence, one she has experience with, and the other she is talented with.

Thanks for the chapter! :-)

The island ending felt quick, but appropriate for what they were doing. This chapter and the series of stories after their deaths helped wrap everything up nicely in my opinion. Especially the followup of their deaths, to give closure to a world we've come to enjoy.
