calculus was only taught in advanced math in my highschool :/

Something like “31: A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World” instead of “A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World - Chapter 31” would do the trick.

Please consider changing your post titles so that the chapter number is visible in the summary. Right now RECENT POSTS is just a list of “A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy…” repeated over and over.

pretty sure it was available, but the highest people were required to take was precalc

Lino

Is calculus not part of the curriculum where you are from? I just had basic math courses in high school and we had calculus.

Lino

Having the changes listed is great.

Thr seeker of truth achievement is pretty obvious. She has to be an "innovator". So the first to discover something substantial in her environment or her society. Like electircity or something like that. So, even if someone else discovered it, as long as they hadn't shared it she should get the achievement from the discovery.

that much i figured. just that if something as (overall) simple as normal algebra or trig is considered "advanced" (or assuming it is, if very basic algebra's considered intermediate), then what would more advanced math like wavefunctions, multivariable calc, and differentials be counted as?

I think the MC wasn't hyper smart or anything but may have been doing some advanced classes in High School so I'd expect quadratic equations at a minimum. Maaaaybe some trig/calc/linear alg since she was also supposed to be real interested in science in general? That'd be about the best I'd expect for a brainy but non-genius high schooler. So wavefunctions and such are probably out.

TFTC! So if basic algebra is intermediate, wonder what advanced counts as? parabola equation solving? trig? basic calc? and then that raises the question of stuff like normal calc, multidimensional calc, wavefunctions, differentials, etc.. though considering she was... 15? when she got here, so first or second year of high school, probably only knows up to trigonometry/precalc, or maybe basic calculus depending on what she's done? And by the achievement title that Cecilia got, im guessing that's due to Alice already doing the discovery, and guiding her through it
