It's not that you bother me, definitely - it's just that I tend to avoid comments sometimes. I can't handle the big overflow of information and comments definitely constitute that on some days. And, since it's the internet, there are always a few comments that seem to be made in bad spirit - I definitely haven't felt like yours were ever done in such a way, so feel free to keep commenting! Light criticism is helpful for me to grow as an author, after all :). I just acknowledge that I'm not very active in comments sometimes. I enjoy reading comments, I just need a way to limit the amount of comments I see, and the amount of time I spend interacting with them - otherwise I obsess over comments and go into a weird negativity spiral.

Railgun? Really? Should have nothing to do with kinetics, and everything to do with electromagnetism.

I really like how she chooses thing that will be immediately useful and life saving in spite of her desire. It really shows that this world is dangerous and shes taking it seriously.

Hmm, didnt think about it that way. Its true that for a standing army youd go for 1 to 10 ratio if not higher. Also its true again that armies break after loosing 20-30% at most. A full wipe is a rare thing. I just thought of it from the point that mages are made to kill someone to 'bloody' them. So from there i thought that guards, especially caravan guards would have a high percentage to do so. But from a realistic pov, i guess the ratio from people who have killed and who have not is pretty large... Thx for pointing that one out to me.

*ouch* Ok, no that explains a lot. Thx for telling, wont bother you again (dont mean it in a bad way). If that helps you to keep 'happy' or 'stable' then im all for it. Dont wish you any ill, so if not looking at comments as much as possible helps you, then thats for the best. :)

Strictly speaking, I do occasionally respond - however, after I post a chapter, I generally only respond for a few hours, and then go 'offline' until I post the next chapter. This 'few hours' window also drastically varies in length based on my mood, whether I'm busy for the rest of the day, etc. So basically, it's pretty inconsistent. I have a rather odd relationship with comments - I can find them both encouraging and discouraging at strange intervals, even for the same comment. Eventually, my beta reader suggested I just outright avoid reading them for the sake of my mental health. I have... kind of complied with this? I mean, I still read them right before and after I post a chapter, but I tend to avoid replying to them, and I try not to read to much. Thus, it could also be said that every time I read and respond to a comment, it's kind of a failure of willpower on my part XD. I think it's not a terrible idea to occasionally interact with the reader base, but it's also important to preserve my mental state for writing the next chapter. Maybe this sort of reaction is just me? I'm not sure. Either way, I recognize that I definitely have anxiety problems, and I would even go as far as saying those are the biggest barrier I tend to have when I'm writing. I've tried to consciously reduce the influence external sources can have on my mental state so that I can take in a little bit of positivity without going so far into the rabbit hole of comments and overthinking that it gets in the way of my writing. To do this I have DEFINITELY created some pretty weird compromises and rules for myself. But... uhh... it works?

Regarding the name, the System's naming sense is definitely twisted. This is something that, as far as naming sense goes, is 'incorrect' by modern standards, but keep in mind that the System is, by design, imperfect and thus is sometimes prone to errors like this one. It's part of the System's role in world-building, and can be regarded as a very small hint in this case...

Yeah, that's one of the comments I was referencing. As for the murderer bit - it isn't that getting one would immediately disqualify one from entering the town, it would just lead to follow-up questions. And while there are quite a few ex-soldiers, guards, etc. in the country, it's still a low overall percentage of the population - an average middle-ages society is generally only capable of sustaining around 1 combatant for every 15 or so people, give or take a bit. Granted, the System does change this number around quite a bit, because Perks, high levels, etc. can drastically alter the output of the average citizen and the top end of society. However, I still figure the ratio shouldn't be higher than 1 combatant per 8 or 9 people, even with that in play. It's also a given that a lot of soldiers won't necessarily successfully kill someone - in a battlefield, plenty of people miss, or sit around in the back lines, etc cetera. Even for professional soldiers today, it's not like every soldier has killed an enemy soldier, after all. This makes the action of actually killing another human being far rarer than one might expect given 'normal' circumstances, even in a world prone to violence like this one. You have to keep in mind that there's a big difference between 'combatant' and successfully killing someone, simply by weight of sheer probability and ability. Not everyone is going to see combat, not everyone will successfully kill an enemy soldier, etc. After all, realistically, EVERY SOLDIER successfully killing an enemy soldier in an army would indicate that in the real world, every army would lose 50% of it's combatants in a fight whenever two equally sized armies clashed. THis is frankly ridiculous, and has almost never happened in real history - an army tends to break after taking 20%-30% casualties. Many of these will be crippling but nonlethal wounds. In most LITRpg's the lethality is just far, far higher than is in any way realistic, but I was trying to bring the injury and death count back towards a more realistic toll, especially given the rarity of {Murderer} in this chapter.

Just did a small check on RR. Im glad to report: Acaswell dosnt talk to the people there either. ^^

Now that I've read the chapter I stand by my earlier statement that the name of the achievement should be 'Killer' or 'Kin-Slayer' and should be a lower rarity. Especially because Illa seemed surprised she hadn't killed someone before. Which further strengthens the fact that it's not a rare title. It's rarity should at least be lower than the mana baptism. Other than that I liked the chapter and think switching to 1 a week(with occasional extra) would be good. I personally prefer a every {insert day} schedule. Though you could just commit to the 1/week chapter on RR and still try to do more on patreon. But only promise 3, or whatever, chapters ahead. That way you can feel good when you get an extra chapter out, and if you need to delay a chapter or two it's no big deal.

ShadeByTheSea

I kinda have to agree. Killer might work, but I also think it should be a 7 or 8 rarity. Almost anyone who has fought bandits will have the title, also almost all the soldiers that survived a war would have it. Murderer titles can be used for stories like cinnamon bun because the world is just all kinds of fucked up, and it's mainly used in comedic effect(because she's murdering unthinking ghosts).

Sorry, don't agree with this stupid achievement unless the system is bugged up to hell. "A murderer is a person who kills deliberately and without justification" -> definition of the word. Her killing was in direct self-defence against violence directed to extinguish her life. So she is not a murderer at all. Kindly fix this. Not to mention anyone who defends against bandits will be walking around with [Mass Killer] and [Mass Murderer] achievements then - a rarity of maybe 2/3. 4 is ridiculously high.

Uhhhhh - i think thats exactly what i posted before? Posting a chapter every week and doing a bonus chapter for patreons once a month would help with the schedule and help you get your account where you want it to be. So, no problems from my side if you're leaning in that direction. :) Liked the way alice handled the post situation of her killing someone. Buuuut i was a bit puzzled about the achievement. Wasnt she asked about exactly this kind of achievement when she entered the town? From what i understand the country is full of ex-soldiers, or guards, bodyguards, caravan guards etc. The 'murderer achievement' should be so far spread that asking about those sounds like a waste of time? So, instead of murderer, which dosnt take into account the actions of the other party, maybe find an achievement name that fits the situation and still tells she killed a nother person of the same species? If murder is murder no matter what in the system, its hardly any indication of who is really a murderer that needs prosecution, right?
