Copy/Pasted directly from Royalroad Shameless plug! You can read ahead 2 chapters if you donate at least 3 dollars there. By the end of the month, I intend to 'finish' the three dollar tier at an extra three chapters ahead of public

Raven

On Royalroad is chapter 17, here is 19, so 3$ tier is not 3 chapters ahead.

I have to say if it was me in this situation and i wouldve to divulge so much of my most intmate personal information i would be angry in the extreme, not that i would take action in that situation but i would hold a very deep grudge.

She didn't have to agree to the terms of the system contract . So not really a privacy issue

lenkite

"harassed-looking fifteen year old girl" Does she have an [Inspect] skill to read age ?

lenkite

So, no [Privacy] law. Seems strange since I am utterly certain most high-level people would NOT want to list their entire status in front of a court that is NOT sworn to confidentiality. So anything that triggers some crime perk will necessitate the full status listing of an accused with no confidentiality agreement ? Thats nonsense and also unlikely - since most high-levels of folks in power will overturn the law

TromJH2424

Ya, I’m pretty sure that’s what’s going to save her

That sounds like they just violated the contact.

D

Cliffs, i hate them... x)

Null

It was a little forced but it just the start. Let's hope the author upload more often to wash this mess... I was impatient in finding a good story that i jumped to one who it's just starting. ಥ‿ಥ

What a cliffhanger

Nimps

She is also a nobody, why would they care?

MadGod

So she was screwed over from the start? She would have been tagged as a criminal by perks no matter where she went?

Nimps

Yeah, I won't make a judgment either way on the current story direction, but I do hope we don't end up with servitude contracts. It's bad enough that the entire world will now know she is an outworlder. I find it a little weird that considering the array of people judging the proceedings they would allow a full detailed inspection of an innocents status... because she was innocent of the murder when they told her to tell them.

Kapelteta

Interesting that there was no confidentiality clause as part of the hearing considering it seems to be fairly taboo to ask exacting questions about someone's classes, as seen by the questioning of the merchant. I get that they are asking questions of someone under suspicion of murder, but it is still interesting where they draw that line.

Strictly speaking, the contract is between Illa and Alice. Lady Vallis has no such obligation, although it would screw Illa over. Not to mention, there is a reason few nobles are in the South - it's a backwoods. Given the fact that she is there, it is NOT because it's an opportunity or anything of the sort...

Niraada

After going to the trouble of stating in the contract that no one could harm her, someone goes and tries to harm her? Seems to me like the sort of person that wouldn't be involved with proceedings since it would invalidate her required cooperation. o.o

Haran

While cliffhangers in themselves are frustrating, they also pull you out if the story. When the next chapter comes out all tension from this one will be lost and you will have to build it up again.

tibbish

Good chapter but these cliff hangers just keep coming
