🕑 Added 2023-07-02 22:52:31 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Just a quick little update here about what's going on and what is coming up. First of all, I do have an updated roadmap here; as I've mentioned previously, 1.2.5 is focused on the PC Feminization storyline, as well as Liam's storyline, but I am also continuing work on the UI. One thing of particular note is that this update includes a rework to the bars (femininity, job XP, etc.)! I know that isn't very exciting news for most of you, but its just something I'm personally happy about because the bars have been a thorn in my side for a long time now.
I've been just using the meter css element to make things easier, but they have been very finicky, especially in chrome. Not only that, but as I've tried to show in the image above, the default settings look different between FireFox and Chrome. Some issues with Chrome have prevented me from fixing them, but finally I've thrown it all away and just put together new bars using custom css elements, so not only do I have complete visual control, but it looks correct across both browser types!
Ultimately, not only do I want to improve the UI elements in general to both look and function better, but I also think it's important to make sure that the experience is equal on all platforms so I do hope that you understand why I feel the need to put time into these sort of things. And of course, this idea extends to playing on mobile and I will continue trying to make some of the more compressed areas function better there as well.
But back to the actual content, we are coming up on the end of this update cycle once again and, as I try to focus more on adding more stuff rather than updating existing content, I'd like to move even more in that direction with the 1.3 series. The main storyline going through the three towns has been a little neglecting and I'd like to add some more content (and rewards!) around it, as well as putting more emphasis on the game world. As I was looking through some older scenes earlier, I realized there are still some areas that feel mostly pointless that I'd like to fix up and make more interesting (such as looking around the park and watching television). That, along with trying to allow you to bring main characters with you to locations (like maybe taking some of them to the hot springs?), I'd like to make the world feel more like a worthwhile part of the game and not just the hallway between storyline scenes.
