To make sure ive got it: enchanting is 1GS per lesson, payable in coin or mana, she makes 7SC of mana every two days, gets 1.5GS/mo from Illa (ch22 "I will pay up to one golden sun a month for you to learn enchanting" and "I will also reduce your pay per month from one golden sun to five silver crowns") and its up to 8 lessons a month over the next 2 months, right?

swapped the CP-CA and CA-SS converts. "big copper coins, each of which were worth five small coppers. one big copper could purchase one skewer of meat and vegetables from one of the stalls in the area. Four big coppers made up one small silver," from c13. And what i meant was is that if you count the smallest currency (pauper) as 1 'unit', then by conversion ratios you can get equivalent value for every coin (eg if CP=1 and 5CPs per CA then CA is worth 5, and if SS is 4 CA then SS would be 20 'units'). Not to say a base unit has been established, but to give a rough idea of how much everything is worth based on what it would be in other coins and by the lowest unit, how much everything would be in paupers

Currency is a lot messier than that, because I wanted to have the currency system be a bit close to realism than convenience. In this case, it's 4 Copper Paupers -> 1 Copper Artisan, 5 Copper Artisans -> 1 Silver Sun, 5 Silver Suns to 1 Silver Crown, and 10 Silver Crowns to 1 Golden Sun. Maybe I went a bit overboard in that respect XD. Alice does not currently know the Golden Sun to Golden Crown conversion. Should be 1 Silver Sun per lesson, not one Crown. Whoops! I will edit!

System enhancement seems like it doesn't need fuel because it doesn't do anything that requires fueling. We know from this chapter that it only affects the person wearing it. That's it. Ups a skill, grants a skill, whatever specific thing. The item and enchantment is obviously interacting with the person using it, but that doesn't inherently require fuel. The person wearing the enchantment is using whatever resource is required for that skill, they're not drawing on some "well" in the item. A sword grants you the ability to cut people, but you're the one swinging the blade. A sword requires no fuel, just as these enchantments don't. Both would probably require maintenance, though. And who knows if these enchantments fade over time or what. Or if some are so ridiculous they do require fuel, even if only a little? Plenty of possibilities.

Considering the system enhancement of people (that mana goes into and improves them and thus their stats) im guessing that a system enhancement is powered by the mana in the surroundings... Though if that's the case then they either wouldnt work or possibly produce an undesired effect if a system enchanted item is brought into a zone heavy in broken mana, such as where Alice got summoned

Joseph

Actually the most interesting to me from reading this is system enchanting - It needs no fuel? Sounds like a very good spot to research to figure out why that is and if it can be used elsewhere.

When the price for lessons is first given it's one golden sun. Later she thinks of it as one golden crown each lesson. One or the other is wrong. Silly question. I know originally, Alice could only use one "tendril" from her kinetic seed. While she's affected more than one object in her lessons recently, I don't think she's ever mentioned being able to use more than one tendril before now. Did I miss it? If not, might want to toss in that she picked that up at some point, rather than tossing it in unexplained this chapter.

Its the same as if you speak of how much energy fuel holds - in this case it would be: how much mana does this fuel hold. You can use monster cores - but there are (probably) also all kind of other things that hold mana in more or lesser degrees. Which makes them fuel for the enchantment.

Early in the chapter its listed as one sun per lesson (not including materials), but towards the end its listed as one crown per lesson. also TFTC! Also, to make sure i have the currency down, it's: 1GC = 10GS = 100SC = 500SS = 2k CA = 10k CP, or if you do lowest is 1 unit: CP = 1, CA = 5, SS = 20, SC = 100, GS = 1k, and GC = 10k? the gold sun-crown conversion rate wasnt given with the rest so i assumed a 10:1 rate; though the other smallcoin-bigcoin convert rates are 5:1 so maybe that idk

The Priest doesn't know about her new achievement.

lenkite

he had gotten permission from some of the children -> repeated twice Its fuel efficiency -> Its mana efficiency There is overuse of the word 'fuel' in this chapter. Is it something other than mana ?

D

New month, new chapter, thank you! :)

Lictor Magnus

I'm surprised the priest didn't hound her more about what she had learned. Especially with her achievement as proof. I wonder if people who make such discoveries become saints. With people being able to show their status you'd think that would cut down on people being called heretics.
