Yeah, I agree completely. Blind trust in the safety perk after all the perks that we have seen fail or not work properly seems like willful ignorance. Alternatively, the author is writing with the idea that the perk will always work properly for her experiments which is meta-knowledge that Alice couldn't possibly know.

I'm curious to see whether there's something useful at level 10 fisherwoman

So how long until she has to regrow a hand due to something going kaboom. Also having flash backs to her original months that survival perk always means she will have a supply of meat on hand.

She ignored "Object Analysis" when choosing the perks for some reason. This might be a mistake. Also, I don't know if she should trust "Safety Analysis" as much as she does. The description of the skill says that "you must already be familiar with all of the materials, participants, and location(s) of the experiment". Depending on how you choose to interpret this condition, the skill might be completely useless. After all, if you are already familiar with the experiment, why even bother conducting it. Also, she is explicitly interested in experimenting with stuff, that either breaks the System or at the very least is outside the System's normal operating conditions. What makes her think that a Perk would be able to correctly predict the safety of such experiments?

Fun stuff. I suspect rhetorical improvement will be much more helpful than she realizes given it's specific application and high requirements, debate can cover a lot.

when she grabs rhetorical improvement, is there supposed to be a listed stat boost in the description? the choice explanation after seems to suggest so, but it isnt in the description of the perk itself

edit (wrote it from phone before, tablet has bigger buttons for clumsy me ^^): Im quite unhappy with the 'enhanced seed' argument. The whole:its all for her combat ability but she sucks at it - makes her sound stupid. Like someone who made an argument just to make one, even if it dosnt make much sense. Reason: she only has kinetic seed with high conversation and one related class to boost said seed. The other seeds are all, what? 5% convert? The argument should have been: 'It supports her enchantment, but she dosnt want entchantment to be her focus for these decisions' - If that is even an argument at all. Honestly, she dosnt need to argue, if she likes the perk, she can get back to it if in the future if there is a perk combo with no good options. Her choice is, i think the correct one? She can use the perk again when she used her discard perk on the seed to see what other seeds can do, like for example the dimensional seed. Its a perfectly valid choice, in fact, its a such a great perk for her research that one has to wonder why she'd bring up combat at all?
