Trap Online Chapter 239: Leveling Issues

It was about the three main factions and the split that was starting to grow. The party marked the increased hostility between the Neutral, Righteous, and Demonic factions.
The Neutral faction was annoyed with the Demonic side because of the Corruption some smaller factions of the Demonic party insisted on creating and collecting. They were growing even more annoyed with the over-input that the Righteous factions started to act with. They were like a bunch of bulls in a glassware store with no care or regard for the glass. They went on a killing spree of anyone that did not fully agree with them, or they considered 'evil,' which was, by their definition, all changing.
The Neutral faction was extremely steady. They cared mostly about keeping the status quo and the world around us more pristine for future generations. Which holy light and corruption can damage. Heal too many animals and thoughtlessly, and there were no dead deer or scavengers for the trees. Everything had a balance, and all it takes is either the demons or the Righteous to fuck it all up.
But now the Demons seemed to be planning something. They kept their forces to themselves and even punished smaller factions for spreading their corruption. This starkly contrasted the Righteous, who was moving forward everywhere. They were pushing scriptures and their religions onto people and even starting plagues to push people to believe in their gods.
Lady Greencloak explained it simply and said something I had to agree with.
When you are going through hard and need to change, god or the devil are great excuses for your pain. Either god is testing you, or the devil is playing with you and wanting you to join his side. The real answer was shit happens, and God or the Devil had nothing to do with it. So what happened with the two expeditions was getting smaller factions to paint themselves into a side of the conflict in Dark City with only one outlier. The Gnome Beth was just looking to kill the one man, which gave that person a giant target on their back.
The question I had to ask was simple, "Whose side are you and Lady Yancy on?" I asked,
Lady Greencloak smiled, "That is for us to know. To be honest, you helped us a lot lately, and I like you, Elli, but you are still unknown. You just showed up after the Elven forest and have yet to earn our full trust. Now, what I will tell you is that the Righteous are our enemies. Do not do anything to assist them unless it is to infiltrate their ranks."
"Yes, Lady Greencloak," I replied, nodding.
"Good. Now, the streets are not going to see the increasing tension right away, but I already know about that senior blacksmith you poached; now, we took a bit of heat for that. MAKE SURE YOU USE HIM. Seriously, Use the gold, start a shop, and ensure you do not lose him. A senior is one out of a thousand journeymen blacksmiths, and Journeymen are much better than anything like a novice or an apprentice. So you can use him, allow him to grow, and make sure you keep him under your thumb, or it will be a waste. Seriously, We took more heat than you think."
"Okay, I was planning on having him work for the benefits that we gave him, too. The Blacksmith has just been filled with equipment," I told her honestly.
"What benefits can you give him?" Lady Greencloak said, her eyes narrow, and I grinned and showed her my ass after standing up, which was harder to do than I thought it would be. "Oh, He likes it that much?" She asked bluntly.
"Yeah, whenever I am available," I lied, and she nodded.
"Well, then, find more to keep him there; the ass pussy can only keep someone around as long as the ass pussy is good. Now, moving on, Lady Yancy and I have decided to promote you to the next level of customers. No longer just the lower-level dipshits you had and bosses trying to incentivize their employees, understood?" I nodded, and I felt like this was getting annoying as she rattled on a bit about small things.
It seemed that they were truly bringing me into their organization, whatever that was. It was one of the true movers of Dark City, though, and so I wanted to be a part of it. Then Lady Yancy suddenly entered and put down the box. It was a box that Devil showed me, and she smiled, "Here it is, for her eyes only. I will see you soon." Just as fast as Lady Yancy entered, she left with that box.
"This is the reward you got for the members you allowed inside you. They gave us a small token of their appreciation, but as per tradition, you get to keep everything others give you. We have no idea what is in there, only that they would put their reputation on it. If there is something you think is trash, show it to Lady Yancy or myself. I guarantee it isn't trash. You just don't know what it is. " Lady Greencloak smiled viciously if it is trash, "I also know who to talk to. They would not like the repercussions."
"Fantastic, is that everything?" I asked, and Lady Greencloak smiled and nodded.
"Yes, that is everything. I would like to play with you today, but even after a day, you are still recovering. Lady Yancy has given you the next three days off. I will see you when you get back. Enjoy your rewards," Lady Greencloak said and walked out of the room.
I was now alone, and when I tried to get to my feet, my body throbbed. I looked at my character sheet and gasped.

What the hell? I still did not level up. What is with the ridiculous conditions to level up? I was fucked by the most powerful people to unconsciousness, and I was not even leveled up once! I needed to talk to Victoria about this. This was an insane number, and I thought I had been rushing it quickly.
No, I would have to ask why it took so long to level up. But maybe she did not know either? I wonder if people were complaining about this, too?
My mind whirled, and I thought about logging out and asking. I made over three hundred thousand experiences in one night and still did not level up. I felt robbed for some reason and my ass was sore. I groaned and started to get up, only to realize I needed to take my time and stretch.
Thank god Lady Greencloak did not take me here and now.
I wouldn't know if I could survive.
